A mother sparked a debate after sharing a photo of the vegan lunch box her son received at a birthday party.

British mother Emma Lougar recently Posted a tweet to X, formerly known as Twitter, showing off a very thoughtful vegan lunch box made for her son at a birthday party.

The contents of the personalized meal were clearly labelled, consisting of a 'vegan' chicken burger, mini 'no eggs', sweet potato falafel bites and a vegan sausage roll.

Emma, a vegan herself, captioned the tweet: “My son is at a birthday party and look at this cute individual lunch box they made for him.”

She explained that she offered to provide his own meal and was happy her son's nutritional needs were met, but not everyone in the comments agreed.

A British mother was delighted by another parent's generosity when they custom-made a vegan lunch box just for her son, despite her offering to feed him

One X user wrote: 'How thoughtful and cute! They really know how to make a child feel special.”

Another added: “That's so nice, they managed to go a step further and include him.”

Another user echoed the same sentiment, saying: 'That's brilliant!!! Nice to see that some people like to do this.

“Maybe it's not huge, but if they're already doing that much, there's definitely more work to do to fix this, and it's much easier not to have done it.” Very well done!'

Meanwhile, someone with a sweet tooth was excited to discover that vegan KitKats exist.

One of them was happy that veganism has become mainstream and said: 'So different now because vegans and allergies are respected. In the 90's my son was treated like poison.

'No child in his year wanted to invite him or attend his birthday. Then it was McDonalds, disco, local fun factory (told to bring his own food to one). So well done, good to see.'

More was delighted with the party host's generosity, with one saying: 'This is so beautiful. And they didn't even skimp. That's a good lunch that someone has thought about'.

'While they could have simply accepted your offer to deliver something. So nice for your son that they did this.'

Emma replied: 'I know that automatically makes me think, 'This person cares about us'.'

However, not everyone was impressed with the fact that Emma's son followed a plant-based diet. One story criticized her parenting, saying, “Veganizing a child is criminal.”

And another expressed a similar sentiment, writing: 'No, that's really stupid. You are supposed to eat pizza and ice cream at a children's party, not food that they serve at a spa.

'No six-year-old cares about being healthy, they care about tasting things being delicious and this doesn't look delicious at all.'
