At first glance, you might not think that the British Queen of WAGs and the Duchess of Edinburgh have much in common.

Coleen Rooney is married to football star and series chef Wayne, while Sophie is the wife of the late Queen Elizabeth’s youngest son.

Their lives may be apart, but when it comes to their clothes, they can be fashion twins.

Here we look at the many times the football princess and the popular Duchess have shown almost identical taste in outfits.

Barbie girls

Coleen celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) earlier this month by taking part in Q&A sessions in which she discussed her famous ‘Wagatha Christie’ fight with rival WAG, Rebekah Vardy (wife of Leicester City and England star Jamie).

Coleen was dressed in a striking pink trouser suit for the event, with sparkling silver accessories.

Did Coleen and Becky use IWD to call a truce and resolve their differences?

Do not be crazy.

Sophie looked as fresh as a daisy as she attended the 2022 Chelsea Flower Show, dressed in chic pink linen.

It was a shade chosen to complement the pink coat the late Queen Elizabeth wore that day.

Trendy stripes

Deep down, Coleen is a Chanel and Versace girl, but that didn’t stop her from designing a bargain collection for Littlewoods in 2014, where the clothing line included this sleeveless dress that she modeled at a photocall in London.

In June 2018, Sophie, then Countess of Wessex, wore a jazzy asymmetrical striped dress to a public engagement in Stafford.

If only she had known that a shrunken, bargain version had been available at Littlewoods four years earlier!

Little black strapless dresses

Some might say Coleen deserves a Pride of Britain award for sticking with Wayne.

In 2005, just a few months after her then-fiancé admitted to visiting a brothel, Coleen attended the annual event in London in a strapless cocktail dress.

With Wayne on the naughty step she took her mother Colette as her date.

In 1999, three months before her wedding to Prince Edward, Sophie Rhys Jones attended a spring ball at the Dorchester Hotel.

She dressed in a strapless, black velvet dress that looked like it could have come straight from Coleen’s walk-in wardrobe – all she needed was a holiday tan from the WAG.

Daring in leather

Just two days after her dramatic revelation on Twitter, when she publicly accused rival WAG Rebekah Vardy of selling stories about her, Coleen went to town.

In October 2019, she attended former Manchester United player Wes Brown’s 40th birthday party wearing a black leather one-shoulder mini dress and danced her troubles away at a nightclub in Manchester.

Three years later, in November 2022, Sophie, who many think has found her fashion feet in recent years, wore a beautiful leather midi dress from Italian brand Loewe when she visited a center for disabled children.

One session with the scissors is enough to turn the midi into a mini like Coleen’s, should she be so inclined.

Neutral suits

Rebekah Vardy sued Coleen for defamation following her accusations of Wagatha Christie, but subsequently lost the case.

Coleen certainly looked like a winner in the ‘recognizable’ taupe Zara suit she wore to court in May 2022. She paired the outfit with a less recognizable £4,000 Chanel handbag.

Sophie looked equally recognizable and elegant in 1999, the day after her engagement was announced. As a working PR girl, she went straight back to the office, in a smart suit with a (non-Chanel) brown leather tote bag.

Fresh flowers

Scouser Coleen rarely misses the Grand National.

In 2012, she wore a floral print silk maxi dress for the big day, along with six-inch Louboutins. Her horse didn’t come in, but it’s certain she enjoyed a few glasses of bubbly in her private stall.

Sophie, recently named Duchess of Edinburgh, showed off her love for flowy floral dresses last summer.

She chose a £1,150 tea dress from Suzannah London to wear at Westminster Abbey to mark a service marking the 75th anniversary of the National Health Service.

Sleek and white

Coleen turned the Wagatha Christie scandal into a triumph when she launched her own documentary series for Disney+.

The WAG looked regal in white and tan (when isn’t she?) as she wore a strapless bodice with matching skirt for a screening of Coleen Rooney: The real Wagatha story.

When Sophie attended a charity event in West Palm Beach in 2006, she wore a daring white dress with a Bardot neckline.

Like Coleen’s, Sophie’s dress was flattering, form-fitting and just the right side of sexy.

Looks good in lace

Wayne and eldest son Kai accompanied Coleen to Wimbledon in 2022, when she wore a summery white lace dress.

While her dress looked bright and fresh, her face looked bored and disinterested. Well, it’s not Aintree, is it?

