Prince Harry and Meghan say they were in a ‘near catastrophic’ chase

Prince Harry, his wife Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex and her mother, Doria Ragland, were involved in a “near catastrophic” car chase in New York on Tuesday night while being followed by paparazzi, a spokesman said.

“Last night the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Mrs Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a group of very aggressive paparazzi,” a statement said.

“This relentless pursuit, which lasted more than two hours, resulted in multiple near misses involving other road users, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.”

The New York Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the incident.
