A SWISH mansion worth £3.5 million in Cheshire’s Golden Triangle is up for grabs as part of a new prize draw raising money for the charity named in honor of inspiring cancer campaigner Deborah James.

For just £10, one lucky winner will win the spectacular Omaze Million Pound House Draw, along with £100,000 in cash.

The eventual winner will receive the keys to a beautiful five-bedroom home in Prestbury, one of the most exclusive areas in the country.

But the fantastic draw is also aimed at raising £1 million for the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK, which has been set up to continue the work of bowel cancer sufferer and campaigner Deborah.

The mother-of-two and journalist was diagnosed with incurable bowel cancer in 2016 and subsequently presented the You, Me and the Big C podcast on BBC Radio 5 Live about her struggles with her disease, raising awareness of the disease.

Deborah sadly passed away in June 2022 at the age of just 40, but the charity lives on in her name.

Her mother, Heather James, said of the partnership: “Deborah’s awareness and fundraising made a huge difference to so many people’s lives.

“Through this partnership with Omaze, we hope to raise more money for the groundbreaking cancer research she was so passionate about and make a difference to the lives of many more people.”

The Omaze Million Pound House Draw in Cheshire is the company’s 25th house draw and returns to the site where the very first Omaze house was given away in 2020.

The property is mortgage free and all stamp duty and legal costs are covered.

The winner will also receive £100,000 in cash and can decide to live in the house, rent it out for additional income or sell it to become a cash multi-millionaire.

If the winner decides to rent it out, local agents estimate the property could reach a long-term rental value of £20,000 per month.

The house is located in Cheshire’s Golden Triangle, between Wilmslow, Alderley Edge and Prestbury – famous for being the home of football stars and celebrities.

And this prime level property has been carefully designed to provide a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary style.

The Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK aims to give more people more time with the people they love by funding ground-breaking research and raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer.

Mum Heather, 66, told The Sun: “I’m so excited – it’s guaranteed £1 million for Deborah’s Bowelbabe Fund.

“That’s an awful lot of money. I am very aware that we will never be able to generate the level of fundraising that Deborah did in the weeks before she died, so something like this is incredible.

“As a family, we are so proud of Deborah’s legacy, and it is an honor to continue what she started.

“She would be so excited if an Omaze house was dedicated to her Fund, she loved it and always entered the draws.

‘Her brother Ben thinks it’s a shame that he can’t win this house, he has a standing order every month.

“It’s such a beautiful home and it will be a wonderful opportunity for a family to enjoy new beginnings and new memories together.

“And that fits so well with the Bowelbabe Fund: more money is raised to finance more research to help save more lives.

“The money raised will ensure families like ours have the opportunity to make new memories with their loved ones.”

Heather highlighted her daughter’s fundraising spirit, adding: “I can just hear her now, I know she would say ‘let’s go ahead and get it to £3 million’.

“So I can’t help it… wouldn’t it be great if we could reach at least £2 million.”

Dame Deborah James died in June 2022 at the age of 40, five and a half years after she was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer.

At the time, the mother-of-two shared her experiences of living with incurable cancer with millions of people, giving a candid account in her Sun column Things Cancer Made Me Say.

She then launched the You, Me & The Big C podcast on the BBC and was a regular on Lorraine’s sofa, as well as writing two self-help books.

With only days to live in May 2022, Dame Debs launched her Bowelbabe Fund to fund vital research “to give one last f*** you to cancer, and give more Deborahs more time”.

The inspirational campaigner captured the hearts of the nation and smashed her £250,000 target in one day.

She was stunned when donations gained momentum, reaching £1 million within days.

When Debs died on June 28, the total amount was almost £7 million – more than her wildest dreams.

Knowing that one of the 40-year-old’s dying wishes was for it to reach £10 million, The Sun called on readers to donate in her memory.

Last April, her proud husband Sebastian revealed that the Fund had reached a whopping £11.3 million – and has since risen to £12.6 million.

In footage filmed just before she passed away, Dame Debs thanked the more than 330,000 people who donated.

“Every cent counts. I can’t thank you enough for your support.

“You’re amazing,” she said.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Seb revealed that the first £4 million would go towards funding five different projects in partnership with Cancer Research UK, The Institute of Cancer Research, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Bowel Cancer UK – all charities near Dame. The heart of Debs.

And earlier this month it was announced that a further £5 million will be spent to fund a new study that will help shed light on an alarming rise in bowel cancer rates among the over-50s.

This is the second time that Cancer Research UK has partnered with Omaze.