Sophie took a seat in the royal family’s box and was effortlessly cool and chic in a white lace dress from Zara.

Cheerful jumpsuits

Not only a lady who likes to shop and go on holiday, Coleen is also a lady who likes to have lunch.

She proved that last Christmas when she attended a lunch event hosted by her regular party planner, Julie Perry, at Harvey Nichols in Manchester.

Coleen wore a black jumpsuit with diamond detailing and looked simply sizzling.

Like Coleen, Sophie knows that a black jumpsuit can look just as glamorous and stylish as a dress, as she showed when arriving at an NSPCC fundraising dinner in 2018.

And what is this? She even has some Coleen-esque tan lines!

Britain’s ‘most realistic’ Kate Middleton lookalike had revealed that ‘it wasn’t me’ pictured in a farm shop belonging to the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Professional Kate Middleton lookalike Heidi Agan, who has earned a living impersonating the royal for more than a decade, said she was not seen in a video of the Prince and Princess of Wales at Windsor on Saturday.

Heidi said on ITV’s This Morning: ‘I wasn’t there. It definitely wasn’t me and I think it was 100 percent Kate and William in the video.”

Heidi thinks it’s time for the public to leave Kate alone. She adds, “I think she’s doing well. She will be back after Easter, as Kensington Palace says, but until then she must recover and heal.’

The 43-year-old, who heads a dancing and acting school, admitted that her work as a lookalike usually dies when Kate is ill – although the current situation has led to the opposite reaction.

The video recorded on Saturday shows Kate carrying a shopping bag and walking quickly out of a farm shop with her husband – the first images of the future queen since her abdominal surgery in January.

The images published by The sun shows Kate walking quickly with a bag of groceries and talking animatedly with her husband on Saturday afternoon.

Heidi said that when the video hit the headlines yesterday, she was enjoying a cup of tea and coffee with her partner when her social media went ‘crazy’.

She added: ‘My partner and I woke up yesterday morning with tea and coffee and we couldn’t quite believe how angry my social media had become.

‘I didn’t know anything about it, but overnight it just went a bit crazy – it was a strange 24 hours.’

Heidi added that the video couldn’t possibly be hers as she was working at her other job at her dance school on Saturday.

‘I work here at the main office, so I was here on Saturday. There’s no way I could have been 80 miles away in Windsor.

‘There’s a lot going on here on Saturday, lots of witnesses!

Heidi added: ‘If the royal family is busy, that spills over into our lives too.

‘When she appears in the press, there is a lot of interest in my work. Normally the work dries up out of respect when she is sick, but this time it has gone the other way, which is really unusual.’

Heidi previously revealed how she chases Zara and TK Max to keep up with Kate’s expensive wardrobe, and can’t go out without being asked for a selfie.

The royal impersonator has been working professionally as a Kate lookalike at parties, meet & greets and other performances since 2012.

She now believes conspiracy theories about the princess’ health have gone too far, adding: “If the surgery is something she wanted to keep private, then [Kensington Palace] are right not to share more details.”

The film was a balm for millions of people in Britain and around the world, but crazy conspiracy theories are still swirling about Kate, despite The Sun’s video proving she is doing well.

The shopper who filmed the couple also claims it wasn’t Kate in the HD footage.

Former England cricket star Kevin Pietersen, 43, also slammed the ‘absolutely absurd’ and ‘bulls**t’ conspiracy theories about Kate and admitted he sees the Prince and Princess of Wales ‘most days’.

KP said: ‘The conspiracy theories surrounding Kate are absolutely absurd. We see W&K [William and Kate] most days and also in the last few days!

“I can’t believe people would be so ridiculous and cruel if they wrote BULLS**T on this platform, which is outright lies.

‘W&K are the most wonderful parents and as normal/humble as can be.

‘Let K who is recovering from surgery recover. Leave her and her beautiful family alone.”

Kevin Pietersen has previously tweeted about teaching cricket at Lambrook School, where William and Kate send their children.

It was previously reported that KP’s son Dylan, said to be a star cricketer in the making, is also heading to Lambrook.

The Prince and Princess of Wales clearly felt “at ease” being seen in public, otherwise they wouldn’t have gone out to buy bread together at their local shop, according to Jack Royston, chief royal correspondent for Newsweek.

