Unavailability of wheelchair led to heart attack: 80-year-old walks 1 km at Mumbai airport and dies

Mumbai: The unavailability of a wheelchair claimed the life of one elderly passenger bee Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. The shocking incident took place on February 12 when a 80 year old passengerwho had requested wheelchair assistance from the airport staff for a Air India flight by New York Unpleasant Mumbaiwalked about 1km and collapsed from a heart attack. The deceased airman was traveling through immigration accompanied by his wife. The elderly couple had booked two wheelchairs in advance, but the staff gave only one to the woman, TOI reported. The 80-year-old was walking next to his wife and when they reached the immigration counter, the man collapsed, suffered a heart attack and collapsed.
