Jas, 25, bought the rusty old bus, which she has named Clover, from a man in Cornwall who had become too ill to drive it.

She plans to make it an off-grid home, which means she will have to generate her own electricity and create her own water supply.

Jas has provided insight into her bus renovation journey through videos posted to her TikTok channel @jas_in_a_bus.

Her videos are very popular among TikTok users and she has amassed over 60,000 followers on the video sharing platform.

Jas turns the bus into a static house, instead of a house she drives around in, since she doesn't have a driver's license to drive the bus.

Before she bought the bus, Jas and her son Bertie traveled around and saw the world in a camper for three years.

However, when Bertie reached school age, she decided that the duo should settle down.

Jas quickly realized that the rent and bills are extremely expensive, so he chose to live on the bus instead of buying a house.

Over the past year, Jas has fixed the bus herself while her son was sleeping.

She's picked up a plethora of DIY skills along the way, including using angle grinders, tools she “don't even know the names of” and using her entire body weight to drive screws into the metal bushing.

In a TikTok, Jas said: “It's slow progress, but I'm really enjoying the ride and I'm so proud of what I've done so far.”

In another video, Jas revealed that she is refurbishing the bus with completely free materials.

Some materials were given to her and donated and other things she found on the scrap heap.

She said she is aiming for the total cost of buying and renovating the bus to be just £8,000 – much cheaper than the cost of renting a house.

The single mother also plans to install solar panels on the bus to power her small home.

Jas' renovation still has a long way to go, but when complete it will have two bedrooms and a workspace upstairs, a kitchen and an open plan lounge area.

She has already installed a wood stove to heat her house and there are large water tanks in the corner of the bus.