He said, ‘They were not born yesterday. They do understand that they are at the center of a huge international news story. They must have felt comfortable with the risk of being photographed.

‘It’s so clearly Kate in the images. She is recovering from surgery and has no makeup on. She could take a DNA test and people wouldn’t believe it was her.

‘It has been very hard for a woman who has so much attention on her. She’s under so much pressure to look perfect, but she can’t be expected to look perfect all the time. It’s impossible and not fair.’

A source close to William made it clear yesterday that he was determined to ignore the speculation surrounding Kate, telling MailOnline: ‘His focus today is Homewards.’

MailOnline understands that the couple have become aware of much of what is being said and are deeply saddened and saddened by the often vile speculation.

With her outfits vanishing from the high street the moment she appears in public, it is clear the Princess of Wales has an army of ‘Copy-Kates’.

But some are starting to ask if the royal trend-setter has her own secret source of inspiration – in the shape of Hollywood royalty.

It was in 2011 that Kate turned all red-carpet with an eye-catching asymmetric silver gown from Jenny Packham, a style spotted on Angelina Jolie earlier that same year.

Since then, Kate has been something of a ‘style sister’ on numerous occasions –  or even a mirror image.

Not that Kate – who turns 42 on Tuesday – is alone in this.  Meghan, Duchess of Sussex has also chosen outfits which seem to have an Angelina touch.

With so much royal imitation, who wouldn’t feel flattered?

Winter Whites

Kate Middleton dazzled in a sleek white ensemble at her annual Together at Christmas carol concert last month

 She was wrapped up in a bespoke white coat by Savile Row tailor Chris Kerr layered over a Kiltane cashmere crew neck sweater and Holland Cooper high waisted trousers. 

Blink and you may have been mistaken that it was Angelina Jolie in the head-to-toe white she wore in 2017 for an evening out in New York. 

Angelina’s plunging trench coat was by Elisabetta Franchi and accessorised with Christian Louboutin pumps very similar to Kate’s Gianvito Rossi heels.

One-Shoulder Wonders

It was a style snap when Kate and Angelina both chose the same Jenny Packham one shoulder gown just a few months apart. 

The Princess of Wales wowed Hollywood style in a silver asymmetric frock at a charity evening in November 2011, pairing it with Jimmy Choo heels.

There were double-takes all round as a version of the silk showstopper had been seen a few months earlier when Hollywood actress Angelina wore the red version with a silk tie waist to a film premiere in Los Angeles. 

Black Velvet Evening Gowns

The red carpet is often awash with shimmering sparkles and vibrant shades, but style sisters Kate and Angelina both made a statement in luxe black velvet gowns.

In 2011 The Princess of Wales attended the Military Awards in a mermaid skirt strapless Alexander McQueen design, followed by Jolie in 2018 who also chose the same off-the-shoulder silhouette with sweeping train, in a black velvet frock by British couturiers Ralph and Russo. 

Both looks were accessorised with dazzling diamonds, Kate’s by Mouawad and Angelina’s by Graff.

Cool in Camel

Kate has recently added tailoring to her workwear uniform, a style which has been present in Angelina’s wardrobe for a number of years.

In August 2023 Jolie stepped out in New York in a chic camel suit with wide leg trousers and a Celine leather tote.

The look was echoed by Kate just a month later in London when she wore a Roland Mouret trouser suit which was strikingly similar. 

From the flared trousers to neat camisole tops and bouncy brunette locks, the pair were a mirror image.

Golden Goddesses

The style icons both dazzled for film openings in golden embellished gowns with sweeping cape sleeves. 

For Jolie it was a bespoke Ralph and Russo jewel encrusted masterpiece for the launch of Maleficent in 2019, while the Princess of Wales dressed for James Bond in 2021 in an equally plunging Jenny Packham gown which gathered at the torso and featured the same structured shoulders before cascading into a glittering train of tulle. 

They shared the same memo when it came to the hair and jewels, both choosing statement earrings and elegant updos.

Daytime Formal

Both in shades of dove grey, Kate and Angelina stunned in formal ensembles with cowl necklines which skimmed their silhouettes and nipped in at the waist. 

First was Kate in Roksanda Ilincic during a reception at the Royal Academy of Arts in 2012, followed by Angelina in Ralph and Russo for a royal ceremony in 2018. 