The first partnership in 2021 has raised £500,000 for the charity’s vital work, creating a world where everyone can live a longer, better life, free from the fear of cancer.

Omaze has guaranteed a minimum donation of £1 million from this partnership.

The 34-year-old NFL star – who is ‘nesting’ in the singer’s $25 million Beverly Hills mansion amid a career lull – could be seen smiling brightly as Bass draped his arm over the singer’s shoulders football player hit.

The NYSNC member, 44, uploaded the image to his Instagram Stories and typed: “Karma is the Chiefs man.”

Swift notably sang those lyrics when she changed part of the song, Karma, during her Eras Tour stop in Buenos Aires to reference her budding romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

From an alien theme to a one-of-a-kind pizza, a foodie has lifted the lid on what the most unique McDonald’s restaurants in America have to offer. 

Dylan Huynh from California set of on a McNugget filled adventure to visit five of the country’s wackiest outlets in a bid to rank which one is the ‘coolest McDonald’s ever.’ 

In a YouTube video documenting his trip, he starts his journey in Roswell, New Mexico, where he checks into a McDonald’s shaped like a UFO with ‘little alien statues’ installed outside.

Inside the restaurant, he says it ‘actually feels like you’re in a UFO’ with ‘metal plated walls’ and even an ‘astronaut Ronald McDonald’ hanging from the ceiling.

In terms of the food, Dylan didn’t find anything unusual, so he opted for a portion of 20 chicken McNuggets and a McFlurry. Both got his seal of approval. 

Before leaving, he snapped a photo with a ‘cool alien statue’ and bought something from the gift shop. 

Next up, Dylan heads to what he deems the ‘world’s fanciest McDonald’s.’

The colonial era McDonald’s, dubbed the McMansion, is set in a 19th-century former farmhouse in Hyde Park, New York. 

The classical building was saved from being knocked down by local activists and it was given landmark status.

In his YouTube video, Dylan reveals that it became a McDonald’s in 1991. 

As he opens the ‘fancy door’ and steps inside, he is shocked by the interiors with a ‘grand staircase leading up to the second floor’ and exposed wooden beams in the ceiling. 

He adds: ‘It literally feels like I’m inside someone’s house, a very rich person’s house.’

Along with a fancy door, he found ‘fancy lights, fancy windows, fancy plants, even the trash cans were fancy.’ 

While he was impressed by the regal interiors, Dylan wasn’t so enthused about the ambience. He found the restaurant seemed very empty, with ‘no kids’ and ‘just fancy looking old people.’

As he sits down he says: ‘I don’t know how to explain this but I feel very uncomfortable in this McDonald’s. I feel like I have to whisper.

‘I’m just going to go right out and say it. I am not having that much fun at this McDonald’s.’ 

After finishing a portion of chicken McNuggets, Dylan leaves the restaurant with the farewell message: ‘Goodbye world’s fanciest McDonald’s you are pretty to look at but very weird.’

The third stop on Dylan’s whirlwind tour is the world’s largest McDonald’s, which is located in Orlando, Florida.

The sprawling restaurant, which opened in 1975, has a floor area of more than 19,000ft and along with a restaurant, it has a 22ft tall play area and an arcade with more than 100 games. 

Dylan reveals that it is also ‘the only McDonald’s in the world that sells the McPasta and the McPizza.’

As he walks through the restaurant, he points out some woodfired pizza ovens and he even passes an aquarium.

In terms of his food order, Dylan goes to town and spends $64 on a spread of treats including ‘the usual chicken McNuggets,’ an Oreo McFlurry, the McPasta and the McPizza.

He says the colorful bowl of tortellini he orders is ‘a lot better’ than he expected and he adds that it ‘might be better than Olive Garden.’

The pizza also gets his seal of approval, despite the floppy base not filling him with high hopes. 

After having a fill and boxing the remnants up, Dylan heads to the arcade to play some games and he spends $120 on a gaming card. 

Lastly, he heads to the play area to test out the ‘infamous big yellow slide.’ 

Summing up the world’s largest McDonald’s he says: ‘This place is the exact opposite from the McMansion. The McMansion was dull, gray and quiet [but] this McDonald’s was very lively, very colorful and definitely not quiet.’

Continuing on his quest, Dylan visits the McDonald’s global headquarters in Chicago where they offer a global menu of their delicacies from around the world.

Before he orders, the food experts says his initial impression of the restaurant is that it is ‘very clean’ and ‘very modern,’ with ‘people wearing suits in the kitchen.’ 

