I lost 238 pounds, but it ruined my sex life

A woman who’s lost a whopping 238 pounds says the “noisy” leftover excess skin has ruined her sex life — and she needs nearly $9,000 to get rid of it.

Scarlet Cosi, 36, of Alabama, says she was once so big she was cruelly nicknamed “spare tire” by her classmates.

Once a comfort and binge drinker, Scarlet admitted that she used to eat a “sickening” amount of food and drink — a habit that cost her about $11,000 a year.

She suffered a double loss in 2018 when her mother died and her marriage ended, escalating her junk diet until she tipped the scales at a whopping 392 pounds.

Her new body was riddled with heavy folds, “saggy breasts” and infections, and in 2019 she was referred for gastric sleeve surgery.

After surgery and a healthier lifestyle, Scarlet was ecstatic as she dropped a whopping nine dress sizes.

Unfortunately, the battle had only just begun, as she now feels “shocked” by the “fluttering noises” her excess skin makes.

She said, “It really affected my intimacy and romantic life with my partner.

“It doesn’t matter how I twist, bend or lean, something hangs on me.

“I don’t like being intimate because I’m afraid of my own body all the time. I make fluttering noises and all sorts of weird noises and squishes.

“My breasts look like I’ve had a litter of puppies or something. They are terribly soft.

“I have to roll it up and put it in my bra if it runs out at the top or bottom.

“Or if you were the one on top, it’s just nothing but sagging, melting skin and you know your partner loves you, but you know it’s probably horrifying to watch.”

Scarlet says she is “embarrassed” at the sight of her body and would rather be “asexual” so no one would be forced to look at her.

She adds that the loose skin has seriously affected things in the bedroom with partner Justin King, 34, calling their romp an “act of charity.”

What Scarlet ate for her diet

Breakfast: two large coffees, three biscuits (chicken, tenderloin or booze)

Lunch: 30 chicken strips, potato wedges and a cookie, with two green energy drinks

Dinner: Burritos, Crispitos, burgers and pizza sticks with coke and coffee

Dinner: Roast chicken with steamed vegetables or salad

At her heaviest, she struggled to breathe and stopped in her sleep, so she used a CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) machine.

She never drank water and instead opted for 12 packs of soda a day.

Now Scarlet is “desperate” to scrape together some cash to have her excess skin removed so she can feel confident in her own skin again.

A failed attempt to sell her nude photos on OnlyFans only raised $300, so now she’s raising $8,722 for the procedure.

She explained, “People think it’s a matter of vanity, it’s so much more than that.

“It causes health problems, the skin on my butt that hangs down is so heavy it hurts my nerves and makes it hard to bend over and sit up.

‘When I’m in a bath or in any other kind of water, my skin moves and floats around and looks funny. It’s like a jellyfish effect, really, I don’t know how else to describe it.

“I feel punished for all my hard work and have turned from one monster to another because of my skin.

“I’m still ashamed of my body and can’t be proud of it.

“I just want to know what it’s like to be confident for once.

“What I’m most looking forward to after my surgery looks normal.”

Still, her health has improved dramatically since her first surgery and 360 degrees of her lifestyle.

Scarlet says she worked hard to lose weight by exercising more and cutting her food intake by half.

Her shrunken diet consists mainly of lean meats, protein smoothies and vegetables.

However, the art lover remains deeply dissatisfied as she reminisces about the years she was taunted for her weight.

“All my life I was bullied because I was growing up,” Scarlet recalls.

“They called me ‘broad load’ and said ‘I’m so fat I should eat myself to death and leave it behind’ so they wouldn’t have to look at me.

“Words cut, but I was physically bullied. I was beaten around, tripped and hit.

“A gentleman came up to me when I was minding my own business and asked, ‘Aren’t you ashamed of being so fat?'”

“The bullying made me feel terrible. It made the world a very scary place to be.”

She tells of a “horrific” incident at Universal Studios where she was told she was “too fat” for the rides.

She said, “The most horrifying thing happened at Universal Studios.

“My boyfriend and I waited in line for two hours to ride two different rides, I’m finally here and I’m too fat for the rides.

“They say ‘it’s okay, we have a bigger seat for our bigger customers. Take the bigger seat!’ and I’m too fat for that.

“I was laughed at by everyone there, it was humiliating.

“Another time I was in a theater and the seatbelt didn’t click. It wouldn’t even go half way around me and they asked me to leave.

“I got up and ran and everyone is laughing. I was crying and humiliated, it was so crushing. They mocked me in a dark theatre, it was my worst nightmare’.
