A mother accidentally broadcast herself naked in the shower at a funeral while other mourners watched the service via a Zoom livestream.

The service was for a popular father of three after he died following a courageous battle with cancer.

A live stream was organized so that people who could not attend the service in Barnet, North London, could watch from home.

The 48-year-old businesswoman and personal trainer had opened a Zoom link but didn’t realize her camera was on.

When the stream went live, the mother-of-two’s full shower regimen was shown to other stunned mourners watching at home, although thankfully none of those in the church could see her screen.

Footage of the humiliating moment has since gone viral after being heavily shared on WhatsApp.

One mourner wrote at the funeral: ‘There was a bird in the shower.

‘She jumped up at the wake… ten minutes later she was crying her eyes out.’

The mourner also said the woman “showed up at the wake with no idea what had happened.”

Adding: ‘People could zoom in and appear on the live screen.

‘A bird logged in and didn’t realize her camera was on and she was in the shower. Live for the funeral.”

The moment was also picked up by Australian radio hosts Kyle and Jackie O.

Disturbing footage has captured the moment an Ohio mother calmly lied to police about finding her infant daughter dead in her crib – after secretly leaving the child behind to go on a tropical holiday.

Kristel Candelario, 32, was confronted after her 16-month-old daughter Jailyn was found starving in her own filth after being stranded for 10 days.

The mother, sentenced this week to life in prison, was seen on police bodycam footage in which officers said her daughter had been vomiting throughout the week of June 2023.

Candelario was actually frolicking on a Puerto Rican beach.

In the shocking clip, she coldly told officers: “She had no food, she refused.”

While her daughter was starving, Candelario shared vacation photos of her smiling on a beach, with the caption, “The time enjoyed is the time truly lived.”

Although she later pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and child endangerment, the new bodycam footage shows that she initially lied to police when they questioned her about her daughter’s sudden death.

While she claimed the toddler was “refusing food” before she died, an officer asks her, “And how was she Wednesday and Thursday?”

“She refused, perhaps because she hadn’t eaten two days earlier,” she replied, before shrugging her shoulders to feign confusion in the chilling clip.

“But that’s why I was scared, because I’m like, oh my God, we have to go to the hospital because she’s not eating anything.”

Candelario, who did not appear angry or emotional about her daughter’s death, said the child looked “small” and was “losing weight,” and continued to make up a story about being home all the time.

“When I woke up this morning, she was asleep,” she said. “She sleeps every day, twelve hours.”

“She sleeps from 9 p.m. to 9 or 10 a.m., 12 hours, so this morning I slept too, she never wakes up.”

An officer interrupted her to ask what happened the night before, to which the killer said, “She cried a lot last night.

“And I see one moment, when I was taking a shower, she screamed like, ‘Aaah,’ I don’t know, she probably got hurt, maybe.”

“I pick her up this morning and she looks really dry,” she continued, before saying a few sentences in Spanish.

At her sentencing this week, a judge condemned her actions in the strongest terms as the mother was sent behind bars for life with no chance of parole.

County Common Pleas Court Judge Brendan Sheehan told Candelario she had committed “the ultimate betrayal” by leaving her daughter alone without food.

“Just as you failed to release Jailyn from her captivity, you should also spend the rest of your life in a cell without freedom,” Judge Sheehan said.

“The only difference will be that at least the prison will feed you and give you fluids that you denied it.”

Candelario, who struggles with depression and related mental health issues, said she has prayed daily for forgiveness.

“I’m in so much pain over the loss of my baby, Jailyn,” she said. ‘I am very hurt by everything that has happened.

“I don’t try to justify my actions, but no one knew how much I suffered and what I went through… God and my daughter have forgiven me.”

Curiously, she made the trips with her eldest daughter, and it is unclear why Candelario asked no one to help her care for her child while she was traveling.

She had pleaded guilty last month to aggravated murder and child endangerment. At her sentencing this week, a judge said: 'Just as you did not release Jailyn from her confinement, you should also spend the rest of your life in a cell without freedom.'

After ten days of sunbathing on the beach and enjoying the local sights, she returned to her home on June 16 to find her daughter not breathing.

Paramedics and Cleveland police tragically pronounced the one-year-old dead at the scene, and prosecutors said the child was discovered “on a liner soiled with urine and feces with soiled blankets.”

Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley announced the plea in February, saying, “This case is one of those truly unimaginable cases that will stay with me for many years to come.

“As prosecutors, it is our job to represent the victims and today we spoke on behalf of 16-month-old Jailyn – who is no longer with us – because of the selfish decisions her mother made.”

After news of the gruesome death made headlines, a neighbor also revealed that this wasn’t the first time Candelario left her daughter home alone.

