Maralee Nichols is shutting down a social media user’s allegations about the nature of her relationship with ex Tristan Thompson.
“I was definitely not a one night stand,” 32-year-old Nichols wrote in a now-deleted message Instagram respond on Tuesday, December 19 via a screenshot via Page six. “That is a false and defamatory statement you are making about me.”
Nichols made headlines in December 2021 when she sued Thompson, 32, for child support, saying he was the father of her unborn baby. Nichols revealed that they conceived their only child together in March, when he was in a public relationship with his now ex. Khloe Kardashian. (Thompson has never spoken publicly about the nature of his relationship with Nichols.)
Kardashian, 39, learned about the scandal through the news just a month after she and the NBA star performed an embryo transfer with a surrogate mother. (Kardashian and Thompson share daughter True, 5, and son Tatum, 16 months. He also shares son Prince, 6, with ex Jordan Craig.)
“I discover what Tristan does to the rest of the world. Out of politeness, I wouldn’t do it,” Kardashian said during a June episode The Kardashians. “But hey, if you do it, aren’t you going to give me a heads up in front of the rest of the world? It’s just another slap in the face. It’s humiliating. I am ashamed. I’d rather be alone than be among people.”
She added at the time: “I repeat every event, every grand gesture, every journey [and] any date. That was all a lie. How could you not say something? I just don’t feel real in my own body.
During Nichols’ trial, Thompson claimed he did not father her baby. After taking a DNA test, Thompson confirmed in January 2022 that Theo – Nichols had given birth to a baby boy in December last year – was his son.
After Nichols welcomed Theo, she requested more than $47,000 a month in child support from Thompson. We weekly confirmed in August 2022 that Thompson “pays and has paid child support to Ms. Nichols retroactively to the date she gave birth to the child.”
Less than a year after Theo’s arrival, Kardashian and Thompson — who split in late 2021 following his paternity scandal — welcomed baby No. 2 via a surrogate in July 2022. Kardashian has since claimed she has no plans to reconcile with the Los Angeles family. Lakers athlete. They are focused on co-parenting True and Tatum.
Thompson has also since apologized for his actions. “I’m now in a place where I can acknowledge the mistakes I’ve made,” he said in a November episode The Kardashians.
