Queen Camilla has told wellwishers that King Charles ‘is doing very well’, as the cancer-battling monarch met foreign representatives at Buckingham Palace.

She told members of the public in Northern Ireland this morning that the King, who has been receiving treatment for cancer, was ‘disappointed’ not to be able to join her there.

He was instead seen being driven away from Clarence House in central London before holding private audiences with diplomats at Buckingham Palace. He was later seen being driven away from the palace.

Charles has taken a step back from some royal duties, while the Princess of Wales is recovering after abdominal surgery at the London Clinic in January.

But yesterday he received veterans of the Korean War at Buckingham Palace as well as having a meeting with Home Secretary James Cleverly.

King Charles was spotted leaving Buckingham Palace, after earlier being seen exiting Clarence House

Today’s Palace visitors included Mbelwa Kairuki, High Commissioner for Tanzania, and Ng Teck Hean, High Commissioner for Singapore.

Both men officially presented their credentials to the King, signifying their first meetings with him since being appointed to their current roles.

The ‘business as usual’ approach shown by Charles comes after tumultuous weeks for the royal family, with both him and his daughter-in-law the Princess of Wales suffering health problems.

It emerged last night that three members of staff at the London Clinic have been suspended amid an investigation into allegations there were attempts to access Kate’s private medical data.

The alleged breach of Kate’s data took place at the clinic after the future Queen was admitted for planned abdominal surgery on January 16, with Kate being discharged 14 days later.

She has rarely been seen in public since then, leading to cruel conspiracy theories on social media about her wellbeing and health.

Data watchdog the Information Commissioner’s Officer confirmed it had ‘received a breach report’ and was in the process of ‘assessing the information provided’.

Meanwhile, insiders at the hospital, based in Marylebone, central London, said staff had been ‘left utterly shocked and distraught’ that a ‘trusted colleague’ could have carried out such a ‘breach of trust and ethics’.

The Princess is said to be aware of the allegations, while a spokesperson for Kensington Palace said: ‘This is a matter for the London Clinic.’

It is a criminal offence for staff in any NHS or private healthcare setting to access the medical records of a patient without the consent of the medical provider’s data controller.

The London Clinic could not confirm the exact date the alleged breach is said to have taken place but the revelation came a day after footage emerged of Kate out and about in Windsor over the weekend.

Footage today showed crowds of royal fans watching as the King was driven from Clarence House, having been unable to join his wife on a scheduled two-day trip to Northern Ireland.

Camilla has begun a series of engagements in Belfast – where she was today photobombed by smartly-dressed 23-month-old Fitz Corrie-Salmon.

The boy wearing a tuxedo and bow tie posed in front of the cameras as Camilla visited a shop and talked to staff at Knotts bakery in Belfast.

She grinned as she watched him and said: ‘We have a natural for the cameras.

‘There’s something so wonderful about this kind of place.’

Camilla also told how Charles was ‘doing very well’ and was ‘disappointed’ to miss out on the trip to Northern Ireland.

During a visit to The Arcadia deli, shop assistant Brenda Robb handed over a get well card for Charles and extended her best wishes.

Asked several times about the King’s wellbeing, she said: ‘He’s doing very well.’

Responding to quips about men ‘not being the best patients’, she joked: ‘I try to keep him in order.’

She added: ‘He’s very disappointed he can’t come.’

She was today meeting business owners and staff at shops on the bustling Lisburn Road in south Belfast on the second day of her stay in Northern Ireland.

And she was given armfuls of local produce for him to enjoy by well-wishers who were keen Charles didn’t entirely miss out.

Her Majesty is in Northern Ireland for a two-day trip, that had been due to be undertaken by the both of them.

After the King was compelled to stay at home, she decided to continue with elements of her own programme for the working trip.

Today, that began with a visit to Lisburn Road to see three family businesses: a butcher, a baker and a delicatessen.

Camilla, 76, was wearing a green wool crepe dress and coat with appliqué detail by one of her favourite designers, Bruce Oldfield, and also sported Queen Elizabeth’s turquoise and diamond three leaf clover brooch.

Her Majesty came away with bags full of local produce, promising she would take them home for her husband – after enjoying a snack herself.

At Coffey’s Butcher, which has been operating on the Lisburn Road since 1929, she met some of the three generations of the family who run it, remarking: ‘My gosh, there are a lot of you.’

Inspecting the meat counter, she said, ‘My goodness me, what a great selection’, and asked: ‘All of these are locally sourced? What do you sell the most of?

‘It’s wonderful, it’s all very tempting. It’s lovely to see you thriving.’

