TELEVISION fans can now enjoy six additional live channels without paying a cent.

Pluto TV has announced that it has updated its free-to-view app with some bonus content.

The app is an ad-supported rival to Netflix and Disney+.

There is no charge to watch Pluto TV, but you will have to endure commercials.

Pluto TV features more than 250 live channels, with six more joining the roster, as revealed by Cord Cutters News.

There are a few live news and horror films – as well as some quirky additions.

These channels are now live in the app and can be watched for free.

2001 

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez first met on the set of their film Gigli in December 2001. 

The movie, upon its eventual release two years later, won seven Razzies and was branded ‘unwatchable’ by some critics.

It garnered $7.2m in the box office against a reported $55m budget. Yet all was not lost, as the film brought Bennifer closer together.

SEPTEMBER 2002

While they were yet to know about their looming box office failure, Bennifer were in front of the camera once more in 2002 as they reunited to shoot the 2004 movie Jersey Girl.

The movie was where their love was cemented and the couple’s romance was born.

Their name was in fact born on-set, as Jersey Girl director Kevin Smith said: ‘Bennifer’ is trending.

2002 ONWARD   

The duo made their red carpet debut at the premiere of her movie Maid In Manhattan.

From red carpet appearances to Juicy Couture tracksuits, they soon became one of the world’s most photographed couples thanks to their Hollywood good looks and glamorous style.

NOVEMBER 2002

Ben popped the question to Jennifer with an eye-popping 6.1-carat pink solitaire diamond from Harry Winston during a visit to see his family in Boston – leading to a delighted surprise.

She described the proposal, saying: ‘It’s just a blanket, a quilt of rose petals, all over the whole entire house. So many candles, and vases, bouquets.

‘And my song I’m Glad was playing… I walk in and I was just like overwhelmed. I wasn’t expecting it, and I was just like ‘Oh my God.”

Ben then revealed his mother Christopher Anne Boldt helped him with the proposal, after which Jennifer said: ‘I just started sobbing. Crying. I was like ‘Oh! My God!”

She went on: ‘I had cried a lot over sadness over the years. And for the first time in my life, I cried incredible purging tears of happiness…

‘It was the most cleansing feeling and the most wonderful feeling I had ever had.’

Later that month, Ben appeared in Jennifer’s Jenny From The Block music video including one scene – designed to look like a stealth paparazzi video – showing the actor caressing her famous derriere.

Not content with a video cameo, Jennifer dedicated her sensual and gushing track Dear Ben from her third studio album This Is Me… Then to her husband-to-be.

Days before their highly-publicized wedding, the couple astounded fans when they announced a postponement due to increasingly feverish media attention.

The couple confirmed their split with a simple statement.

Later that year, Jennifer sought comfort in her longtime friend, Marc Anthony, explaining: ‘[I wanted to] find someone who could make me feel loved and wanted in my loneliest hour…

On making their relationship work, Jennifer detailed why things struggled for the pair.

APRIL 2021

After being proposed to in 2019, Jennifer unexpectedly called off her engagement to MLB star Alex Rodriguez in April.

Shortly after, Ben was seen arriving at Jennifer’s home in a white Escalade SUV that is said to belong to the Hustlers star. He was later seen being dropped off by the singer’s security.

Ben whisked his former flame Jennifer away on a private jet this past weekend for a romantic getaway trip to a luxury ski resort in Montana, where the actor is understood to own a chalet.

In exclusive pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, the former couple appeared relaxed and at ease around one another as they sat side-by-side in an SUV, with the Good Will Hunting star in the driver’s seat, amid rumors he’s been spending time at the singer’s LA mansion on multiple occasions.

In pictures of the pair arriving back to LA, both Ben and Jennifer looked dressed for comfort as they stood close together while exiting the private plane following the short trip, where they had packed a considerable amount of luggage.

Sources claimed to E! that the pair spent ‘about a week’ together at the club, and they ‘were alone’ during their stay. 

Following their getaway, Jennifer made several trips to Los Angeles to spend time with Ben, before the Academy Award-winner jetted off to Miami, Florida to spend time at Lopez’s home. 

During his stay in Miami, Ben was seen hanging out on Jennifer’s balcony smoking cigarettes before joining the superstar for a gym session. 