An acquaintance told News5 Cleveland, “We keep telling her not to leave her alone, not just me, my girlfriend across the street, but she always leaves her alone.”

Another female neighbor, who was not identified, told CNN that Jailyn was “always a happy baby” and “always smiling.”

The neighbor’s daughter said there were “plenty of people” around who could have looked at the baby. She said, “She could have knocked on one of our doors and asked us to take care of Jailyn, and we would have.”

“When they told us the condition they found her in, I was just heartbroken,” the teenage neighbor told CNN.

This is the heartbreaking moment a car almost crashes into a horse while making a risky overtaking attempt on a country road.

The near miss is one of several shocking incidents caught on camera and posted by Staffordshire Police after 45 deaths on their roads in the past 12 months.

The first-person footage, filmed on top of the horse, shows the animal trotting across the track when it encounters a white car.

The vehicle waits patiently for the horse to drive safely across the narrow road.

But then out of nowhere a big blue 4×4 car comes from behind and tries to speed past the horse on the same side of the road as the other vehicle.

The rider is forced to suddenly stop the animal while the 4×4 makes the risky overtake move.

The car narrowly avoids hitting the horse as it squeezes past and rides off into the distance.

The animal then continues to trot slowly and the rider appears to gesture in frustration at the dangerous maneuver.

The Highway Code says drivers must be ‘particularly careful’ when overtaking horses and must always give plenty of space.

Cars must also reduce their speed to less than 16 km/h and provide at least two meters of space.

The clip was released alongside other near misses in a montage of chilling incidents created by Staffordshire Police.

The videos were posted on

A final bizarre but dangerous maneuver is shown when a pickup-style Ford tries to avoid a traffic jam but ends up driving onto the sidewalk.

The car, stuck behind a white truck, mounts the curb and begins driving along the sidewalk to overtake the vehicle.

Fortunately, there were no pedestrians in the way and the vehicle avoided mowing down civilians.

Police released the collection of terrifying clips following a series of road-related deaths in the past year.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police added: ‘Over the past year we have seen a high number of fatalities on roads across the county, with 45 people sadly losing their lives.

‘With our new road safety campaign Look Again we want to emphasize that as motorists we all have the opportunity to make our roads safer by taking simple actions.

‘Whether you look at other road users before approaching an intersection, adjust your speed when driving in a busy city center, or take a moment to check a maneuver before you do it, these actions can help you saving lives – and those of other road users.’

The best free and affordable tips from a professional moving company will give you the feeling of a bigger room while still being on a budget.

According to Moving.comLetting in as much light as possible – both natural and artificial – can open up any small space.

That means forgetting the blackout shades and using string lights, hanging lamps and wall sconces if your room won’t accommodate larger floor and table lamps.

Bringing in extra light can also create an element of warmth.

If you want to make a small room seem more spacious, it’s all about how you place your furniture.

Rather than having to remove larger pieces of furniture, they recommend being strategic by keeping those pieces at the edge of the room.

Things like bookcases and couches should be placed against a wall rather than in the middle of the floor.

They also advise finding furniture that is not only stylish, but also functional.

Any pieces that can serve a dueling purpose, such as folding furniture, will do the transforming trick.

My Budget-Friendly Walmart Decor Hack Costs Under $10 and Will Upgrade Your Table — People Say It’s ‘A Win-Win’

You can also get creative with design ideas by including beds that can be turned into sofas and side tables that can easily become desks.

Investing in dining tables and king-size beds that can be stored away are also suggested space-saving solutions.

The good news is that many companies have started making more compact and convertible items as the small trend continues.

Their next pro tip is to use mirrors, as this adds both light and space at the same time.

This ‘double’ interior design trick gives the illusion of more square footage by reflecting back natural and non-natural lighting – don’t worry, we won’t tell.

Adding just one larger mirror or even placing smaller mirrors around the room also adds an extra aesthetic element.

They even recommend making your own mirror wall.

Perhaps the most important thing to remember when upgrading your home is to remove unnecessary items that just take up space.

Getting rid of impractical possessions can also bring you joy that can be both seen and felt.

Adding light and decluttering will make your space appear larger

Naturalists have captured the spectacular moment a terrifying blue shark got the shock of its life when five killer whales attacked it in the waters off the coast of California.

The predator made a hasty retreat from the group of five scientists dubbed “Louise’s family” after they began stalking the waters off Monterey.

It happened less than a month after an orca was seen killing and devouring a great white shark for the first time, amid reports of the species’ increasingly aggressive behavior toward humans and other animals.

And the three-metre shark left no doubt about its place in the pecking order as the mighty whales turned to size it up.

“They didn’t touch it or eat it,” the Monterey Bay Whale Watch reported excitedly. ‘What a rare and fortunate encounter today between two unique species!’