She was handed a large bunch of floweres and accepted a bag full of Northern Irish specialities including vegetable rolls, beef sausages and Belfast pickle.

Camilla said: ‘I shall take these back to my husband – he will really make the most of them.’

At the next shop Arcadia, a delicatessen that has been part of the Lisburn Road since 1933, she was also given a selection of their charcuterie, cheese, and local meats including Irish black butter.

Laura Graham-Brown, owner, said the Queen had been particularly interested in the social aspect of the shop, which is seen as a link to the local community..

Ms Graham-Brown said: ‘We had a discussion about the impact of local independent retail in the context of loneliness and social interaction.

‘We know our customers and their families and lives. She was very interested in that.’

In the third and final shop Knotts Bakery, the Queen was told about its traditional Ulster baking methods with no machinery involved in the family business which employs 120 people.

Camilla arrived in Northern Ireland yesterday evening, with a bugler from the Hillsborough Ford Guard playing to mark her arrival at Hillsborough Castle in Co Down, the royal residence in the region.

The Queen was last in Northern Ireland last May when she and the King undertook engagements on their first visit to the region following the coronation.

She is travelling alone this week after Charles stepped back from his public duties while receiving treatment for cancer.

The British Embassy in Moscow was today forced to issue an official statement confirming that King Charles III is still alive, after Russian media claimed he had died.

A host of Russian news sites and their associated social media accounts reported earlier today that the king had died at the age of 75 due to cancer complications, citing unnamed “media” sources in an unexplained flurry of messages.

It came after an image of a patently false statement from ‘Buckingham Palace’ reporting Charles’ ‘unexpected death’ was circulated on social media.

“King Charles III of Great Britain has died at the age of 75, according to media reports,” Russian news channel Sputnik reported.

‘There is no information about this on the royal family’s website or in the British media.’

Minutes later, their stories were updated after they were forced to climb down following reports that the king was indeed not dead.

The British Embassy in Moscow then furiously posted to X: ‘Reports of the death of King Charles III of Great Britain are fake!’

The British Embassy in Kiev followed shortly afterwards with a statement saying: ‘We would like to inform you that the news of the death of King Charles III is fake.’

Several prominent media outlets reported on the fake news, but it was not immediately clear whether they had made a mistake or whether Vladimir Putin’s propaganda machine was directly behind it.

The sick stunt involving the monarch followed criticism in Britain and other Western countries over Vladimir Putin’s “victory” in a “rigged” presidential election.

The British Embassy’s Telegram channel posted a message in Russian to emphasize that the reports were fake.

“Reports of the death of King Charles III of Great Britain are fake,” the announcement said, shortly after the British embassy in Ukraine issued a similar message.

The first media outlets to publish the false report were RIA, Sputnik, Readkovka and Mash – staunchly pro-Putin channels – but they all later corrected their stories.

Mashmedia wrote: ‘British King Charles III has died, Buckingham Palace reports. Elizabeth II’s son took the throne less than a year ago; the coronation took place on May 6, 2023. He was 75 years old.’

It was updated to say ‘the message turned out to be fake’ and added: ‘Let’s not forget that he was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.’

But the newspaper later stated: ‘The fake news about Charles III’s death spread quickly and was just as quickly debunked.

‘The King of Great Britain is alive and going about his business. At least that’s what Buckingham Palace says.

Even Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov’s spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, joined the fray, writing: “London looks pathetic.”

Independent outlet Meduza stated: ‘A number of media and Telegram outlets reported the death of British King Charles III – citing a false statement from Buckingham Palace.

“A screenshot of the statement, which became a news source, is provided in particular by the channel BAZA Telegram.

“This statement is not on the royal family’s website or social networks.”

Russian state news channel RIA Novosti corrected its earlier report and admitted it was based on “rumors,” stating: “The Buckingham Palace press service denied RIA Novosti rumors about the death of King Charles III.

“He continues to conduct official and private business.

“Information about Charles’ death appeared some time ago in many Russian sources. The basis for this was a certain message, the authorship of which was attributed to Buckingham Palace and which apparently turned out to be false.’

State news agency TASS reported that the story was fake.

The Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the Kremlin’s own newspaper published by Putin’s government, wrote: ‘King Charles III continues to conduct work and private affairs, Buckingham Palace said.

“Previously, many Telegram channels published unverified and false information about the monarch’s death.”

MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Five people were injured today after a car crashed into the walls of Windsor Castle, while emergency services treated someone on the ground.

The front of a Volvo crumpled into the outside of the royal residence in the rain on Thames Street after colliding head-on near the junction with River Street.

