Tango Mango hits the shelves this month

This latest rotation is the successor to Tango's popular Paradise Punch flavor and will meet the demand for mango-flavored drinks, giving shoppers more sugar-free options without sacrificing taste.

The fruit-flavored carbonated drink will be available for 12 months from February 1 and can be consumed at home or on the go.

The flavor will be available in different formats: 330 ml cans, 500 ml bottles, 2 liter bottles, multipacks of 8 cans and multipacks of 24 cans.

Shoppers have already taken to Facebook after spotting the 2-litre bottles in Asda this weekend.

One Tango fan said: “Mango Tango? I love the rhyme!”

Another said: “This is a bit of me.”

“It's beautiful,” said a third customer.

Britvic has listed the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MRSP) for each size.

It advises retailers to sell individual 330ml cans for 80p each and 500ml bottles for £1.99.

It recommends that 2 liter bottles retail for £3.19 and multipacks of 8 cans for £5.29.

Multipacks of 24 cans have a recommended retail price of £12.49.

It is up to individual retailers to choose their prices, so you may get the product cheaper or more expensive depending on which retailer you visit.

Ben Parker, UK retail commercial director at Britvic, said: “Our next major flavor launch, Tango Mango, will drive appeal among new and existing Tango fans and generate additional sales opportunities for retailers.

“We understand that retailers do not have infinite space for new products, but the Tango Editions range has already proven to generate additional sales, and the seasonal changes ensure that excitement and engagement with the brand is maintained.

“Additionally, Tango Mango aims to attract a broader range of shoppers, including Gen Z and families, expanding sales opportunities for retailers.

“Innovating in the fruit-flavored carbonates category will always be important for Tango – with new and exciting sugar-free flavors that play to the brand's bold, fun tone and personality and help increase consumer purchases.”

It comes just days after Britvic announced that Tango will be releasing Raspberry Blast and Cherry Blast flavors.

These two flavors are commonly known as the combination used in the Ice Blast slushies we see in movie theaters across the country.

Fans of the new flavors are ecstatic after hearing the news.

Tango changed the recipe for its iconic organic-flavored soda in 2019.

Fans can also get an alcoholic Tango Ice Blast cocktail, but this is only available in one UK bar.

Vimto Discovery Zero will also release new flavors with passion fruit and lychee and mango and dragon fruit flavors.

Vimto was founded in Manchester in 1908 after its owner saw a business opportunity in the temperance movement.

Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer has launched its own soft drink brand with retro styling on the can and retro flavors such as cream soda.
