New Delhi: The England cricket board has announced their eleventh players for the second Test match against India starting Friday, February 2 at the Dr. YS Rajashekar Reddy ACA-VDCA International Cricket Stadium – Visakhapatnam will be played.

Shoiab Bashir replaces Jack Leach, who has been ruled out due to a knee injury. On the other hand, James Anderson has replaced Mark Wood.

England have already won the first match and now the team will also want to win the second.

India are rarely under pressure at home but after a dramatic loss in Hyderabad they have plenty to think about and the absence of the injured Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul has made their task tougher.

Three years ago, the mighty hosts found themselves in a similar situation after losing the opening Test to England in Chennai but coming back to win the series.

However, the Joe Root-led side was a different breed back then and this time India are looking to fight back against a team that has redefined the way Test cricket is played and defied all odds to win the series opener after blowing a lead of 190 points on a track turn.

England batsmen, led by Ollie Pope, muscled their way to success in the first Test, catching Rohit and company by surprise as the world's most powerful spin trio looked ordinary.

India won't have the luxury of fielding Jadeja in this game, but Ashwin, four shy of the 500-wicket milestone in Tests, and Axar will have to rejig their plans to come back hard against their highly aggressive opponents who are sure to employ will be the sweeping tactic regardless of the circumstances.

Here is England's playing XI

1. Zak Crawley
2. Ben Duckett
3. Ollie Pope
4. Joe Carrot
5. Jonny Bairstow
6. Ben Stokes (C)
7. Ben Foakes
8. Rehan Ahmed
9.Tom Hartley
10. Shoaib Bashir
11.James Anderson