The vehicle’s airbags deployed during the incident at rush hour just before 8am this morning and two other cars were also involved. Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service later confirmed that five people received ‘immediate emergency care’.

Thames Valley Police officers closed the road in the center of the Berkshire town, while paramedics also attended and two local buses were forced to move.

It comes after a man was arrested by armed officers after crashing his vehicle into the gates of Buckingham Palace early on Saturday morning.

In Windsor this morning, a passerby said: ‘People there were already saying someone had driven off and driven straight into the wall of Windsor Castle.

‘There was at least one person in the car and I couldn’t tell if anyone else was there – suddenly there were people around (the vehicle) very quickly.

‘There was someone lying on the floor being treated, but there was a very calm atmosphere. People didn’t really know what was going on and some were worried it was something serious.”

A spokesperson for Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service told MailOnline: ‘At 7.49am on Tuesday, March 12, we received reports of a road traffic collision on Thames Street in Windsor.

‘Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service crews from Slough and Windsor fire stations were dispatched to the scene along with an officer.

“Upon arrival, crews discovered a collision involving two vehicles and two pedestrians. Firefighters made the scene safe and provided immediate emergency care to five people before placing them in the care of South Central Ambulance Service.

“Personnel were on scene for approximately one hour and sixteen minutes.”

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told MailOnline: ‘Thames Valley Police received a report of a road traffic collision in Thames Street, Windsor at 7.50am this morning.

And a spokesperson for Thames Valley Buses said: ‘Due to the closure of Thames Street, services 2 and 703 are unable to serve Windsor Parish Church towards Bracknell/Dedworth.

‘Please use Charles Street for the 2 service and York House for the 703. We apologize for any disruption.’

The crash comes three days after a motorist was arrested after crashing into the gates of Buckingham Palace.

Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang as the vehicle hit the gate before the driver was surrounded by officers who ordered him to kneel with his hands behind his head.

He was quickly arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.

Photos taken in the aftermath showed investigators analyzing the damaged blue hatchback with the hood crumpled, the trunk thrown open and the rear license plate hanging off.

King Charles held a video call with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Buckingham Palace amid his cancer treatment.

Charles sat in front of a computer screen at the palace today as he spoke to Mr. Trudeau.

Charles previously met with the Ambassador of Algeria, Nourredine Yazid, and Samba Mamadou, Ambassador of Mauritania.

It comes as Kate Middleton was announced to return to her royal duties during a practice Trooping the Color ceremony on June 8 by the military yesterday before appearing to make a U-turn today. Kensington Palace has not yet said whether she will attend or not.

Video footage shows the king smiling in the back of his Rolls-Royce as the crowd cheers him as he passes.

The 75-year-old, wearing a light blue patterned tie, appeared cheerful as he met the diplomats.

As he steps back from official visits, other members of the royal family have taken on additional duties.

Queen Camilla has been holding down the fort since King Charles’ cancer diagnosis in January.

She has completed 13 official assignments solo since her husband’s condition came to light, but is now expected to hand over the government to the Prince of Wales and Princess Anne while she takes a break.

The king was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer earlier this year after hospital treatment for an enlarged prostate, which was unrelated to him.

He was treated at the same hospital as the Princess of Wales, who underwent abdominal surgery for an unknown condition in January.

It comes as Royal fans face ticket chaos after rushing to buy seats to watch the Princess of Wales return to royal duties at a practice Trooping of the Color ceremony, after which the military has to make an awkward U-turn and can remove the reference to her. the events page.

The military today backtracked on claims that Kate Middleton would attend the June 8 parade, amid accusations that officials had “jumped the gun” by announcing her presence without consulting the palace.

The tickets sold out on the army website advertising Kate, 42, who reviewed a ‘practice parade’ for the first time in her role as honorary colonel of the Irish Guards on June 8.

The Princess of Wales has been out of action since undergoing abdominal surgery in January and is not expected to return to public duties until the other side of Easter.

The announcement appeared to indicate that Kate will be feeling well enough to attend the June 8 event, but broke protocol because traditionally only the palace can confirm the presence of a royal family.

Kensington Palace has not yet said she will attend, and MailOnline understands Palace officials were not consulted about the announcement. Neither party has released a statement on the debacle.

Ms Zelenska posted a video on social media of Camilla greeting her warmly with a kiss on both cheeks and saying: “Hello. How nice to see you.’

She wrote that she was “delighted to personally express my gratitude to Her Majesty Queen Camilla, and in her person to the entire @RoyalFamily and all the people of Great Britain for their support of (Ukraine) and our displaced people (internally displaced persons) .

‘Our values are common: life, freedom, democracy. Thank you for standing up for them together today.”

