CAMPBELL HATTON is back in action this weekend as he fights for his first professional title as a boxer.

Hatton, son of legendary British hero Ricky, has had fourteen fights so far, winning them all with varying degrees of success.

But now he’s taking his biggest step yet as he fights James Flint for a Central Area title.

Hatton, 23, has improved a lot since his first fight and will be hopeful that a win against Flint can lead him to further title fights in the next twelve months.

But Flint is fit and is making progress for their duel.

“It’s a great fight for both of us. If I beat him, a lot of doors will open and I can really push on,” he said.

“Same goes for him, if he beats me. I’m not a sore loser. I’ll shake his hand, and that could open bigger doors for him too. It’s one of those fights.”

Neve Campbell has announced her shock return to the Scream franchise after back-to-back exits from the film series due to her salary.

The 50-year-old actress, who played iconic final girl Sidney Prescott in five Scream films but bowed out for Scream VI, revealed her return for Scream 7 in an Instagram post detailing the script for the untitled next film.

Scream 7 will reunite Campbell with Kevin Williamson, who developed and wrote the screenplay for Scream (1996), along with those for Scream 2 (1997) and Scream 4 (2011). He will direct the new episode.

She wrote: ‘Hello everyone. I am so excited to announce this news!!! Sidney Prescott returns!!!! It has always been a blast and an honor to play Sidney in the Scream films.

“My appreciation for these films and what they have meant to me has never diminished. I am very happy and proud to say that I have been asked in the most respectful way to bring Sidney back to the screen, and I couldn’t be happier!!! Well actually I could.

“Although I have been so lucky to have been able to make these films with both the master of horror Wes Craven and the wonderfully talented team of Matt and Tyler, I have dreamed for years of how amazing it would be to make one of these films.” with Kevin Williamson at the helm.

Campbell played lead character Sidney Prescott for five films over twenty years, but announced in 2022 that she would not appear in the sixth installment.

She said the difficult decision was the result of failed salary negotiations, which she blamed for rampant “gender inequality” in the film business.

Campbell felt “undervalued” because she was starring in a horror franchise that grossed almost $1 billion.

But the Canadian star previously insisted that she'[doesn’t] wish these movies ill will” and revealed that she recently saw Scream 6 for the first time.

‘I wanted the movie to be good. It’s not like I’m sitting in my house thinking, ‘I hope it sucks, I hope it doesn’t go well,'” she told fans at Monster-Mania Con earlier this month.

She said she doesn’t know why it “took me a minute” to finally see it, but she was impressed.

Scream VI features a star-studded cast, including Wednesday star Jenna Ortega and The Babysitter’s Samara Weaving.

It also saw the return of franchise vets Courteney Cox, Skeet Ulrich and Hayden Panettiere.

It premiered in theaters on March 10, 2023, and earned $169 million at the worldwide box office on a production budget of a reported $24 million.

“I actually thought they did a really good job,” Campbell said. “I think the cast is really powerful, great actors.”

Regardless of whether she stars in the film or not, Campbell said she cares deeply about “all the people involved” and only takes issue with the studio executives who denied her salary request.

‘There is someone at the top who only thinks about money and that is their prerogative. But for the rest, for everyone else, I think it’s important that these films are good. And I think that’s important for you too, because I know you love these movies,” she concluded.

Last year, Campbell further explained her decision to leave the cult horror that made her famous.

Speak with PEOPLEthe Canadian actress doubled down on previous comments about walking away from her role as Sidney Prescott due to a salary dispute.

“I love this franchise. “I’m so grateful for it, but at the same time I really couldn’t bear the idea of ​​walking up there and feeling undervalued,” she explained.

She reiterated that this was solely due to the fact that she did not receive the amount of money she deserved for her contribution.

“I didn’t feel like what was being offered to me equaled the value that I have brought to this franchise for 25 years and that I have brought to this franchise.

“And as a woman in this industry, I think it’s really important for us to be valued and to fight to be valued.”

