“We are confident we have located Luke and Jesse,” NSW Police Commissioner Karen Webb said on Tuesday.

Detectives believe Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, were killed by police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon last Monday.

Lamarre-Condon, 28, Baird’s ex-boyfriend, was charged with two counts of murder last Friday.

Last Wednesday, he was seen buying an angle grinder and weights, police said.

Former Australian TV presenter Baird and his friend were last seen on February 19 in Paddington, a suburb of Sydney.

A search for the couple was launched after blood-covered clothing was found in a rubbish bin in Sydney.

Police fear Lamarre-Condon could have killed the pair at their Paddington home before transporting them to Bungonia.

Authorities also said the suspect could have transported the bodies in a white rental van

New South Wales Police said the alleged killer took a female acquaintance to the remote property last Wednesday.

They allege he broke the gate’s lock before leaving the woman at the gate, driving the van onto the property and returning to her at the gate 30 minutes later, police said.

The acquaintance, who has been cooperating with police, said she “didn’t know the bodies were in the vehicle,” New South Wales Police Assistant Commissioner David Hudson said.