The blue shark was cruising the sea off Monterey, California when it spotted a pod of five killer whales just yards away, rapidly approaching.

The shark made a quick turn and raced away as the whales, named Louise's Family, turned to get a closer look.

Scientists are scratching their heads over the whales’ newfound assertiveness after at least five boats have been sunk in a series of attacks since 2020.

A British couple were subjected to a terrifying 90-minute attack by six of the creatures on board their cruiser yacht off the coast of Gibraltar in May last year.

“We were sitting like crazy,” Janet Morris said.

“There was definitely a clearly bigger matriarch around who was almost supervising,” her husband Stephen said.

“I kept reminding myself that we had a 22-ton boat made of steel, but it was disheartening to see three of them coming out of the water at the same time, fast and at pace with their fins.”

Researchers concluded that the attack was led by a whale named ‘White Gladis’, which has coached other whales to attack boats after being traumatized during a ‘critical moment of pain’ when she collided with a ship or became entangled in fishing nets.

Just two days later, another yacht was sunk nearby in an attack by a group of one adult and two youths.

Last month, for the first time, a killer whale was seen individually killing and eating a great white shark - in just two minutes off the coast of South Africa

The attack damaged the couple’s 22-ton steel boat and left it limping back to port without a rudder

“The little ones shook the rudder at the back, while the big ones drove backwards repeatedly and rammed the ship with full force from the side,” said Captain Werner Schaufelberger.

‘The two small orcas observed the technique of the larger one and they too collided with the boat with a light run.’

Monika Wieland Shields of the Orca Behavior Institute in Washington said hundreds of incidents have been reported worldwide since the attacks began.

“So many people have come to Washington state where I am this year, and they’re wondering, ‘Is it safe to see whales here?’ How big is the boat we are going with? Is there any chance the whales are going to attack this boat?’ she said NBC in December.

In September 2022, authorities in Spain banned ships from sailing from the northwestern tip due to an increase in attacks, and a pair of killer whales, named Port and Starboard, have developed a taste for great white sharks.

Since 2017, at least eight Great Whites have washed up on South Africa’s beaches after their nutrient-rich livers were ripped away by the top predators.

Orcas typically eat seals or even dolphins, but last month Starboard became the first of its kind known to have killed and eaten a Great White itself.

‘Starboard was observed preying on a young white shark measuring 2.5 meters in length, and later carrying the shark liver in its mouth alongside a boat,’ said Dr Alison Towner from Rhodes University.

Orcas can reach heights of up to 10 meters, weigh more than 12,000 kilos and live up to 90 years.

About 200 live off the coast of California and sightings are most common in April and May.

But scientists have played down claims that the creatures are becoming more aggressive towards humans, insisting that their attacks on boats should be seen as ‘playful social behaviour’ and not ‘revenge’ for mistreatment.

“Orcas just want to have fun,” says Robert Pitman of Oregon State University’s Marine Mammal Institute.

‘They are not afraid of boats, and they have nothing to eat there.

‘They are intelligent, social animals, and they live in what I think is probably an environment that is probably not stimulating enough for their mental capabilities.

‘Vengeance is not useful in nature. It’s not adaptive at all, unless you’re human, I guess.”

The BBC has thrown their support behind Giovanni Pernice by plugging his new prime time show – as the Strictly dancer is hit by a fresh crisis.

The broadcaster promoted his latest Bromance series with Anton Du Beke just a day after three of his ex dance partners reportedly met to discuss their difficult experiences working with him.

It also comes as his former Strictly partner Amanda Abbington has reportedly lined up top lawyer Persephone Bridgman Baker to demand rehearsal footage as her fight against Strictly and Giovanni, 33, continues.

The Sherlock actress, 52, quit Strictly back in October due to ‘personal reasons’ amid claims of a feud between her and Giovanni.

Reports then emerged she demanded footage of their rehearsals after the experience in the competition left her with PTSD.

But showing support for Giovanni on Sunday the BBC advertised Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain on Instagram just hours after the fresh claims were revealed.

Sharing a video of the dancing duo talking about their upcoming programme, the caption read: ‘Dancing, singing, Anton and Giovanni know how to perform! But what happened in Benidorm… stays in Benidorm.

It comes as The Sun now claims that Amanda is working with experienced lawyer Persephone as she helps her prepare a legal letter to the BBC to aid her obtaining the rehearsal footage.

A source told the publication: ‘Amanda is lining up a well-known lawyer to help her gain access to the rehearsal tapes of her and Giovanni with the aim of reviewing them.’

On the website of her lawyer firm Carter-Ruck it says: ‘Persephone specialises in media and reputation management work, encompassing defamation, privacy and harassment, together with data protection and intellectual property litigation.’

