King Charles III and Queen Camilla have sent a letter to a primary school that organized their own coronation.

Last May, children from St Gregory Primary School in Sudbury, Suffolk, crowned their very own King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Five-year-old George Herbert and five-year-old Olivia Banks dressed up as Charles and Camilla as classmates cheered them on, according to ITV news.

After the staged coronation, miniature King Charles’ first order was free ice cream for everyone, which led to even more cheers.

Now the children have received another treat: a letter from Charles and Camilla.

The sweet reenactment saw George in a crown and cloak as Charles and Olivia in a fur-lined cloak with a tiara as Camilla.

The pair walked hand in hand into the playground as the other children applauded the newly crowned mini royals.

Olivia said: ‘It was kind of fun and cool because when George said free ice cream for everyone, the ice cream truck came and it was so magical. I’m glad we got a ticket.’

Surprised, Charles and Camilla shared a moving feeling with the children.

The royal family sent them each their letter, supplemented with the coronation photo of Charles and Camilla in it.

The primary school children were happily given the opportunity to read the special letter.

Headteacher Daniel Woodrow said: ‘We took the letter to each class for all the children to open and read. It’s on very expensive paper, as you can imagine – the kind of paper the kids hadn’t seen before. ‘

‘And there is also a beautiful commemorative card.
