IPHONE owners are excited about a little-known Apple Pay trick that could save your day in an emergency.

The smart feature can help you in two specific ways.

First, you don’t need to unlock your account iPhone when using Apple Pay on certain public transport networks.

Apple has built something called Express Mode into iOS, which means you can use Apple Pay without Touch ID or Face ID in some situations.

It means you don’t have to struggle with unlocking your iPhone when using the London Underground or New York Underground, for example.

An Apple fan on Reddit wrote, “I’ve loved using Express Transit in San Francisco and New York. I go about twice a month.”

You can ensure that Express Mode is set to the correct card by going to your Apple Wallet settings.

DEAD GOOD!

But that is not everything.

Not only do you not need to unlock your iPhone, the battery may not even need to be charged.

“I recently accidentally discovered that it’s possible to still use your Transit card even if your phone breaks,” said one Reddit user in a thread about the feature.

“I was blown away, I already knew I could use it by essentially swiping the reader, but not this.”

Apple is more specific about how this actually works.

“You may even be able to use your card, pass, or key if your device needs to be charged,” Apple explains.

It continued: “With a compatible iPhone modelsthat you might be able to use current reserve with some cards, passes and keys that have Express Mode enabled for up to five hours when your iPhone needs to be charged.

“To see which cards, passes, and keys are available for use with power reserve, press the side or home button when your iPhone needs to charge.”

But there are two important things to note about this feature.

First, pressing the Side button or Home button can significantly reduce the power reserve on your iPhone.

Doing this enough may prevent the feature from working.

Secondly, if you manually turn off your iPhone, this feature will not work.

It is only available when your iPhone is visibly dead and put in backup mode.

Comic Relief fans raved about star-studded parody The Traitors: The Movie on Friday night.

The hilarious segment saw the series two finale retold, with runner-up Mollie Pierce playing herself, but winner Harry Clark was played by the devious Jonathan Bailey.

Also starring were Suranne Jones as Claudia Winkleman, David Walliams And Catherine Tate as contestants Paul Gorton and Evie Morrison.

Fans took to social media in droves to praise the skit, highlighting Suranne’s performance as Claudia.

They wrote: ‘Excellent comic relief…this is brilliant. Nice to see Mollie and Harry too!’

The real Harry, 23, a British army engineer, appeared briefly at the end of the short film.

The Traitors: The Movie was teased on Wednesday.

The first images showed them following a series of insidious transformations after undergoing makeovers to look like the stars of the hit BBC show.

Suranne, 45, was chosen as host Claudia and sported the fan favorite’s signature heavy bangs and eyeliner.

The film version of the celebrities was first unveiled on BBC’s The One Show on Monday night and viewers are encouraged to pour themselves a cup of fizzy rosé to watch the frivolity unfold.

It showed Jazatha Christie’s neglect, Ross’s infamous wink, Diane’s untimely murder, and the traitors turning on each other at the roundtable.

The Traitors: The Movie brought to life some of the most iconic moments from the series, featuring some of the nation’s favorite contestants.

The cast includes iDiane (Sally Phillips), Harry (Jonathan Bailey), Jaz (Asim Chaudhry), Miles (Kiell Smith-Bynoe), Paul (David Walliams) and Ross (Iain Stirling).

Speaking about the role, Suranne said: “I grew up with Comic Relief and every year I think I have to do something, so it’s an absolute thrill to be cast.

‘I’ve seen The Traitors and I love Claudia, so everything happens with love when I step into her shoes. Most importantly, we raise money for really important causes. So we have fun with it, but the most important thing will always be the causes.’

Meanwhile, Jonathan Bailey said: “Being invited to a Comic Relief evening of TV sketches is the proudest moment of my career so far.

‘Plus, The Traitors is my favorite TV series of all time – I’d be amazed if I met any of them.

‘I’m sure I’m the first in a long line of actors to play Harry in biopics. In fact, I would like to take this moment to publicly apologize to Harry for what I have done.”