The broadcaster promoted his latest Bromance series with Anton Du Beke, 57, – just a day after three of his ex partners reportedly met to discuss their difficult experiences working with him

The BBC and Amanda have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

On Saturday Giovanni was hit by a fresh crisis, after it was claimed that three of his former celebrity partners met to discuss their difficult experiences working with him.

Sources claim Amanda, Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore had an ’emotional summit’ where they ‘compared notes’ about their time working with the Italian dancer on the BBC show.

Ranvir complained about Giovanni to producers back in 2020, during their time on the show, while Laura said she ‘cried every day’ and felt ‘uncomfortable’ while dancing with him in 2016.

Sources claimed that while ‘tears were shed,’ the trio also discussed the prospect of ‘formally’ complaining to the BBC about Giovanni’s behaviour.

An insider told The Sun: ‘There is every possibility all three could take it further and formally complain to the BBC, but for now they’re comforting each other.’

‘Only a handful of people will understand what it’s like to be trained by Giovanni and in the industry he is regarded as a ”perfectionist”.

They added: ‘There is some shock that the BBC appears to be doing nothing. Like Amanda, Ranvir also flagged an issue during training with Giovanni and said she was unhappy.’

However, a source close to Giovanni told the publication: ‘Gio finds some of these allegations deeply unfair and offensive. He believes he’s done nothing wrong, and simply wants to get the best out of his partners.’

A representative for the BBC declined to comment to The Sun. MailOnline has contacted representatives for the BBC, Giovanni Pernice, Laura Whitmore, Ranvir Singh and Amanda Abbington for comment.

The BBC said earlier this year that they would not be investigating Giovanni’s behaviour with Amanda, with a spokesperson saying: ‘There is a constant dialogue between the senior production team and contestants to ensure any concerns are addressed swiftly.’

In 2016, former Love Island host Laura Whitmore said she ‘cried every day’ and felt ‘uncomfortable’ while training with him.

She later wrote for HuffPost UK in 2018: ‘I’m still not ready to talk in depth about my experience on the show.

‘I was placed with a dance partner I was extremely uncomfortable with and in the end I felt broken, I cried every day. And I really was broken, both mentally and physically, by the end.’

It’s also thought that Giovanni clashed with his 2018 celebrity partner Faye Tozer, while his 2022 partner Richie Anderson has unfollowed him on Instagram.

Giovanni, who is currently on tour with his stage show and is set to star with Anton Du Beke in a travel series on Monday, hinted last month he’d return to Strictly later this year for the last time.

However a Strictly spokesman said they would make an announcement in ‘due course.’

This comes just hours after Giovanni broke his silence on Amanda’s explosive exit from the BBC show.

Speaking on The Mirror’s Invite Only podcast alongside fellow dancer Anton Du Beke he said: ‘It’s a shame because, in my opinion, [Amanda] could have gone all the way.’

While judge Anton added: ‘I thought you and Amanda were marvellous. I thought you were terrific’ and compared the Sherlock actress’ talents to 2019 winner Kelvin Fletcher.

Following accusations of his ‘militant’ teaching style Giovanni admitted that was a ‘perfectionist’ but said it came from a ‘perspective of caring’ and that he believed all other professional dancers were the same.

Saying: ‘In every single part of the world, if you’re a professional dancer on one of these [Strictly] shows, you have to get these people looking the best they can on Saturday night’.

‘And if we have good scores at the end, I do look back and say, ‘I’ve done a great job’. But we all care about our partners and we want that for them every single week; to look great on a Saturday’.

He continued: ‘There’s no specific way that you are, or have to be with your celebrity. You make the most of their strengths so the only thing that’s constant is the fact that you have to do a show on Saturday night.’

It comes after MailOnline exclusively revealed that Amanda had dropped her complaint to the BBC and had not contacted the Corporation on the matter further.

Sources at the BBC said that the ‘matter is now closed’ and they have ‘moved on’ after she asked to review the recordings of their off-screen dancing after she left the series, citing ‘personal reasons.’

Amanda was also seeking legal advice over Giovanni’s alleged behaviour towards her, believing video footage could ‘back up’ her claims.

It is understood that the first BBC chiefs knew about her PTSD late last year when they received a request for the tapes.

One show insider told the Mail: ‘The whole thing was baffling but when Amanda contacted the BBC, she wanted some answers.

‘But she hasn’t followed it through and the matter is now closed. Amanda said she left for a medical reason at the time, but that was not PTSD.

‘Her complaint was of course looked at but they were adamant that Giovanni had done nothing wrong. The BBC were ready to fight her, Amanda’s reason for quitting Strictly was an entirely different one to her PTSD.

‘She told production of a totally different medical condition and they [were] hugely supportive of her and did all they could to help.’