Campbell said she felt slighted because of gender inequality, saying: “I don’t believe that if I were a man and had done five installments of a huge blockbuster franchise in 25 years, the number I was offered would be the number given to a man would be offered.

“And deep down, I just couldn’t do that.”

The star announced in June 2022 that he would not return for the next blockbuster.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be doing the next Scream movie,” she revealed. “As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my value, especially when it comes to Scream.

“I felt that the offer presented to me did not match the value I brought to the franchise. It was a very difficult decision to move on.

The film’s most recent revival, released in January 2022, brought back original stars Courteney Cox and David Arquette and earned $140 million at the box office against a $24 million budget.

Scream IV saw newcomers Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega join the cast.

Prior to her official departure announcement, Campbell told Entertainment Tonight that she was unsure if she would return for the sixth film, saying, “I don’t know if I am,” adding that she “can’t get into it.”

Scream hit theaters in December 1996 and made a huge splash, raking in $173 million worldwide on a $14 million budget, according to Box Office Mojo.

The Wes Craven-directed film featured a cast including David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Rose McGowan, Drew Barrymore and Campbell, and spawned three sequels: 1997’s Scream 2, 2000’s Scream 3 and 2011’s Scream 4.

A troubled Sidney and her boyfriend Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich) went upstairs to get intimate, but shortly afterwards he was stabbed by Ghostface.

Sidney stumbles downstairs and after taking a gun belonging to police officer Dewey (David Arquette), she is left stunned when her friends Stu and Randy (Jamie Kennedy) accuse each other of being the killer.

She then finds Billy injured but alive. He then takes the gun and says “we all go a little crazy sometimes” and shoots Randy, revealing that he faked his injuries with corn syrup and that he and Stu are the killers.

They plan to kill Sidney and frame her father Neil for the killing spree, while also admitting that they killed her mother Maureen because she was having an affair with Billy’s father.

A bloody battle ensues in which Stu is stabbed by Billy and Billy is ultimately shot in the head by Sidney.

Naomi Campbell looked like she should be gracing the halls of The Traitors castle in the Scottish Highlands as she attended the BAFTAs on Sunday night.

The supermodel, 53, put on a stunning display on the red carpet at The Royal Festival Hall ahead of the annual awards ceremony honouring the best in film.

While Naomi is no stranger to making a style statement of her own, she appeared to have taken inspiration from someone in particular at the event.

The mother of two looked strikingly like The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman in her hooded cape with a heavy full fringe.

She wore her cape over a full length A-line dress, while she kept it glamorous with a full face of make-up, including a dramatic smokey-eye.

David Tennant will host this year’s ceremony live from Royal Festival Hall at London’s Southbank Centre, with an array of guest presenters on hand to deliver awards throughout the night.

Actress and singer Hannah Waddingham will treat guests to an exclusive live music performance, while Sophie Ellis-Bextor will perform her iconic hit Murder on the Dancefloor after it enjoyed a new lease of life in Emerald Fennell’s BAFTA nominated Saltburn. 

Elsewhere the Guyanese-born, London-based film curator June Givanni will receive an Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award.

Actress Samantha Morton’s lengthy career will also be rewarded with a BAFTA Fellowship, the arts charity’s highest accolade and handed out in recognition of outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.

Tennant, who is hosting the star-studded ceremony for the first time, recently admitted he was bewildered by the prospect of compering to so many people. 

He told Variety: ‘I don’t know what to expect, if I’m honest with you. The whole thing just feels like one of those experiences you say ‘yes’ to because it would be churlish not to. But what an amazing thing to be asked to do. What a privilege.’ 

The Scottish actor also insisted he will adopt a softer approach to the abrasive style used to great effect by Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes. 

‘I think the BAFTA mood is supportive and friendly,’ he added. ‘Ricky Gervais is brilliant at what he does, but that wouldn’t be my style.

‘I don’t think I’ve quite got that sort of approach, so I think you just have to kind of be who you are, really. But we’ve got some good material that won’t leave anyone feeling got at.’ 

Tennant revealed he was in complete shock when he received an email asking if he wanted to host the annual awards show. 