When it comes to the HQ’s menu, Dylan explains that ‘since McDonald’s operates in over 118 countries, the global menu rotates every three months to highlight different locations.’

When he visits, he decides to order a ‘BBQ bacon stack’ burger from the UK, a ‘filet-o-shrimp’ burger from Japan and a salted caramel McFlurry with Oreo from Korea. 

Out of the three items, he deems the Korean invention the winner and he puts in a plea for it to come to the states. 

He concludes: ‘Even though McDonald’s started in America every other country has a better menu than the American one.’

Lastly, Dylan makes his way to the new restaurant CosMc, which is also located in Illinois. 

The brand – which launched in December 2023 and is named after McDonald’s alien mascot from the 1980s and early 1990s – offers a range of colorful slushes, iced teas and coffees with names such as the Sour Cherry Energy Burst and Turmeric Spiced Latte. 

Some old McDonald’s favorites also made the menu including its popular McMuffins.

As he nears the new concept restaurant Dylan says: ‘It’s technically a drive-thru… but from the pictures it looks very, very exciting.

‘According to the CosMc website their menu is supposed to be otherworldly and it’s designed to boost your mood into the stratosphere. I don’t even know what that means but I’m excited about it.’

He orders a s’mores cold brew which he deems ‘pretty nice,’ a portion of hash browns which he says is ‘nice’ but on the smaller side, and an Oreo McFlurry, which he says always takes him back to his childhood. 

Lastly he tests a drink, which he asked the drive-thru attendant to surprise him with. 

He tells viewers that it the ‘radioactive red’ drink features ‘popping boba’ beans in it and a lemon and as he tastes it he winces in response to its sour taste.

Following his epic journey across America, Dylan crowns the world’s biggest McDonald’s in Florida as the winning restaurant, with its unique restaurant-style dishes and big yellow slide.

Amal looked typically chic in her jeans, which she paired with flats, a tight black T-shirt and a leather jacket alongside stylish sunglasses.

George, meanwhile, rocked off-duty star style, complete with a dark polo shirt, padded jacket, light wash jeans and suede Chelsea boots.

Their appearance follows speculation that George and Amal have now moved permanently to the Cote d'Azur and no longer spend time at their Thames country house in Sonning, Berkshire.

The couple is said to have lived at the 18th century Domaine du Canadel for several months.

And according to locals, they haven't been seen in the Grade II listed building in Britain – which they bought in 2014 and spent millions renovating – for two years.

The Berkshire manor has endured a series of severe floods due to its proximity to the Thames.

It happened just under a year after heavy rain caused muddy water to flood the gardens – and marks at least the sixth time the house has been plagued by burst banks since the couple tore down the stately post in 2014.

The Clooneys were hit by flooding in January when the tennis court, veranda and most of the previously lush lawn were submerged by the filthy waters of the nearby river.

Storm Christoph saw water seeping onto the lawn in January 2021, but the deluge stopped close to the house itself.

But February 2020's Storm Dennis left the Hollywood star's tennis courts, his summer home's veranda and most of his lawn completely flooded.

In 2018, the lawn was flooded with water after two inches of rain fell over the April bank holiday weekend.

And in 2016 there was weeks of heavy rain, with the Thames overflowing its banks and flowing into the garden, threatening to invade the house shortly after its multi-million pound renovation.

Meanwhile, their idyllic French estate is surrounded by 25 hectares of vineyards and features a swimming pool, tennis court, pétanque court, olive grove and ornamental lake.

The Clooneys, who married in Venice six years ago, also have a luxury home on the shores of Lake Como in Italy.

George purchased Villa Oleandra from the Heinz family in 2002 and spends most summers at the property, which features a basketball court, movie theater and a garage full of vintage motorcycles.

It has hosted a range of stars including Jennifer Aniston and Matt Damon, as well as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

Parts of Clooney's film Ocean's Twelve were also filmed there. There were reports that Clooney would sell it, but he says these are untrue.

Nelson is not the first Saint Bernard the family has owned. Four years ago, George brought along puppy Rosie, named after his late aunt, actress and singer Rosemary Clooney.

He is also known for rescuing animals, who eventually travel the world with him. He previously owned cocker spaniel Einstein, who died in 2017, and the couple have since rescued basset hound Millie and Louie, another spaniel.

A multi-millionaire has revealed why giving up the lavish life and swapping her mansion for a van was the 'best decision' she ever made.

Caitlin Pyle, 36, from Orlando, Florida, once owned a large eight-story house, complete with 18 rooms, before she decided to give it all up to become a digital nomad and live on $30 a day.