Sources told In Touch that Ben and Jen ‘looked madly in love’ during their gym date and ‘were clearly picking up where they left off in their relationship years ago.

The insider added: ‘They even shared a kiss on the gym floor and were super playful with each other between sets.’ 

May 31, 2021 – Rekindled romance CONFIRMED

After weeks of speculation and sources claiming the pair had taken their friendship to a ‘romantic’ level, Ben and Jennifer confirmed the news for themselves during a romantic date night in West Hollywood.

During the outing, Jennifer and Ben had their arms wrapped around one another while waiting to be seated at Wolfgang Puck’s new restaurant located at the swanky Pendry hotel

The 51-year-old On The Floor singer had her head nestled into the 48-year-old Academy Award-winner’s neck as he held her closely with one arm. 

JUNE 2021 

Jennifer sparked rumors that she may relocate from Miami to the West Coast for Ben when she was seen touring school in the LA area for her twins Max and Emme, 13.

A source told The Sun at the time that Lopez was ‘looking towards LA’ and that her Miami house reminds Lopez too much of her ex and Los Angeles is perfect for a fresh start as it’s convenient for her TV work and photoshoots, which more often take place on the west coast.

In the meantime, Jennifer hunkered down in her $28million mansion in LA and enjoyed several visits to Ben’s Brentwood home throughout the month. He also seen leaving her Bel Air abode on several occasions.

Further blending their families, Ben and Jennifer decided to enjoy a day out at Universal Studios Hollywood ahead of the Fourth Of July holiday.

The couple, who walked with arms wrapped around one another, were joined by Lopez’s twins, as well as Affleck’s nine-year-old son Samuel. 

They would then jet out of Los Angeles to celebrate the Fourth Of July in the Hamptons, along with Lopez’s daughter Emme and a pal. 

On Thursday, July 15, Ben was spotted driving his girlfriend around as he helped her on her ‘hunt for a mega-mansion’ in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, further fueling rumors that she plans to relocate to be closer to the actor.

JANUARY – MARCH 2022 

With their rekindled relationship moving from strength to strength, Ben and Jennifer began their ‘hunt for a mega-mansion’ in the Los Angeles area.

They were photographed on a number of occasions checking out sprawling properties across the city.

In late March, TMZ reported that the happy couple are ‘in escrow’ on a massive $50M mansion with 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms in swanky Bel Air  

On March 23, Ben supported his pop star girlfriend at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, where she was honored with the coveted Icon Award.

He was seen sitting in the audience with Jennifer’s daughter Emme, 14, and his young son Samuel, nine. 

APRIL 2022 

Following days of speculation – after she was seen with a huge sparkler on her finger – Jennifer confirmed that she was engaged to Ben for the second time in their relationship.

She confirmed the news in a newsletter shared to her official website on Friday, April 8, which included a touching video that showed her getting emotional as she gawked at her engagement ring.

Earlier in the day, just hours before the news broke, Ben and Jennifer was captured touring real estate spaces in Santa Monica. The On The Floor singer was NOT wearing her engagement ring at the time. 

JULY 16, 2022

Jennifer and Ben tied the knot in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022 which was three months after becoming engaged again and 20 years after the actor first got down on one knee. 

The Selena actress, 52, confirmed they said ‘I do’ on her newsletter On The JLo, where she shared details of their intimate wedding held at the Little White Wedding Chapel.

The newsletter was signed ‘Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck’ and included candid selfies of the newlyweds and video of the couple preparing for their special day, including one of Ben getting ready inside the chapel’s bathroom and photos of J.Lo in her wedding dress. 

‘We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient,’ she wrote in her post. 

‘Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world. Behind us two men held hands and held each other. In front of us, a young couple who made the three hour drive from Victorville on their daughter’s second birthday—all of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.

‘We barely made it to the little white wedding chapel by midnight. They graciously stayed open late a few minutes, let us take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible, evidently once used by the king himself (but if we wanted Elvis himself to show, that cost extra and he was in bed).

‘So with the best witnesses you could ever imagine, a dress from an old movie and a jacket from Ben’s closet, we read our own vows in the little chapel and gave one another the rings we’ll wear for the rest of our lives. The content included a video of Ben preparing for their nuptials inside the chapel’s pink bathroom.