Elsewhere, Sally Phillips said: ‘It’s always a laugh to be involved in Red Nose Day. It’s pretty hard to use your job for good, so this is the one time a year you can raise money while you work.

‘I watched most of The Traitors in one day and became obsessed. Actually, don’t tell me who won because I watched until Diane died and I’m going home today to watch the rest. It’s completely moving.”

Runner-up Mollie said: ‘Red Nose Day is a great cause and something I watched as a child.

‘When I read the script I thought it was so funny and great entertainment, it’s nice to make people smile and laugh after such an intense series. I don’t think I really had time to process being asked to be involved in the draft.

‘When I got the call, I was running around the house with my mother screaming. I feel very privileged and very happy.’

IPHONE users have praised a trick that can make watching videos so much better.

The Apple fans took to Reddit to comment on a post sharing the trick.

It’s on a popular Reddit thread called r/iphone.

The thread is described as a place for iPhone enthusiasts and often features tips and tricks and discussion of other Apple topics.

It currently has approximately four million members.

“What’s your most useful iPhone SHORTCUT ever tried?” wrote an iPhone user who started the thread.

“I think I underestimate this app. But sometimes I struggle to create real shortcuts that are useful in everyday life.

“Do you have any specific use cases that you find useful?” they asked.

The user refers to Shortcuts, an app that can be found on every iPhone.

“The app lets you combine multiple steps across multiple apps to create powerful task automation.

“Shortcuts can automate a wide variety of things, like getting directions to the next appointment on your calendar, moving text from one app to another, generating expense reports, and more.

“Based on how you use your Apple devices – your app usage and your browser, email and message history – Siri suggests simple, useful shortcuts that you can quickly tap to execute.

“Once you create a shortcut, you can activate Siri and then speak the shortcut’s name to run it,” Apple explains his website.

Many iPhone users revealed how they had used the Shortcuts app in the comments of the Reddit post.

“Use it to automatically disable the rotation lock when opening apps that play full-screen video in portrait orientation,” one person wrote.

This was the most popular comment and was supported by 35 votes from other users.

“Does this automation include enabling the rotation lock when closing the app again? That would be BLOODY brilliant,” someone replied.

“Yes, that’s possible. If you go to automations and create a separate rule for when it opens and when it closes.

“I set it up for the photo app. Let me know if you need any help,” the tipper replied.

“I’ve never had any issues with the screen rotating when I wasn’t supposed to so it’s interesting to see what kind of issues other people face as everyone uses their phones a little differently than each other lol,” replied another person.

SONY is rolling out a massive free upgrade to millions of PlayStation owners.

This week’s new PS5 system update brings some big changes, including a surprise boost to DualSense controllers.

The update was announced back in February, but Sony has now started rolling it out to PS5 consoles around the world.

There are three major changes that PlayStation gamers should take note of.

DUALSENSE UPGRADE

Some of the biggest changes are coming to the DualSense and DualSense edge controllers.

For starters, the speakers in the controllers can now reach higher volumes.

Sony says this will allow you to “hear in-game sounds and voice chat audio more clearly.”

If you’re not happy with the sound volume coming out of the controller, you can adjust it in the settings.

Noise cancellation on the DualSense controller’s microphone has also been upgraded.

“Microphone input quality on these controllers has been improved thanks to a new AI machine learning model,” Sony said.

“Background noise from button presses and game audio is suppressed, resulting in a better voice chat experience.

“Install the beta version of the system software and update the controller device software to enjoy improved clarity of your voice chat audio when using the controller microphone.”

SHARE SCREEN

The existing Screen Share feature has been upgraded.

Sony says players viewing Share Screen in full screen will be able to use pointers and emoji reactions to interact with gameplay.

This feature is enabled by default, but Screen Share hosts can disable it in the settings.

To see the feature, you’ll need to join the PlayStation beta.

PS5 POWER

It is now possible to adjust the brightness of the PS5 console’s power indicator.

You can change this at any time by going to your settings.

Just go to Settings > System > Beep & Light > Brightness.

This can be a big advantage if you have trouble with the brightness of the light in a dark room.