The meeting also focused on the family photographs on display, including portraits of the Queen Mother, the late Queen, a teenage Prince Harry, and an image of the King cradling a baby in his arms, believed to be one of his grandchildren.

The Queen and the First Lady previously met in November 2022 at a reception at Buckingham Palace to raise awareness about violence against women.

Ms Zelenska was a guest at the coronation of the King and Queen last May, representing her war-torn country alongside Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.

Last week, Camilla also led the royal family at a memorial service for King Constantine of Greece at St George’s Chapel, Windsor.

Meanwhile, the Prince of Wales was visiting Western Marble Arch Synagogue in London on Friday to meet with youth representing Jewish students and others helping to combat anti-Semitism.

The future king’s visit to the synagogue came after he called for an end to the war between Israel and Hamas and increased humanitarian support for Gaza during a visit to the British Red Cross headquarters in London last week.

William heard the personal testimony of the young people who spoke about how Jewish students across the country have been affected by the rise of hatred on the streets of Britain, which has created a ‘climate of fear’.

He told them, ‘Well, you heard it from me, anti-Semitism has no place in society, you heard it from me. Okay, I’ve said that before and I’ll say it again.

‘And now that I’m hearing everything… your experiences, both Catherine and I are extremely concerned about the rise of anti-Semitism that you spoke so eloquently about this morning, and I’m so sorry that you had to experience that, it has no place and it shouldn’t happen.

“So that’s why I’m here today to reassure you that people do care, people are listening and we can’t let that continue.”

Kate was due to join William for the synagogue visit planned to mark Holocaust Memorial Day, but she is recovering from abdominal surgery.

Mrs. Salt remembered the princess when she spoke to William: “I’m sure if your wife had been well, she would have been here. I miss her so much, give her my best wishes.”

William suggested that it was important that those who had lived through the Holocaust continued to talk to the next generation. Ms Salt replied: ‘Some young people don’t even believe it ever happened.’

But insiders suggest his role has changed because he did not enjoy the public attention he received after attending several high-profile events with Charles.

Instead, he will now help the monarch with his private affairs and “carry out his duties away from the public eye.”

MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.

Lieutenant Colonel Thompson has had a relationship with the Royal Family for several years. He has been part of the 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland since 2006 and was previously the late Queen.

The officer became the object of the affection of royal guards last year after taking center stage at historic royal events following the Queen’s death.

Queen Approxmilla has been in the spotlight for almost thirty years, and even more so since the succession to the throne of her husband, King Charles, in 2023.

After marrying King Charles in 2005, the Queen Consort is more than familiar with royal life within the walls of Buckingham Palace – but her own family's royal blood and connection to the historic landmark may come as a surprise to some.

Since the beginning of Queen Victoria's reign in 1837, Buckingham Palace has served as the official home of the monarch, and today it is the administrative headquarters of the king and several members of his family.

The building, which is currently undergoing essential maintenance work, has 775 rooms, including 19 state rooms, 52 royal bedrooms and guest rooms, 188 staff rooms, 92 offices and 78 bathrooms.

Although the palace has remained largely unchanged in recent years, there was one modification after Queen Victoria's wedding in 1840 that provides a special link between the history of the famous building and Queen Camilla.

The Queen Consort (L) married King Charles (R) in 2003 and is more than familiar with Buckingham Palace – but her own connection to the historic landmark may come as a surprise to some

Although remote, the first link to Buckingham Palace comes from Camilla's royal blood, which goes back three generations.

The Queen Consort's maternal great-great-grandfather, Lieutenant Colonel William Coutts Keppel, was born in 1832.

The leading military figure was the 7th Earl of Albermarle, and through Charles Lennox he was sixth in the direct line of Charles II, who ruled Scotland, England and Ireland in the late 17th century.

Camilla's mother, Rosalind Maud Cubitt, was also the great-granddaughter of Thomas Cubitt, who came from humble beginnings in Norfolk and was the son of a carpenter.

Cubitt, however, became an accomplished master builder, making his fortune in the late 18th century when he traveled to India and Australia as a carpenter.

After setting up his own construction company on Gray's Inn Road, London, Cubitt became responsible for iconic buildings such as the London Institute and Belgravia Square – and also personally built almost a mile of the Thames Embankment.

Camilla's royal connection to Buckingham Palace stems from perhaps Thomas Cubitt's most impressive achievement: his work on the monument itself.

Cubitt built the east facade of the palace in 1847, including the famous balcony where Camilla stood to commemorate her coronation as queen consort in 2023, and now stands to greet crowds on important occasions.