‘And this was my wedding changing area!’ Ben, wearing a white suit, declared as he held the camera up to a scratched-up mirror.

Jennifer, however, had more luxurious accommodations. She wore a chic yet simple chic dress with her hair styled in waves as she got glammed up inside an elegant bathroom.

‘I feel amazing, excited,’ Jennifer said before doing several twirls in her dress.

The bride appeared to be wearing two different white dresses in her post – the sleeveless frock and a more traditional lace garment which flashed some cleavage. She tucked a veil into her cascading waves. 

The couple collectively known as ‘Bennifer’ obtained a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada on Saturday and exchanged vows in a ‘super small’ ceremony. 

Jennifer will also be taking Affleck’s last name. The Clark County Recorder’s Office shows the pop star will be changing her name to ‘Jennifer Affleck.’ The marriage certificate, however, has yet to be filed. 

Marriage officiants have 10 calendar days to submit the certificate to their office for filing, according to the Clark County Clerk’s Office. 

 

APPLE has released an important security update and has urged all iPhone owners to install it now.

Earlier this week, the tech giant released a new iOS update for iPhones and iPads: iOS 17.4.1 and iPadOS 17.4.

“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users,” Apple said.

Regarding the iPhone, the updates have been released for the iPhone XS and later.

iPads that could get the update include the “iPad Pro 12.9-inch 2nd generation and later, iPad Pro 10.5-inch, iPad Pro 11-inch 1st generation and later, iPad Air 3rd generation and later, iPad 6th generation and later, and iPad mini 5th generation and later,” Apple said.

To manually update your iPhone, first go to Settings and then tap General.

If you choose to update tonight, the installation will only start when the device is locked and the battery has sufficient power.

It’s always best to set updates to automatic, so make sure you enable that option at the top as well.

Paula Abdul cut a somber figure as she was seen stepping out a day after releasing texts between her and Nigel Lythgoe, amid claims that he sexually assaulted her.

The 61 year-old singer sported a casual ensemble as she left an office building in Century City on Thursday. 

The former American Idol judge wore a light grey long-sleeve top tucked into a pair of dark sweatpants. She completed her outfit with white sneakers, black sunglasses and a black clutch under her arm.

The busy star held a silver iPhone in her hand. Under her other arm she carried a large bottle of water.  

Her shoulder length tresses were parted in the middle and styled straight for the occasion.

A day prior Paula hit back at American Idol producer Nigel, accusing him of ‘vitriolic attacks’ on her character after he denies her claims that he sexually assaulted and harassed her.

In new court documents obtained by DailyMail.com, the singer shared several texts from Lythgoe in which he made risqué suggestions to her including, ‘Let’s gently make love before my drugs wear off’ and ‘Is a small grope of the a** asking too much?’

Abdul filed a lawsuit against Lythgoe, 74, in December, alleging sexual assault and battery on two separate occasions while she was working for him between 2002 and 2015. 

And earlier this month, the British reality TV mogul filed an answer, vehemently denying Abdul’s allegations, saying she was ‘untethered from reality’ and portrayed her as a drug abuser who used to ‘drool and pass out in audition rooms’ during her time on Idol.

Lythgoe’s March 5 response – filed the same day another unnamed woman sued him for sexual assault and battery – contained several affectionate texts and emails from Abdul that he claimed prove the two were actually close friends and ‘show how Abdul really felt about Lythgoe during and after the time she now alleges abuse occurred.’

Now, in her new court filing, Abdul is hitting back with a motion calling for most of Lythgoe’s 22-page answer to her lawsuit to be stricken from the case because his allegations against her are ‘immaterial, false and improper.’

Abdul’s lawyers illustrated Lythgoe’s ‘sexual harassment’ with their own slew of sexy texts he sent her. In one he says, ‘When you get back to LA, will you please make love to me…slowly and lovingly!’

In another, he writes, ‘I’ll come if you promise me a big wet kiss….with tongues!…Is a small grope of the a** asking too much?’

And in a third he writes, ‘Wanna come round and take off that beautiful dress, jump in the pool naked with me? Let’s cling to each other like we’re the last 2 people on Earth and gently make love before my drugs wear off? HaHa!’

Lythgoe’s response ‘is rife with argumentative and vitriolic character attacks on Ms. Abdul and superfluous background that are irrelevant to the sexual assault, battery and harassment claims pled by Ms. Abdul or the defenses asserted by Lythgoe,’ her attorneys state.

