IndiGo Deogarh Flight: Airline IndiGo is in the news again, just a day after the incident in Baku came to light on Tuesday. Now, on Wednesday, IndiGo, the country's largest airline, canceled its flight to Deoghar for the second day in a row, resulting in chaos at Terminal 2 of Delhi airport.

IndiGo flight 6E2198 was scheduled to depart Delhi for Deoghar in Jharkhand at 11 am but was reportedly canceled for the second day in a row, following which the passengers raised huge protests demanding answers, clarifications and updates from the IndiGo staff.

The airline's staff failed to provide convincing answers to the agitated passengers, officials said.

The main concourse of Delhi Airport's Terminal 2 saw passengers angrily protesting over the cancellation of the Deogarh flight by IndiGo as other angry and frustrated passengers joined them and the situation went out of control.

One of the passengers, who was left high and dry on Wednesday after the flight to Deogarh was cancelled, said, “My father is seriously ill. I would reach Deoghar to be with him. However, I was told the flight had been cancelled.”

Meanwhile, reports say that more than 50 flights were delayed earlier on Wednesday due to dense fog in the national capital.

On Tuesday, it was reported that an IndiGo aircraft bound for Azerbaijan's capital Baku took off without ATC clearance on January 29, following which the aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), grounded a pilot for allegedly taking off the IndiGo aircraft bound for Baku without air traffic controller (ATC) permission, after which Indigo assured to take appropriate action.