Looking elegant as ever, the finishing touch for the pair was a neat, swept back chignon.

Cape Sleeves

Dramatic caped sleeves stole the spotlight for the brunette beauties when they chose evening gowns with the same structured shoulders and long sleeves with splits.

Elegant and understated for the launch of Eternal in 2021, Angelina chose a black Ralph Lauren one shoulder design, while Kate turned to Safiyaa for her teal gown with two cape sleeves at the Royal Variety Performance in 2023. 

Bouncy waves complemented the dramatic sleeves and simple silhouettes for the style sisters.

Crossover Evening Gowns

Once again Angelina and Kate shared the same style DNA on the red carpet, this time in Jenny Packham silvery grey cross-over gowns.

Kate went first in the 2015 Spectre premiere in a chiffon version of the draped-front dress while Angelina chose a silk material for her dress at the Hollywood Film Awards in 2017.

Modest Dressing

Covered up couture linked Jolie and Middleton when they both dressed glamorously in high neck gowns with blouson sleeves in nude tones of tan and blush pink. 

Modestly styled in an Elie Saab embroidered couture design for Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al-Saif’s Wedding in 2023, Kate accessorised the look with Prada heels and a Wilbur and Gussie clutch. 

Angelina also chose to wear a Lebanese designer for the Variety’s Power of Women gala in 2021, this time Harithand, although the gown had a similar covered-up design and was also styled with the same sleek waved hair as Kate.

Cape Dresses

When the Queen and Meghan embarked on their first solo engagement less than a month after she married Prince Harry, the Duchess of Sussex stepped off the train in a cream bespoke Givenchy creation which featured a neat cape over her shoulders.  

A few years earlier, Angelina had worn an almost identical white gown by Ralph and Russo to the premiere of Unbroken in 2014 with the same cape detail across the shoulders, as well as a similar hem length.

Tailored Suiting

Meghan and Angelina mirrored each other in slick black tuxedo suits layered over silk camisoles. 

Markle first chose the tailoring in 2018 at the Wellchild awards when she wore an Altuzarra wide leg two piece and black blouse from Swedish brand Deitas. Anglina chose chose a Saint Laurent version of the chic suit last year.

Black Wrap Coats

In January 2018 Meghan made her first official visit to Wales in head to toe black, wearing a Stella McCartney tie waist coat. 

That same year, Angelina was seen at the British Film Institute wrapped up in a similar coat by Ralph and Russo layered over a cream dress by the same designers. 

A neat belted waistband added structure to the look in both cases.

Sheer Delights

Showing that a black dress can make an impact on the red carpet, Jolie and Markle both made a statement in monochrome gowns with a sheer panel across the decolletage. 

First came Angelina at the 2018 Golden Globes, when her Versace gown with feather detail and chiffon sleeves had just the right level of drama and glamour.

Meghan seemed to echo the look at the Lion King premiere in 2019 when she chose a Jason Wu frock with a demure see-through panel and sleeves.

Elizabeth Debicki will reprise her role as Princess Diana in series six of Netflix’s The Crown, which is released this week.

And the Australian actress, 33, channeled the princess’s famous revenge dress as she joined her fellow castmates at the LA premiere on Sunday.

Elizabeth selected a little black dress from Bottega Veneta for the glamorous event at the Westwood Regency Village Theater.

The sleek off-shoulder design comes from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection and featured a structured bodice and midi length, highlighting the actress’s statuesque frame.

Elizabeth added sheer black tights and pumps, echoing Princess Diana’s ensemble from her 1994 dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens.

Diana’s dress, designed by Christina Stambolian, is perhaps one of her greatest sartorial legacies.

The late royal presented the LBD when Prince Charles appeared on television and confessed to infidelity after their marriage was ‘irretrievably broken’ – and it was subsequently called The Revenge Dress.

Elizabeth also wears her version of Diana’s dress during season five of The Crown.

The actress’s Bottega Veneta midi echoes the princess’s style with her similar neckline and silhouette.

Although Diana was adorned with a statement sapphire and pearl choker – gifted by the Queen Mother on her wedding day – Elizabeth’s aesthetic was jewelry-free.

And this isn’t the first time the actress and her stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, have created red carpet looks inspired by Diana’s wardrobe.

At last year’s premiere, Elizabeth wore a Dior dress reminiscent of the one Diana wore to the 1987 Cannes Film Festival.