‘Lythgoe’s answer clearly is a blatant attempt to smear Ms. Abdul’s reputation and to cure the negative press he has received from now being sued by five separate women for sexual assault and battery.’

Calling Lythgoe’s filed response ‘false and misleading,’ the star’s attorneys accuse him of ‘cherry-picking’ the texts and emails he included in his answer ‘to suggest a friendly relationship while conveniently failing to include messages supporting Ms. Abdul’s claims that she was sexually assaulted and harassed by Lythgoe for years.’

Of Lythgoe’s claims that emails and texts from Abdul show the two were close friends, her attorneys argued, ‘Whether Ms. Abdul gave public praise or adoration to Lythgoe – an executive producer on two shows she worked on – or otherwise approached him with kindness and friendliness cannot negate her claims that Lythgoe sexually assaulted or abused her.

‘The fact that a victim was friendly to their abuser in situations unrelated to the alleged sexual assault and battery does not make the assault and battery any more or less likely to have occurred.

‘Indeed, there is substantial research showing it is common for a victim to respond too their abuser in such a manner.’

Abdul first alleged that she was ‘verbally insulted and belittled by Lythgoe’ during initial meetings to join American Idol in 2001.

She said that Nigel had told her ‘she was a has been celebrity and probably wouldn’t be known by the show’s contestants despite others believing she was exactly what they were looking for.’

The two-time Emmy winner had ‘grave reservations about appearing on the show and informed her representatives about such concerns’ but both she and her team hoped that the incident was only a ‘one-time’ occurrence.

Paula claimed in court documents that the first instance of sexual assault had happened during one of American Idol’s first seasons, while on the road for regional auditions.

‘One evening, following the day’s auditions, Lythgoe and Abdul entered the elevator of the hotel where they were staying,’ the legal docs read.

‘Upon entering the elevator, Lythgoe shoved Abdul against the wall, then grabbed her genitals and breasts, and began shoving his tongue down her throat.’

The lawsuit claims that the DWTS guest judge ‘attempted to push’ Nigel away and that she hurried to her room once the elevator doors opened. She immediately reached out to her reps to inform them of the incident.

The second alleged occurrence took place during a dinner held at the former dancer-choreographer’s house, after Paula had signed a contract to appear as a judge on SYTYCD in 2015 – the same year he was awarded the OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire).

Assuming the dinner was on a professional basis, Abdul attended the dinner. However, the Muppets Mayhem guest star claimed that at one point, while they were both sitting on a couch, Nigel had tried force himself on top of her.

Paula also stated in the documents that Lythgoe had also ‘attempted to kiss’ her while telling her that they would make an ‘excellent power couple.’ 

The lawsuit claims that Abdul, ‘pushed him off, explaining she was not interested in his advances, and immediately left.’

However, due to fear of ‘possible implications to her career,’ the Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers star chose to stay quiet on the incident.

In the documents, Paula additionally claimed that she had witnessed Nigel sexually assault one of her assistants.

The star is not only suing Nigel, but also 19 Entertainment and Fremantle Media North America.

‘Throughout her tenure on American Idol, Abdul not only was discriminated against in terms of compensation and benefits as compared to one of the show’s male judges and host (making nearly pennies to the dollar of what one of her male counterparts were making)…’ said her lawsuit.

‘But she was the target of constant taunts, bullying, humiliation, and harassment from Lythgoe and other executives, agents, employees, and/or representatives of the show’s producers, 19 Entertainment and Fremantle.’

In his answer to her lawsuit, Lythgoe calls Abdul a ‘well-documented fabulist, with a long history of telling wild stories that are untethered from reality and are primarily designed to attract attention and make Abdul appear to be the victim of dreadful misfortune.’

Among the online communications he included in his response was a September 12 2014 email from Abdul to him reading, in part: ‘Hi sweetheart — thank you for this lovely ‘gift.’ Please forgive me for not calling yesterday. Forever grateful to have you in my life! Love, love LOVE YOU! XO P.

Another, dated June 20, 2014, says: Thank you for the beautiful flowers — they were exquisite! But, I have to say the kicker was the birthday card last night. I am still howling! I truly appreciate our friendship and am looking forward to launching our project.’