Amanda left the show during week five in October. It has reportedly taken months for her to recover from her time on the programme and she has apparently needed therapy following the ‘behaviour she was exposed to.’

Speaking about her condition, Amanda told The Sun: ‘I was diagnosed with mild PTSD after Strictly for several reasons and I told a few people about that, in the utmost confidence, among other things that were happening in my life at the time both professionally and personally.’

A BBC spokesman declined to comment at the time.

Amanda was praised by the judges for her performances during her time on the show but it was claimed she was struggling behind the scenes.

An inside source told The Telegraph: ‘It could be that she didn’t know what she let herself in for.

‘He [Giovanni] was quite tough and she found that difficult. If she wasn’t very well, that wouldn’t have helped.

‘She was with a partner that had a certain training style that she couldn’t cope with. Whether that came to a head or whether there’s something else going on I don’t know.’

Giovanni’s parents said the dancer ‘was just doing his job’ following Amanda’s shock departure from Strictly.

Addressing the news at the time, Giovanni’s father Piero and mother Rosalda admitted that their son ‘trained for long hours but was just doing his job’.

Twinkle-toed star Giovanni was reportedly only given the news of Amanda’s exit a few hours before the official statement was released.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘Amanda didn’t tell Giovanni she had decided to quit the show. The first he heard was a call from a producer.

‘This has really annoyed him. He’s barely heard from her for 10 days. She hasn’t been replying to messages or telling him what’s happening.

‘He’s been complaining about it to friends. He’s frustrated. He is worried the drama will be damaging for his career and make him look bad.’

Amanda snubbed the show’s December final which saw the stars of the year’s series that had previously been eliminated came together to do a group dance and celebrate with the winner.

A source told The Mirror of why she wouldn’t be there: ‘They wanted to position her as still very much part of the Strictly family, but Amanda’s response to the invitation was she’d not be back.

‘It’s a shame, because her exit has been a sour note to the series this year.’

The Strictly insider added her snub has been ‘difficult’ and upsetting for Giovanni as he doesn’t want people to see it ‘as a reflection on him.’

They added whilst the pair sometimes ‘clashed’ Giovanni wishes her all the best.

Chilling never-before-seen footage from a nanny cam has revealed the moment a battered husband cowered on the floor while his wife hurled abuse at him and brandished a knife in their home during her 20-year reign of terror.

Damning videos of Sheree Spencer’s attacks on husband Richard at their seven-bedroom home in Bubwith, East Yorkshire, were captured on cameras the couple had installed to monitor their children.

And explosive clips from police interviews show Sheree casually lying about her husband being the abuser, only for her face to turn ashen when confronted with the footage.

On one occasion she defecated on the floor and forced him to clean it up, and on another she beat him with a wine bottle so hard it permanently disfigured his ear.

Sheree, 45, was jailed for four years at Hull Crown Court in March last year by Judge Kate Rayfield, who told her: ‘This is the worst case of controlling and coercive behaviour I have seen.’

Now, Mr Spencer is sharing his story in vivid detail in Channel 5 documentary My Wife, My Abuser: The Secret Footage, which airs on Monday.

And today, MailOnline can reveal Sheree went to desperate lengths through the courts in a bid to stop the documentary being broadcast.

The footage, obtained from the nanny-cam, gives a chilling real-life echo of Harlan Coben’s Netflix adaptation Fool Me Once, starring Michelle Keegan. In it, Keegan plays a woman who installs the small camera to keep watch over her young daughter, only to recognise an eerie figure from her past creeping into her home.

Mr Spencer felt his harrowing experiences should be seen to raise awareness of the type of abuse men can suffer in their daily lives at the hands of violent partners but Sheree tried to block it.

He told MailOnline: ‘Sheree tried to stop the documentary being broadcast in the crown court but failed, then she applied for a prohibited steps order through the family court, which luckily was rejected and thrown out at the first hearing.

‘The broadcast has been delayed due to the legal challenges for about six months, but now it is finally going to be shown.

‘I’m hopeful that the film will be well received and will make a difference.’

The hidden nanny cam gave a vital way out for battered husband Mr Spencer after he endured years of physical and verbal abuse from his wife, that left him ‘broken’ on the floor in a foetal position.

Mr Spencer had met his wife in a nightclub in 2000, and the pair married on a Thai beach in 2009.

After they welcomed the eldest of their three daughters in 2015, Mr Spencer installed the nanny cam so they could keep watch over her.

Instead, footage showed furious wine-fuelled tirades, in which Sheree would call her husband ‘fat boy,’ ‘a p**sy’ and ‘dumb dumb’ and inflict bruises and scratches that he would need to cover with make-up before going outside.

