Josh Brolin took to Instagram on Wednesday to celebrate 10 years of sobriety.

The Sicario star, 55, shared a photo of his 10-year sobriety chip from Alcoholics Anonymous, with the words, “Josh “F****n” Brolin.”

In the caption of the post, the actor – who has marked some of his previous sober milestones on social media – wrote that he shared the achievement as inspiration for others.

“Today is no more to be celebrated than any other day, with the exception that it represents to others who are contemplating a way out of their tornado of shame that there exists a life in which that overpressurized piece of coal that is you will eventually turn into the diamond of freedom you always deserved to be.”

Sobriety coins are given as tokens to members of the twelve-step program as a way to indicate how long they have stayed sober.

Brolin entered rehab for substance abuse in 2013 after repeatedly appearing drunk in public.

That same year, he would split with his ex-wife Diane Lane after eight years of marriage.

The actor has been open about his journey to sobriety, having previously posted photos of himself drunk and disorderly.