Princess Diana debuted The Revenge Dress at a fundraising dinner hosted by Vanity Fair for the Serpentine Gallery on June 29, 1994.

She had initially declined the invitation, but later changed her mind following the revelations of Charles’ infidelity.

Diana had owned the custom-made silk dress, which cost £900, for three years before wearing it, fearing it was ‘too daring’.

However, as it was leaked that Diana would be wearing Valentino to the event, she instead opted for Greek designer Christina Stambolian’s daring off-the-shoulder dress.

Referring to Swan Lake – one of Princess Diana’s favorite plays – Ms Stambolian explained: ‘She chose not to play the scene like Odette, innocent in white. She was clearly angry. She played it as Odile in black. She was wearing bright red nail polish, which we had never seen her do before. She said, ‘Let’s be bad tonight.’

Meanwhile, Anna Harvey, Diana’s former stylist, said: ‘She wanted to look like a million bucks. And she did.” The stylist also wrote in Vogue that it made the princess “excited” to make an impression.

The famous dress was sold at auction for £39,098 in July 1997 to a Scottish couple who planned to use the dress to raise money for children’s charities.

It was exhibited at the Museum of Style in Newbridge, County Kildare, during the 2017 Diana: A Fashion Legacy exhibition, where it was described as ‘the most important exhibition’.

Violet, the 17-year-old daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, left fans stunned after a recent photo of her made the teen look like her famous mother’s twin brother.

The Argo executive, 50, was joined by Violet and his current wife Jennifer Lopez, 53, at billionaire CEO Michael Rubin’s Fourth of July party over the weekend, where they posed for a number of snaps.

In one particular photo, he’s in the center with Violet to his right and Lopez to his left, encouraging a commenter to write, “You could have told me it’s Jennifer Garner and I would have believed you.” Wow.’

“Ben Affleck’s daughter is LITERALLY her mom’s twin,” another fan marveled.

“For a moment I thought this was an awkward picture between wife and ex-wife,” chimed in another, noting the incredible resemblance.

“I thought it was Jennifer omg,” someone else added.

The baffled comments kept pouring in, while someone else wrote, “His genes didn’t even try.”

“Now I wish you would just lie and say it was her lmfaooooo. That would have been hilarious,” another Twitter user wrote.

‘Tell me why I was looking for the boy in this picture? LOL!’

Fans also pointed out the mother-daughter duo’s dimples, with one writing, “You know you haven’t done any work when your kids’ dimple is in the exact same spot as your husband’s like wow you guys really got me out passed the equation.’

Affleck and his ex-wife, 51, share custody of Violet, their youngest daughter Seraphina, 14, and son Samuel, 11.

The Batman star was married to the 13 Going on 30 actress from 2005 to 2018.

Meanwhile, Lopez and Affleck originally got engaged in 2003, but their relationship ended in January 2004, before rekindling their romance in 2021, after 17 years apart.

The couple married in a Las Vegas wedding chapel last year before holding a lavish ceremony at Ben’s Georgia estate in August.

Affleck, his daughter and Lopez were joined by a bevy of other A-listers at the Fourth of July celebration, which took place in the Hamptons neighborhood of New York’s Long Island.

All three adhered to the all-white dress code, with Violet and J.Lo both wearing flowing dresses.

Garner didn’t attend the Hamptons bash, though the mother and daughter duo are often seen together.

The Daredevil star relented People in 2019 that she refused to let Violet join Instagram, fearing for her mental health.

“If you can show me studies that show teen girls are happier when they use Instagram, we can have the conversation,” Jennifer said.

Violet still doesn’t have a public Instagram page even after attending the epic white party with her father and stepmother.

While the teen is almost the spitting image of her mother, she also seems to be on good terms with her singing stepmother.

The Jenny From The Block singer was spotted hugging her new stepdaughter a few weeks after she tied the knot with the Batman VS Superman star in July 2022.

However, the Hustlers star also respects her stepdaughter’s privacy by not posting pictures of her on her own Instagram page which has millions of followers.

Aside from being a stepmom to Violet, the Marry Me star continues to raise her 15-year-old twins Maximilian ‘Max’ David Muniz and Emme Maribel Muniz.

She shares custody of Max and Emme with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony.

The business magnate reiterated Garner’s concerns about fame affecting her children during an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.