Mr Spencer told The Sun: ‘We had two [cameras] — one in the playroom and one in the bedroom. They were there for reassurance, to keep an eye out because it’s a big house.

‘It was on something like a 28-day roll, where if something new came in it would delete the old footage.’

When police finally became involved, Mr Spencer handed over 43 images of his bruised face, taken on different dates following savage assaults he had suffered.

A police officer tells the documentary: ‘This has been going on for such a long time, that this is who he is. Withdrawn and broken.’

Mr Spencer says: ‘I just wanted the abuse to stop. I was in a situation and there was no way out.’

Hull Crown Court heard that mother-of-three Sheree had carried out most of the attacks on her husband in the family home.

Sheree worked at the highest levels for HM Prison and Probation Service and bragged to friends that she had the ear of former prime minister Boris Johnson.

She was a project manager in the department’s directorate of strategy and performance.

A former friend said: ‘She would brag about being only two down from the prime minister in her field and had meetings with Boris Johnson, who she spoke of as though he were a friend.

‘She was bragging about her high flying career while subjecting her poor husband, a lovely man, to daily abuse, degradation and humiliation.’

It was described as ‘a great irony’ that Spencer had done so much work aimed at investigating the effect of custodial sentences on the family.

Within months of becoming a couple in 2000, Richard endured her violent rages, which happened whether she was drunk or sober.

The worst of the assaults on him happened in April 2021 when his wife attacked him with the empty wine bottle.

Mr Spencer, who stands at 5ft 10in, told the court that although he was bigger and physically stronger than his petite wife, he did not fight back when she began to attack him.

He said he became almost immune to the physical abuse she meted out, even though she would cause him immense pain by sinking her teeth into him.

But he said the mental scars left by 16 years of her hate-filled attacks were what would leave the most lasting effect.

Sheree’s reign of domestic terror finally ended in June 2021 when the police were called to their family home by a concerned welfare worker.

Her arrest that day on suspicion of assaulting her husband opened a door into the hell he had kept private for his entire married life.

Mr Spencer said: ‘In trying to block the footage being shown, she continued trying to exert control even from jail, but fortunately justice prevailed.

‘It’s astonishing to me that she’s living a relatively easy life in prison, having been moved to an open jail after six months of her sentence.

‘The judge in her case described it as the worst case of coercive control she had ever seen, so why she was considered for open prison so early is beyond me.

‘She is due for release next February but she is able to go out for family and friend meetings and has been working in a cafe.

‘It doesn’t seem a just sentence for someone who committed such serious offences.’

Since his ex-wife’s imprisonment, Mr Spencer has joined a campaign called ManKind Initiative, which supports male victims of domestic abuse.

He has also found love again and told media he is happily settled with his new partner.

Speaking to media after Sheree was jailed last year, he said: ‘I have become resigned to the fact that I will never fully recover from her abuse and that it will have a permanent damaging impact on mine and my family’s life.

‘Sheree’s abuse towards me evolved and escalated over time, she used repeated acts of physical assault, threats, verbal abuse, and humiliation to punish and exercise control over me.

‘The abuse was hidden from the outside world, including friends and family. Sheree manipulated me into believing that I was a responsible and willing participant in the abuse. She remorselessly proclaimed that I deserved to be punished, and that it was a justifiable consequence of me disappointing her in some way.

‘Little by little, I lost my independence and willpower and just accepted that was how my life was going to be. I complied with Sheree’s demands, and she controlled most aspects of my everyday life, including things like what activities I could participate in and when, which room I could sleep in, and even which toilet I could use.

‘Gradually I became isolated from family and friends and was left deep in debt causing me to feel trapped.

‘After a while, I learnt to cover my face with my hands and curl up into a foetal position to try and avoid sustaining any visible facial injuries, so that I could still take the children to school and nursery.’

A mother and daughter have revealed what it’s like to share their dream job as a pilot, work for the same airline – and ‘land’ a plane together in a state-of-the-art simulator.

Teresa Irving, 56, and her daughter Gabriella Irving, 29, both work for British Airways, where Teresa serves as captain of a Boeing 787 and her daughter as first officer of the Airbus A320.

The pair often cross paths at their base at Heathrow Airport, where they wish each other a ‘safe flight’ for the day and share a ‘big hug’ before leaving on separate planes.

And Gabriella, who goes by Ella, said she still calls her mother after every landing now that she has been a qualified pilot for two years.

On Mother’s Day, the pair shared their admiration for each other in a moving exclusive interview with MailOnline Travel.

Ella said: “I have always been so proud of my mother’s career. When I was little, I was excited to tell people about her work.

‘I have very early memories of sitting in the cockpit – back when children were allowed to visit – and it seemed almost normal to see her flying this huge plane, knowing what all those hundreds of buttons did and talked on the radios.”

