Abbie Chatfield’s new boyfriend Peking Duk frontman Adam Hyde has revealed his cancer scare.

The musician revealed he was recently diagnosed with skin cancer as he confirmed his new romance with the TV and radio star, 28 It’s a lot of podcast.

‘I get a call from the Australian Skin Cancer Clinic [while I was in LA] and the receptionist said that because of the results I have booked a procedure for tomorrow,” he explained.

‘I hadn’t gotten the results yet, so I was confused. And I thought it was serious and that it was melanoma.”

Adam said he spoke to the doctor, who told him he had “double cancer in his neck.”

“I’m going to have the full surgical treatment done and apparently it’s not melanoma,” he added.

Adam then urged listeners to get their skin checked regularly.

‘I have moles all over my body. “I spent too much time in the sun growing up, so it’s important to get your skin checked,” he said.

‘I was so worried, I thought, “I don’t know if I have enough things to talk to this person about.” But we had a really good date, and it was actually still the best date of my life,” she said.

Adam agreed, adding: “It was incredible. It looked like something out of a fairy tale.’

Abbie explained that her crush on Adam continued to develop as they spent time together.

“Then we had sex for the first time, and it was fine,” she said before revealing how they spent the next day by the pool.

“We were sitting by the pool drinking margaritas… and the sex got crazy,” she continued.

Abbie said Adam “always makes her feel safe and calm” and that their relationship is “so good and perfect.”

“Not only are we so in love, but we have a very healthy relationship,” she added.

Abbie’s confession comes after she recently announced that she will no longer be sharing details about her own romantic conquests in the future.

“I’m trying not to say who I’m dating because the last time I told everyone it ended a bit tragically,” she said during an appearance on The Sunday Project in November.

Abbie, who split from Bachelorette star Konrad Bien-Stephen last August after about a year of non-exclusive dating, explained that whoever she dates is always concerned that they will end up as “content” on her podcast.

The Masked Singer judge admitted that she has a habit of telling her dates that they won’t be discussed on her show before breaking her promise once they break up.

Abbie has previously dated Ash Williams, Konrad Bien-Stephens, Danny Clayton, Nathan Favro, Todd King, Jamie Doran, Ciarran Stott, Tommy Little and Matt Agnew.