The filing also included Abdul’s public tweets at his account, starting in 2009 and continuing through 2015 when they both worked on So You Think You Can Dance?

Lythgoe claimed the messages ‘show how Abdul really felt about Lythgoe during and after the time she now alleges abuse occurred.’

He said that he pushed for her to be hired on Idol and SYTYCD ‘despite the opposition from other executives due to Abdul’s already well-known erratic behavior.’

He also maintained that her alleged substance abuse issues caused concern for executives on Idol, alleging: ‘At her worst, Abdul was slurring her speech, unintelligible, drooling and passing out in audition rooms, having to be carried out on two separate occasions.

Abdul has previously revealed her past dependency on painkillers. In 2009 she revealed she had been reliant on them for 12 years.

Lythgoe asserted that her credibility has been called into question on a serious issue’, the plane crash she says she survived in 1992.

‘There are no records whatsoever of the supposed plane crash,’ he said. ‘In one interview Abdul explained that she was able to keep the story under wraps with NDAs and because ‘there was no internet at the time.’ In another interview, she explained that at the time of the crash, there were ‘no computers.”

Lythgoe is asking the court to dismiss Abdul’s lawsuit and he wants her to cover his attorney fees.

Paula notably appeared as one of the original judges on American Idol from 2002 through 2009. Nigel had been one of the executive producers on the hit show.

She later became a judge on the American version of So You Think You Can Dance alongside Lythgoe during the show’s 12th season, but made her exit shortly before season 14 to focus on her tour.

Abdul made the decision to finally come forward with the lawsuit due to California’s Sexual Abuse and Cover Up Accountability Act.

The law, which was officially passed earlier this year, offers a ‘three-year window for survivors of sexual assault to file a claim and recover damages as a result of crimes that occurred on or after January 1, 2009

From January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2026, sexual assault and abuse claims, which would otherwise be barred by the statute of limitations, will be revived and officially be eligible to be brought in civil court.

Justice officials said Thursday they are suing Apple, saying its devices and software constitute a monopoly and generate huge profits at the expense of customers.

“Every step in Apple’s course of action built and strengthened the moat around its smartphone monopoly,” the lawsuit said.

The U.S. Department of Justice and 15 states allege it used strong demand for its iPhone and other products to drive up prices and hurt smaller rivals in the first major antitrust effort against Apple.

Apple is said to be making it harder for competing messaging apps and smartwatches to work with iPhones.

Officials also say it has blocked access to its contactless technology that enables mobile payments – meaning iPhone owners can only use the Apple Pay service.

Meanwhile, App Store rules surrounding game streaming services have hurt competition.

Super apps are apps that combine multiple functions, such as calling, messaging and payments, in one place, making it easier to switch between smartphone platforms. They are common in China and include WeChat.

The Justice Department cited an email chain from Steve Jobs, the Apple co-founder who died in 2011, in which he said it “wasn’t nice to see” how easily consumers could switch from iPhones to Android phones and promised to protect developers ‘force’ its payment systems in an effort to capture both developers and consumers.

The case could drag on for years. If the DoJ wins or Apple makes concessions, Apple’s rivals will initially benefit.

But it would also mean better and cheaper apps and products made by third-party companies like Spotify or tracking gadget Tile.

“Consumers should not have to pay higher prices because companies violate antitrust laws,” Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a statement.

Garland said monopoly power is classified by the Supreme Court as “the power to control prices or exclude competition.”

He said: “As outlined in our complaint, Apple has that power in the smartphone market.

“If there’s no doubt about it. Apple will only continue to strengthen its smartphone monopoly.”

The Justice Department alleges that Apple uses its market power to get more money not just from consumers, but also from developers, content creators, artists, publishers, small businesses and merchants.

Shares of Apple are down 7 percent this year, while most of the stock market has soared to new highs.

It has led to longtime rival Microsoft – the target of a major Justice Department antitrust lawsuit a quarter-century ago – taking the title of the world’s most valuable company.

Apple is already subject to antitrust investigations and injunctions in Europe, Japan and Korea, as well as lawsuits from corporate rivals such as Epic Games.

One of Apple’s most lucrative businesses – the App Store, which charges developers commissions of up to 30 percent – ​​has already survived a lengthy legal challenge under US law by Epic.