However, it wasn’t “plane” sailing for Teresa to find her dream job.

Initially pursuing a career as a doctor, she left school after her A-levels in 1985 to begin medical training at University College London (UCL).

When she started studying psychology in her second year, she realized that medicine “wasn’t for her.”

It wasn’t until she was accepted into the University of London Air Squadron that Teresa realized her calling.

“It literally changed my life,” she said. ‘After my first weekend at RAF Abingdon, two flights including aerobatics, I remember calling my mother and telling her I was going to be a pilot.

‘From then on I started flying as much as possible and was lucky enough to gain hours for three years while I completed my studies.’

Teresa graduated in 1990 when the Royal Airforce began accepting female pilots.

There she applied for a job as a pilot and also for a place on the BA-sponsored cadet program.

“I was determined that I would fly somehow,” she said.

‘It just so happened that I was accepted for both, but then I had to make a painful decision.

‘I always knew I wanted to be a mother and this became the deciding factor for me. As the RAF did not offer maternity leave at the time, I accepted BA’s offer.’

Teresa began training at the Oxford Air Training School in August that year and earned her wings 16 months later. Since then she has worked at BA, where she also raised three children.

Her eldest, Ella, said she has “always been in awe” of her mother, who has “combined an incredibly rewarding yet demanding career with being a fully present parent.”

Now the sky seems to be the limit for Ella too, described by her mother as ‘a chip off the old block’.

Teresa said: ‘I get quite emotional when I see Ella wearing the uniform I have worn for so long and seeing her so comfortable in what was only my world, but is now ours.

“I love that she calls me after every trip to share anecdotes and understand the nuances, and I think this appreciation for each other’s environment has brought us even closer together.

‘To see Ella so passionate about the career she is embarking on is everything a mother could ask for.’

The couple dreams of one day flying a plane together, with Teresa ‘under strict instructions’ from Ella not to retire early.

But there could be some debate over which plane they leave on, with Ella favoring the Airbus and Teresa a self-confessed ‘Boeing girl’.

And that’s no wonder.

The mother has an impressive history with the aircraft family, which has a yoke for maneuvering, while Airbus planes have a side stick.

During her career at BA she has flown the Boeing 757, 767, 777 and the ‘iconic’ jumbo jet 747. Now? She is a captain on the 787 Dreamliner.

For Mother’s Day, Teresa got the chance to show her daughter what the Boeing 787 is all about when they were invited to put BA’s flight simulator of the aircraft to the test.

Footage from inside shows Teresa telling Ella she’s ‘doing fantastic’ as she guides her through the landing of the 68-metre plane and encourages her to “let it come down” and “let it sink in” just before landing.

“Brilliant, great fun,” Teresa adds. “Look, you can easily fly Boeings,” she jokes to her daughter in the video.

Speaking to MailOnline Travel, Ella said the experience was ‘everything I wanted and more’ – and that flying with her mother was ‘nothing like the driving lessons we had when I was 17’.

She praised Teresa as “a great captain” but joked that the Boeing plane was “much easier” to fly thanks to the “Head-up Display” – which shows the pilot important flight information while still being able to see out the cockpit window.

Flying planes certainly run in Ella’s family, whose father and stepfather are also pilots.

As for her two siblings, they have “decided to keep their feet on the ground so far,” she said. “But with our family it’s impossible to say.”

But it is Teresa who proves to be Ella’s driving force, described by her daughter as ‘truly inspiring’.

Her mother expanded on her passion for the job – as a pilot and mother – in a message to aspiring female pilots.

It’s the most amazing job for a woman. It’s incredible for a family.

‘You become a bit yourself. You can go away and fulfill yourself.

“But when you come home, you also get time at home where you don’t have anything to do other than be a mom, and that’s just great.”

For deep-pocketed sailors who aren’t content with just the ocean to swim in, a $60 million superyacht comes with its own indoor pool, complete with Greek statues.

Built by Turkey-based luxury yacht builder Bilgin, Leona features a unique beach club that looks like something out of a five-star spa or hotel, with the tiled pool surrounded by a marble floor and marble-worked panels on the walls.

One TikTok video, uploaded by luxury real estate expert Enes Yilmazer, takes viewers inside the chic pool area and he reveals that the design was dreamed up by the yacht’s billionaire owner, but there’s no word on who the mystery buyer is.

Another video, created by yacht builder Bilgin, offers a more in-depth tour of the bullet-shaped 263-foot yacht, which celebrated its launch in October 2022.

In addition to a swimming pool, the owner installed several other luxury amenities, highlights of which include a fire pit, aquarium, hookah room, piano bar and a red velvet-lined cinema room.