Speaking to the Radio Times, he said: ‘Right now, a month out, it feels like a bit of a thrill and a lark.

‘An extraordinary opportunity to do something very unusual and exciting. People keep asking me how nervous I am, how I’m preparing for it and so on, and that’s beginning to make me nervous.

‘Who knows why they’ve asked me! I just thought I’d say yes before they realised they’ve sent the email to the wrong person.’ 

BAFTA CEO Jane Millichip confirmed the academy was ‘over the moon’ that Tennant would be hosting the ceremony.

In 2022, Pitch Perfect and Bridesmaids actress Rebel Wilson made risqué jokes about the royal family, Russian president Vladimir Putin, the gender pay gap, flop film Cats – in which she starred – and her recent weight loss.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is a world-leading independent arts charity that draws attention to the best of film, games and television and supports the development of creative talent in the United Kingdom and the wide world. 

The organisation also celebrates excellence and nurtures fresh talent through year-round workshops, scholarships, masterclasses, mentoring schemes and lectures.

The nominees for the BAFTA EE Rising Star Award were announced on January 10, with the official longlist of nominations unveiled on January 18. 

This year’s ceremony is two hours long and will be broadcast from 7:00pm until 9:00pm on BBC One and will available to stream on BBC iPlayer.

Jesinta Campbell has shared a blistering post condemning Australia Day as a celebration of 'colonisation'.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 32, who is married to Indigenous Swans star Lance 'Buddy' Franklin, took to Instagram Stories on Thursday to reshare several posts from prominent anti-Australia Day campaigners.

The first message simply had the words 'Australia Day' crossed out, while the words 'Invasion Day' were in bold below.

It continued: 'The advent of one race at the expense of another. Can you learn the correct place names of the country you live in? Once you've done this, look at the events they're hosting on this date/throughout the year. Go to them. Surround yourself with the culture.”

Finally, Jesinta reposted an image with the caption: “Australia is the only country to mark colonization as a national holiday.”

Jestina's posts came hours after a 110-year-old Captain Cook statue was found in a Melbourne park severed at the ankles and falling from its stone base.

The bronze statue in St Kilda's Catani Gardens was cut from its stone base shortly before 3.30am on Thursday.

Vandals painted “the colony will fall” in red on the memorial base and had the statue cut off at the ankles, face down in the grass.

Australia Day, celebrated every year on January 26, marks the landing of the First Fleet in 1788 when the first Governor of the British colony of New South Wales, Arthur Philip, hoisted the Union Jack at Sydney Cove.

But for many First Nations people it is considered 'Invasion Day' or the 'Day of Mourning', with many campaigning to abolish the holiday entirely or change the date.

Jesinta has long been an outspoken critic of Australia Day.

In January 2022, she posted on Instagram that the holiday should not be a “holiday” but that it is “a date that marked the beginning of the genocide and massacres of indigenous people, the seizure of their ancestral lands and the banning of their culture.

The model, who represented her country at the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, added: 'There is no excuse for anyone in this country not to know why tomorrow, January 26, is a painful day to celebrate 'Australia Day' to celebrate'.

A year earlier, Jesinta had written a similar post on Instagram in which she labeled the national holiday a “day of mourning,” before going on to say, “There is no pride in genocide.”

In January 2022, Jesinta posted on Instagram that the holiday should not be a “public holiday”, and that it is “a date that marked the beginning of the genocide and massacres of the indigenous people, the seizure of their ancestral lands and the banning of their culture

She also published an emotional essay in Stellar magazine in January 2021, arguing that Australia Day should be moved to a date that 'doesn't hurt so much for so many people'.

“I've seen my husband's back when he talked about his mother and how she had to run away with her siblings when they knew the government trucks were coming to pick them up from their parents,” she wrote.

The brunette was referring to the Stolen Generation, where Aboriginal children were forcibly removed from their communities due to various government policies.

'Although I had read and learned about the horrors of Australia's past, it wasn't until I listened to the pain of someone close to me that I began to deeply understand the importance of changing the date.'

While Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has not explicitly mentioned plans to change the date, an increasing number of municipalities and state governments are choosing to cancel traditional Australia Day activities, including citizenship ceremonies.

In recent years, Invasion Day protests have overshadowed all festivities, with thousands attending rallies in major cities demanding the date be changed.

Major protests are expected this year after the referendum to enshrine the voice of indigenous people in parliament in the constitution was rejected in October.

Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, who was diagnosed with skin cancer just months after treatment for breast cancer, has revealed she is recovering at the star-studded resort.

A birthmark was removed from her body. Tests have shown that it is malignant melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer.

It comes after the 64-year-old underwent breast surgery for cancer last year, with insiders saying it has 'not been an easy time' for her.

In an effort to recover from her ordeal, the Duchess has chosen to enroll in the Mayrlife clinic, where Dr. Mayr's teachings are put into practice.

According to Women's Health, the programs and plans are based on “the traditional medicine of Dr. FX Mayr, combined with excellent medical expertise, advanced and a comprehensive range of therapies.'

The resort is located right on the shores of Lake Altaussee, surrounded by breathtaking mountain ranges, with rooms from £390 per night, excluding treatments.

Instead, guests can expect to spend a further £2,000 per week to indulge in a bespoke program or take on more specialist programs such as the Post-Covid program which costs £6,700 for a two week stay.

Detoxification is the core element of any program, with an emphasis on rest, strict cleansing of the digestive system, and retraining eating habits, such as learning to slow down and chew food up to 100 times to promote good digestion.

There have been a slew of celebrities who go to the clinic to give them peace of mind. Last summer, Suki Waterhouse posted on Instagram a photo of herself paddle boarding on Lake Altaussee.

The model, 31, documented her relaxing getaway: 'Every year I try to go with my best friend @poppyjamie to @mayrlife_official, the house with the most stunning nature I have ever seen, the most attentive people and the nurturing care you get can hope for. Thank you so much for having us back @mayrlife_official.”

Supermodels Karlie Kloss and Naomi Campbell are also known to be regulars.

As well as actress Rebel Wilson who wrote on social media in 2022: 'I am working according to the Mayr method to reset my system for the rest of the working year.'

The Pitch Perfect star, 44, paid around £4,000 a week for her health treatments, including anti-inflammatory meals and cryotherapy treatments.

The clinic, which is led by medical director Dr. Sepp Fegerl, is known for his strict – but incredibly effective – 'healing' that cleanses the body of toxins and promises to leave you toned, vibrant and full of energy within days.

Rebel's 35kg weight loss was previously attributed to strategies developed by Austrian physician Dr. Franz Xaver Mayr.

However, she distanced herself from the Mayr method in 2022, when she told her 11 million Instagram followers: “This was never my diet.”

No Campbell does not rule out a return to the US Scream universe.

While Campbell, 50, left the franchise in June 2022 due to a salary dispute, she said Variety on Saturday, January 13 that she would be open to a return “under the right circumstances.”

Campbell, who played Sidney Prescott in the first five Scream films, announced that she would not reprise her role prior to the sixth film, which debuted in March 2023.

“Unfortunately I won't be making the next one Scream video,” she said We weekly in a statement in June 2022. “As a woman, I have had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my worth, especially when it comes to Scream. I felt that the offer I was presented with did not match the value I brought to the franchise.”

Campbell added that it was a “very difficult decision to move forward” with the films and thanked her fans, who she said have been “so incredibly supportive.”

“I am forever grateful to you and for what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years,” she concluded.

On Saturday, Campbell told the outlet that she hoped the franchise would continue, saying, “I honestly have no idea what their plans are. I know there's been a lot going on around it and I'm sure they're spinning their wheels a little bit at the moment.”

She continued, “These films mean a lot to us and they mean a lot to the fans. I go to these conventions sometimes and I meet the fans and they love these movies. They love them. These movies mean a lot to them and these characters mean a lot to them. So even for them I would like to see it continue.”
