Kyle Walker admits he betrayed 'best friend' and 'right hand' Annie Kilner by fathering a secret illegitimate daughter, as the tearful footballer begs for forgiveness for his 'idiot choices and idiotic decisions'

Kyle Walker broke down on Sunday as he admitted to making “crazy choices and crazy decisions” while fathering a secret child during his marriage to “best friend” Annie Kilner.

Walker's three-year marriage to Kilner, who he met as a teenager, is in tatters after the Manchester City and England full-back was named as the father of influencer Lauryn Goodman's five-month-old daughter.

The footballer, 33, had already fathered a son, three-year-old Kairo, with Goodman following a previous split from Kilner in 2020.

In a rare interview about his personal life, Walker was close to tears as he reflected on moving from their family home in Cheshire and being forced to spend time away from his three children with Kilner, who is currently pregnant with their fourth.

He told The sun: 'What I did is terrible and I take full responsibility. I made crazy choices and crazy decisions. I can't begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I tried to ask her, but there is pain and hurt.

“The man who is supposed to love her, care for her and be there for her did this.”

Walker, who is expected to play a crucial role for Gareth Southgate's England at the European Championships in June, admits he wanted to “curl up in a ball” after his relationship with Goodman came to light in January.

He added: “The only one to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I am aware of and I have made stupid choices. But I have to admit my mistakes – I owe it to everyone.

“My actions have caused a lot of pain to many people. I'm sorry, because as a family this is not the intention.'

Kilner, who is expecting her fourth child with the footballer, announced earlier this month that she was splitting up after 13 years.

The split was confirmed days before MailOnline revealed he was the father of Goodman's daughter, known only as 'KW'.

The 81-cap England international initially broke his silence by apologizing to his wife for the 'upset' he caused her, a nod to his numerous cheating scandals.

He told The Sun on Sunday: 'How can I hurt someone I love so much? That's something I have to find within myself.

'I have to find out why I did this and why situations arose. I'm human and I've made mistakes both on and off the field.'

Killner was last seen heading to a gym in Cheshire on January 19, still not wearing her wedding ring, as she continued to break up the relationship.

MailOnline can reveal Walker is fighting to save his marriage. The couple married in 2022 but he continues to live separately from his wife after she kicked him out of their £2.4million marital home.

He will attend all her future baby scans and will remain present for their three children.

And Walker's bid for a reconciliation with Kilner is further strengthened by the fact that she has not yet spoken to any legal representatives about a future divorce.

A source close to the couple said: 'Annie hasn't spoken to a single lawyer yet. Currently, she is focusing on herself, her children and making sure her pregnancy goes smoothly.

“The longer she doesn't seek legal help, it gives Kyle hope that he can win her back.”

Walker showered Goodman with expensive gifts, took her to five-star hotels and even introduced her to his Manchester City teammates via FaceTime, MailOnline has learned.

Walker, who split from his wife Kilner after learning he fathered Goodman's daughter, also hoped he could combine both families without getting caught.

A friend of Goodman's even claims he mistakenly called her Annie the night their second child was conceived.

The new revelations come after sources close to Walker insisted their affair was short-lived following news that Annie is pregnant with their fourth child together.

However, friends of the influencer have hit back, saying the relationship lasted several years.

The friend said, “Kyle and Lauryn have done a lot together. There was a night they went to London together for a night out and he paid for them to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel.

“Kyle told Lauryn he loved her and they spent a lot of time together watching videos of Kairo.

'Not long afterwards they went to Cheshire and stayed for a week in an AirBnB on the edge of a lake. Annie would be away and the plan was for Kyle to stay with him.

'Annie didn't leave, though, so Kyle had to go back and forth every day, even though Annie kept asking him where he was. It was like a family outing with Kairo and of course there was a lot of romance.”

Walker, who has three sons with Kilner, also paid for Goodman to go to the Maldives with Kairo while she was pregnant with their daughter.

A source added, “There was a lot of FaceTiming between him and Lauryn, there was even phone sex together.

'Lauryn was pregnant and sent him bump and scan pictures. They already knew Lauryn was expecting a girl because they had done an early scan.'

Walker also allegedly financed a trip to Cancun, Mexico for Goodman and their son.

Sources also say he did not try to keep Goodman a secret, but introduced her to his team-mates Jack Grealish and Phil Foden while they were in Europe celebrating Manchester City winning the treble.

A friend told MailOnline: 'After they won there was obviously a lot of excitement, they were partying so they were all on cloud nine. Then Kyle Facetimed Lauryn while with Jack Grealish and Phil Foden.

“Lauryn was surprised. Phil picked up the phone and saw Kairo. He told Kyle how beautiful he is.”

While in England last summer, Walker also FaceTimed Goodman to say, “I love you, but sometimes you make me hate you.”

Their relationship was so strong that Walker FaceTimed daily from the Goodman team hotel during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar – once after an evening with his teammates, he told her he loved her.

He took home a World Cup football for Kairo and bought a Moncler jacket worth £700 for Christmas and last April he bought Kairo an iPad and several outdoor toys for his birthday, the source said.

Sources close to Lauryn also claim that Walker told her he wanted to “get everything in place for all the kids.” At one point he told her, “Money isn't everything to me. My life is over.'

Walker, who lives in a flat near his family home in Prestbury, Cheshire, is also said to beg Goodman to keep their secret romance – and their children – quiet.

The friend said, “Kyle told Lauryn that it had to stay between the two of them, that they had done that in the past and that it would be best for everyone if it stayed quiet.

“Kyle promised to be there for Lauryn and to unite the two families.

'Lauryn often told him to leave her alone, that he was only there when he wanted something. It's all a mess.'