There’s also a “palatial owner’s suite,” seen in the video, complete with a circular bath, a private indoor lounge and a terrace with a spa tub.

Boat international reveals that the owner’s representative turned to London’s H2 Yacht Design to create a “playful rich and layered interior.”

The company’s design director James Bermudez explained: ‘Leona’s interior employs a bold, opulent palette with a high level of intricate detail.

‘[There is a] intensive use of decorative finishes and interesting textures: glossy lacquers, backlit onyx, figurative wood, gold inlays and luxurious textiles are combined throughout.

‘We soon discovered that the client did not respond positively to modest design.

“He required us to be bold and turn up the volume.”

While Bilgin spread out the furniture, the designers also installed many pieces from fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, who is known for his sexy designs and avid use of animal prints.

For the captain and crew, Boat International notes that the architects installed “well-thought-out spaces.”

The superyacht location reveals: ‘Both the captain and first officer have cabins on the bridge deck.

‘In addition to a large crew mess, officers also have access to day rooms on the tank deck.’

After videos of the yacht’s indoor pool emerged, commentators seemed to have mixed feelings about it.

One viewer saw the usefulness of this unique feature, writing, “There’s obviously a pool because if it’s raining outside you can swim without getting wet.”

However, another commenter said: ‘What a waste. You have the whole damn ocean. What’s the point?’

Barnaby Joyce is taking time off just weeks after he was filmed lying intoxicated on a public footpath slurring swear words into his phone.

The former deputy prime minister came under intense scrutiny earlier this month after a viral video emerged of him lying on a Canberra street late at night, which he later blamed on mixing alcohol with prescription drugs.

Ahead of a busy day of parliamentary sitting on Monday, Nationals leader David Littleproud said Joyce had taken a week off after urging the MP to take time off to deal with “personal matters”.

‘I take Barnaby at his word. He won’t be there this week. He has informed me that he will not be coming to Parliament,” Mr Littleproud said.

Ahead of a busy day of parliamentary sitting on Monday, Nationals leader David Littleproud said Mr Joyce had taken a week off after urging the MP to take time off to deal with “personal matters”.

‘He has a week off, which we gave him together with his family.

‘I respect that. And I hope, I hope he went to church yesterday and all he had was altar wine.”

Mr Joyce said he was giving up alcohol for Lent.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese joked that Joyce will not host his money party after announcing his engagement to girlfriend Jodie Haydon.

The 60-year-old Albanian got down on one knee on Valentine’s Day and has since been answering questions from the media about his marriage.

Speaking to Fox FM radio presenters in Melbourne, Mr Albanese quickly brushed aside the idea of embattled Nationals Frontbencher Mr Joyce planning his money night.

“No mate, I want to stay vertical,” the Prime Minister said on Friday.

Mr Albanese had previously ruled out inviting Mr Joyce to the wedding, telling KIIS FM’s Kyle and Jackie O on Wednesday that he was the only person on the list so far.

“Barnaby’s not invited… that’s very clear,” he said.

The Albanian government has taken a hit in the new polls since the revision of the third phase of tax cuts and the days after a crucial by-election.

Parliament will meet for the next four days before the by-election in the Melbourne seat of Dunkley following the death of Labor MP Peta Murphy takes place on Saturday – the first major electoral test of the year.

Two new polls show that despite the changes to tax cuts – which will be passed by parliament this week – the government has suffered a dip in the primaries.

The Newspoll for The Australian shows the government has failed to improve its overall position since December.

Labor’s primary vote trailed the Coalition by 36 to 33 percent, although the government maintained a four-point lead on the two-party preferential voting system, 52 to 48 percent, two points higher than in February polls.

Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek said she knew the by-election would be tough but remained confident Labor candidate Jodie Belyea would sway voters.

“Midterm elections are tough and that’s why our candidate talks to voters every day about what’s important to them – and that’s the cost of living,” she said.

National frontbencher Barnaby Joyce declared that the high cost of living was ‘absolutely killing people’, arguing that recent border protection scandals would dampen Labour’s chances.

“(Voters) can’t afford what’s happening at the checkout, and they certainly can’t afford their energy prices,” he said.

‘Let’s see what the PvdA can do. They don’t deserve to win. Let’s put it this way: Let’s see what happens.’

The Newspoll results also showed Albanese gaining one point as ‘better prime minister’, from 46 to 47 percent, while Dutton remained steady at 35 percent. Another 18 percent were not committed.

Opinion polls conducted by the Resolve Political Monitor for the Nine newspapers showed that primary votes for Labor have fallen by one point since December from 35 to 34 percent, while the Coalition gained ground from 34 percent to 37 percent.

While Albanese was still seven points ahead of Dutton (39 to 32 percent) as preferred prime minister, the margin was also the lowest since Labor returned to power.
