During the busy Easter period, Tesco opening hours vary by location.

On Good Friday, most stores will be open according to normal opening hours, but those that are normally open late will close earlier than usual at 10 p.m.

Scottish stores will continue to operate as normal and close at normal times.

All major shops in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are closed on Easter Sunday.

Scottish shops are open from 8am to 8pm.

Most Tesco Express stores remain open.

On Easter Monday, store opening hours vary depending on location and store type.

Many large stores will have shorter opening hours and close at 8 p.m.

So many stars said “sláinte” as they celebrated St. Patrick’s Day 2024.

Cyrus made the most of her 2018 St. Patrick’s Day celebrations and grabbed every green piece of clothing she could find for her party outfit. “Itszzzzz EZ is green!” she tweeted, sticking out her tongue and tipping her leprechaun hat to her followers.

For the Kardashian-Jenner clan, there’s a little extra happiness to celebrate on St. Patrick’s Day every year. Rob Kardashian‘s birthday falls on the same day as the fun holiday. “It’s so much fun watching you grow as a dad with each passing year, and I hope you know how proud I am of you every day,” mom Kris Jenner shared in her 2024 birthday tribute. “I’m so SO blessed and I thank God for choosing me to be your mother. I am the happiest mother in the whole world!!!! Happy Birthday Rob! Love, Mom .”

Zac Young‘s boozy twist on a classic red velvet cake is the perfect treat to get Us in the St. Patrick’s Day atmosphere.

The Food Network star, 41, exclusively shared the recipe for his delicious Guinness Green Velvet cake in the latest issue of We weekly.

“The cake has just a hint of cocoa and allows the malty, hoppy flavor of the Guinness to shine through, especially when paired with the whiskey-enriched salted caramel glaze,” says Young. Us of the dessert.

In addition to coming up with creative bakes like his Guinness green Velvet cake, Young is perhaps best known as the creator of the cake/tart combo, the PieCaken. He turned his green velvet cake into a St. Patrick’s Day-themed version of the desert called the “Saint PatCaken,” which fans can order through Goldbelly.

“We’ll start with our whiskey pecan pie. Guinness Green Velvet Cake

Serves 6-10

Ingredients

For the cake

• 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tbsp cocoa powder
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ½ teaspoon baking soda
• ¾ cup brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• ½ cup canola oil
• ½ cup buttermilk
• 1/3 cup Guinness
• 1 teaspoon green food coloring

For the glaze

• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
• ¼ cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons Irish whisky
• ½ teaspoon kosher salt
• ½ cup powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 340 degrees. Coat a standard-sized loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda until no lumps remain.

3. In a separate bowl, beat the brown sugar and eggs until smooth.

4. Add the oil and then the buttermilk to the egg mixture.

5. Slowly beat the flour mixture into the egg mixture and mix until just a batter.

6. Whisk in the Guinness and food coloring until combined. Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan.

7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

8. Remove the cake from the pan when it has cooled.

For the glaze

1. Heat the butter in a microwave-safe bowl until melted, about 30 seconds.

2. Once the butter has melted, whisk in the brown sugar and microwave for another 30 seconds or until the sugar has dissolved.

3. Stir in the whisky, salt and icing sugar and beat until smooth.

4. Let the glaze cool to room temperature and spread the glaze over the cooled cake.

5. Decorate with green and gold sprinkles and sanding sugar as desired.

6. For best results, let the cake stand for at least 30 minutes so that the icing forms a crust before cutting.

Another blini for your caviar, ma’am?’ I am asked as we sail above the snow-capped mountains of Iceland and I take a seat on my wide throne, finished in Italian cream leather and walnut.

Around me, my fellow guests, all smartly dressed and brimming with excitement, sip perfectly chilled Dom Perignon champagne vintage 2013 (which costs more than £200 a bottle) as they get to know each other.

We’re aboard Abercrombie & Kent’s private jet, flying in extreme style from Reykjavik, Iceland, to Portland, Oregon.

The company takes small groups of wealthy travelers around the world on trips costing up to £156,605 ($200,000) for up to 26 days.

These types of private jet tours have become increasingly popular since the pandemic and are now offered by several luxury travel companies, including hotel groups Aman and Four Seasons. I taste it for one trip.

