Britain's most wanted celebrity dinner guests of all time revealed: do you agree?

SIR David Attenborough has been named the most wanted British dinner guest of all time in a poll.

The much-loved Blue Planet presenter, 97, received 18 per cent of the vote, just ahead Princess Diana by 17 percent.

Queen Elizabeth II was tied for fourth place with actor Robin Williams.

Chief Gordon Ramsay57, was the best choice to prepare the food while the late Queen was frontman Freddie Mercury recommended as a favorite to be a guest and provide music.

More than a third believed that a good conversation is the most important quality for a guest.

But about a quarter would choose their mother, father or partner over one celebrity dude, found the survey for Findmypast.

Attenborough has had a career spanning seven decades, traveling the world, filming the world and its wildlife, often in remote locations.

His most recent documentary used to be Planet Soil 3which returned last year after a six-year hiatus.

Attenborough married wife Jane in 1950 she died in 1997 from a cerebral hemorrhage.

The esteemed historian has two children, a son named Robert and a daughter named Susan.