FAN FAVORITES

PlayStation fans took to Reddit to reveal their thoughts on the new changes.

One gamer wrote: “Ahhh, I love that we can finally turn down the brightness of the power indicator.

“It was a bit annoying while watching movies in the dark.”

Another said: “It’s much better! At least in mine opinion.”

And someone added: “Definitely an improvement. You can choose between low/medium/high (high is default and the light level it was before the patch).

“Low/medium are definitely nicer in a dim/dark room.”

But fans were disappointed that a feature is still missing.

One disappointed gamer said: “Still no way to share screen on Discord? :(“

Another said this would be “the dream”, while one added: “This was the main feature I was hoping for when they announced they were adding Discord. It’s been a while, we need this.”

INSTAGRAM has added a secret game to your private messages – and only an emoji can unlock it.

Fans of the app are excited about the new feature, which appears to have been quietly added in a recent update.

On Instagram, you can now play a special game where you hold up an emoji by bouncing it against a paddle at the bottom of the screen, as discovered by The US Sun’s Patricia Rogers.

It’s a bit like a vertical solo game of Pong or Breakout for arcades – and you earn points for successful bounces on the paddle.

The emoji moves faster as you progress through the game, making it harder to stay in the air.

Send an emoji in a DM on Instagram to find the game.

Then simply tap the emoji and you will be transported to the hidden game.

A small number of Instagram fans enjoyed the discovery in a Reddit thread posted two days ago.

One user wrote: “It’s happened to me now too. I guess it’s an update.”

Another said: “It just happened to me!! So cool!”

TIP TIP

Users boasted about their high scores, with one Instagram fan claiming they had reached an impressive 58.

But some users complained that they could not see the game.

“It’s not working for me,” moaned one frustrated user, while another said: “It worked yesterday too, but today when I wanted to show it to one of my friends, it stopped working.”

It’s unclear how widely the game has been rolled out, but The US Sun has gotten the game working on several devices.

If you don’t have access to it, it’s worth checking to see if there are any updates available for Instagram in the Apple App Store for iOS at iPhoneand the Google Play Store on Android.

If it still doesn’t work for you, unfortunately it’s unclear how exactly you can unlock it.

There are some other hidden app games that you should check out.

If you have the official Google app, go to the tabs panel and quickly swipe up on the screen.

This will bring up a hidden pinball game that you would otherwise very easily miss.

If you have Google Chrome, turn off your Wi-Fi and mobile internet and then try to load a website.

You will get an error page with a small dinosaur icon.

Tap the dinosaur and you will play an infinite runner game.

You have to clear obstacles by tapping the screen, and you earn a higher score the longer you can run.

Henry Slade married his glamorous partner Megan in 2022 and the pair have two children. 

Their eldest daughter was born two years before their wedding, while they welcomed their second child, Orli Frances Slade, last autumn.

The fast fashion retailer's new 'scrunch' sets are designed for the gym, but comfortable enough to work out as loungewear.

The sets are part of Primark's L2L Workout range and consist of a sports bra and high-waisted shorts.

They cost £9 each and are available in green, grey, black and white.

The size range is from XS to XL, with XS designed for sizes 4 to 6 and the Small for sizes 8 to 10.

The Medium sets are for sizes 12 to 14, the Large sets for sizes 16 to 18 and XL are for sizes 20 to 22.

Body positivity content creator Liv Louise took to TikTok to showcase the sets, saying they are brand new to the Primark track.

“I see new scrunch sets at Primark,” she wrote.

“They know what they are doing.

“They knew we would love it.”

According to Liv, you can find the 'scrunch' sets alongside the viral seamless sets.

Scrunch or ruffle leggings and shorts are designed to strengthen your glutes, giving you the illusion of a “bubble butt.”

GymShark's designers, who produce a wide range, called them an 'industry game changer' when they started producing the design more than three years ago.

Fashion fans flocked to the comments on Liv's video to give their thoughts on the new sets Primark is offering.

Numerous women commented that they “have to find them” at their local store, while others called them “stunning.”
