Two men stabbed at a busy train station in front of shocked onlookers – while a man is taken into custody

Police have arrested a man after two men were stabbed outside a busy train station in the city.

The two men were reportedly attacked late Wednesday afternoon outside South Bank railway station, in central Brisbane.

One of the victims, believed to be a security guard at a nearby grocer in his 30s, was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with abdominal injuries. Nine news reports.

His condition is serious but stable.

The alleged knifeman then reportedly fled up a nearby escalator after the initial attack and slashed another man’s arm.

Police have cordoned off two crime scenes at the station and have arrested a man who is assisting with the investigation.
