Quantum Leap The surprises keep coming as Addison and Tom make plans to walk down the aisle immediately after their engagement.

In We weeklyIn the exclusive clip from the upcoming episode, which airs on Tuesday, February 6, Addison and Tom tell the Quantum Leap team about their decision.

“You're getting married. Today,” Jenn (Nanisa Lee) says to the couple as they admire Addison's (Caitlin Bassett) ring. The bride-to-be seems aware of the fast-paced timeline, noting, “We know it's a little sudden, but we would love for you all to be there.”

Tom (Peter Gadiot), meanwhile, is on the same page as Addison. “Not to mention, eloping saves us the hassle of planning a wedding,” he adds.

Although Ian (Mason Alexander Park) is not happy about skipping wedding planning as that is their 'love language', Magic (Ernie Hudson) points out that the big day is “more about” Addison and Tom's love.

Addison also reminds the group that she has no positive memories of planning a wedding, adding, “Look, I planned a wedding once. Once was enough. This way it can be quiet, we can go to the courthouse around five o'clock and have a bite to eat.

At the end of the clip, Tom asks Addison if she regrets their choice.

“Are you sure I'm not rushing you?” he says before Addison responds, “If there's one thing I've learned from all of this, it's that you shouldn't wait to live.”

The surprise elopement comes shortly after Addison accepted Tom's proposal. The only problem seems to be the fact that her ex-fiance, Ben (Raymond Lee), is unaware of the latest developments in her personal life.

The former couple was mostly off for the entire second second after Ben realized he had been gone for three years. During his absence, Addison mourned Ben and eventually found love again with Tom. Since Ben is still jumping through time without a way to get back home, Addison chose to stay with Tom.

Ahead of Tuesday's episode, Bassett discussed how she rationalized Addison's relationship with Tom.

“I had always kind of broken it down where Addison and Ben were dreamers. They fell in love over a shared dream of this project and they were at a place in their lives where they just wanted to make the world a better place,” she shared exclusively. Us. “Who Addison became on the other side was when you realize that the world is going to break your heart and that you can't actually fix everything. That she accepted that and sat with it and [understanding] who she is after the dream dies a little. The kind of decisions you start making and then you start making a different kind of decisions.

Despite the ongoing turmoil in Addison's personal life, Bassett hinted that she was excited to see the story happen.

“The great thing about what's happening for Addison — and that's why my favorite part of the season is literally right now until the end — is that she's no longer dealing with things in the past tense and is bringing everyone up to speed on the present,” she explained . “Now she's going through things in the present tense and making decisions in the present tense that may not be fully informed, or may not be fully informed, or may not be fully accurate.”

Bassett continued: It's the first time Addison really gets to pilot her own ship and Ben has to deal with that. Instead of Addison dealing with it, which is much more fun.