I’m assigned 9A, a window seat with absolutely everything I need within easy reach: almost as soon as I notice my phone’s battery is running low, I find a charger in a side pocket; when the cabin chatter increases as I go to sleep, I find a pair of Bose noise-canceling headphones above my head; The moment I get hungry or need a refill, a cabin crew member comes over and places something on the wide walnut table in front of me.

I’ve had worse meals at Michelin star restaurants and can’t quite believe what I’m tasting at 35,000 feet.

The extensive and unlimited drinks menu includes negronis and espresso martinis, campari, martini, cognac and bottles of red and white wine that would cost over £100 at your local restaurant.

The eight hours fly by in a ridiculously luxurious haze, and before we know it the plane lands in Portland. I have never been so unhappy getting off a plane.

Once we disembark, the plane is cleaned and replenished, ready for the lucky guests who will continue on a 25-day Wildlife Safari tour, visiting eight countries and making stops to spot snow monkeys in Japan, bears in Malaysia, Bengal tigers in India, lemurs in Madagascar and gorillas in Uganda – all while wrapped in luxury.

They will be in the air for a total of 55 hours. A comparable route via commercial flights would take 117 hours, plus 77 additional stops. A trip on any other tour between Cebu in the Philippines and Sandakan in Malaysia usually takes 19 hours plus two stops; A&K’s private jet does it in 40 minutes.

Passengers never have to queue and are guided through private terminals with immigration cards pre-filled by staff.

Hotel stops, meanwhile, are made at the world’s top brands, including The Peninsular, Shangri-La and Ritz-Carlton.

If the plane lands somewhere outside the luxury hotel aisle, A&K books a three- or four-star hotel and converts it to a five-star hotel. They train staff (or bring in their own), replace furniture, bedding and mattresses, paint walls and add artwork.

For this all-inclusive odyssey, you’ll be asked to pay £139,670 pp ($176,000). Demand is high and almost 40 percent of customers return for their second, third or even ninth trip.

When guests spend what some people pay for a house, expectations are obviously very high. Does the staff ever say ‘no’ to guests? “No,” comes Ann’s quick response, a wry smile spreading across her face. “Honestly, we do everything we can to meet our guests’ needs, and ‘no’ isn’t really in our vocabulary. There was one time a couple asked for eight feather pillows in every hotel room, so we made sure that happened.”

Then there was the woman who brought nine suitcases and presented seven pages of dietary requirements; the veterinarian who wanted to eat a pig’s head in the remote Philippines; the man who proposed after being airlifted to Everest base camp, then asked if the staff would arrange his wedding a few days later – which of course they did in Sicily.

So, is it worth it? If you have the money, absolutely. But it is also dangerous. Fly around the world like this and you might never want to take a normal commercial flight again.

It is Queen Camilla’s dream home: a sprawling palace on a sun-drenched hill in Tuscany with breathtaking views over the city of Florence.

Camilla spent her childhood holidays here with her brother Mark and sister Annabel, playing hide and seek in the enormous frescoed rooms and roaming freely in the spacious grounds dotted with ancient statues.

The Villa dell’Ombrellino, once occupied by the Italian scientist Galileo Galilei in the 16th century, was built in 1372.

It was bought with cash a hundred years ago. King Edward VII gave his mistress Alice Keppel – Camilla’s great-grandmother – and during Alice’s lifetime the site became a magnet for passing European monarchs.

Three-hour lunches on the terrace were served by waves of servers, champagne corks popped and there was nothing but gossip about titled people.

“Ombrellino served Mrs. Keppel’s status fantasies,” a friend recalled – and indeed her life in this Italian paradise was nothing less than a royal court in exile.

Now the enormous building lies empty and abandoned, its gates rusting and the paint peeling – a white elephant of a palace that no one wants. No one has lived there for twenty years and no one wants to live there.

After Alice Keppel’s death in 1947, the house was inherited by her second daughter Violet Trefusis, whose lesbian elopement with the writer Vita Sackville-West shocked London society in the 1920s and forced Mrs. Keppel – already into trouble with the royal court because the current king, George V, disapproved of her leaving Britain.

Nevertheless, Alice had a permanent suite at the Ritz hotel in London, with many adjoining staff quarters, and moved there permanently during the war.

To buy or not to buy, that is the question Nick Cannon wonders if he should get Valentine's Day gifts for his sons.

“Do I get my sons something for Valentine's Day because they see their sister has something?” Cannon, 43, interviewed on the Friday, February 16, episode of the “Counsel Culture Show” podcast.