After getting divorced in 2019 and selling her proofreading business for a whopping $4 million, she suffered a “breakdown” and decided to adopt a minimal lifestyle.

Now Caitlin is happier than ever after giving up her designer goods and expensive living situation to travel the world in her Mercedes Sprinter van, which has a full kitchen and solar panels.

Caitlin built a successful proofreading business in her 20s and early 30s, earning $100,000 in her first year.

At age 31, she was making $4 million a year, which allowed her to buy a 400,000-square-foot house in Florida with her ex.

Caitlin and her husband separated after eight years of marriage, and their divorce was finalized in April 2019.

She sold her business for $4 million and had to dip into her 'nest egg' to pay off her bills, with $180,000 in maintenance costs for the mansion as she was the sole owner of the property.

Caitlin says money worries, her divorce and having to independently maintain a country house left her feeling depressed and burned out, and she soon had a nervous breakdown.

'Taking care of the household became a full-time job. We built it for us as a couple, we looked forward to entertaining people and maintaining it together. But because I was in it all alone, I was completely swallowed up,” she explained.

'It was always something: you needed someone to maintain the lawn, but that man canceled at the last minute, or your mailbox was piling up and you couldn't bring yourself to sort it.

“I was trying to pay my bills and had my savings as a last resort. I had a total breakdown. Now I had too much freedom and the emotional intensity had not disappeared.'

She felt an overwhelming amount of fatigue and never had any energy. She finally went to her doctor and he diagnosed her with chronic stress and burnout.

She was told her brain needed a break and some 'TLC (tender loving care)' in the form of exercise, healthy food and rest – so she decided to spend four years in recovery and set up a new remote business as a life coach in the meantime.

“My brain and body just ran out of resources. “I had to rest, eat right and strengthen my immune system – the stress was so exhausting,” she recalls.

“I started doing these daily affirmations to help with my financial situation, manifesting abundance and trying to figure out what sacrifices I could make.

“I had been watching a lot of van transformation videos and I decided, maybe I could live and travel in one for a while.”

So Caitlin decided to pull the trigger and ended up buying a Mercedes Sprinter for $88,000, before spending $120,000 on renovations – including a custom kitchen with a full-size fridge, juicer and blender.

It took four months to get her dream van ready, and she still had to deal with her house, so she hired an assistant to take some of the stress off herself.

After her van was finished, she started renting out her house for $25,000 a month, and focused on her new life on the road.

She has now traveled to eight states and spends her days taking on new adventures.

'I set out on the 'land yacht', as I like to call it. I've traveled to Alabama, Florida, Nashville, and even stayed in my mom's backyard for a few nights.

'I've met so many interesting people both on the road and through dating apps – I once dated a guy called Jeff who lives in a yurt. We are still friends now and we go mountain climbing together.

'I like to drive for three to four hours at a time, then I usually park with friends. I exercise, take a shower, use their WiFi for a while to do some work.

“Then I'll leave the next morning.”

Caitlin has even mastered finding the best parking spots using a camping app and has started using picnic tables as makeshift office spaces, as well as solar panels for Wi-Fi.

Although she's been on the road for six months so far, Caitlin has no plans to return home anytime soon.

Caitlin, who now works as a life coach, said: 'I went from living alone in a big, empty house to traveling full-time.'

However, despite the drastic change, she said she was much happier this way.

'This way of life suits me much better. “I used to take several expensive vacations a year, but that wasn't sustainable,” she said.

“Now I live on twenty to thirty dollars a night, and I'm living the life I've always wanted to live. My life feels like a choose-your-own adventure. I do all this to please my inner child. I love traveling – and this is the best decision I've ever made.

'I have become so much more confident, I have made new friends and even gone on dates.

'Life is about growth – and I believe that's what I do.'

An ABANDONED 'haunted house' bigger than Buckingham Palace is left to rot as locals clash with its millionaire owner.

The creepy one Hamilton Palace sits as a derelict building on the lush Sussex farmlands after it was abandoned.

The enormous house is owned by multi-millionaire Nicholas van Hoogstraten, who said it was built to last 2,000 years.

But the rotting exterior shows that it will never be finished at all.

What should have been one of the most spectacular properties in the country is now a sorry sight.

The incredible estate is reportedly bigger than Buckingham Palace.

Built in 1995, the lavish home is hidden away at a junction on the A22 south of Uckfield in East Sussex.

The gated entrance to the estate is covered in mud and a sign reads “High Cross Estate, Private Property, Keep Out” in capital letters.

It features a grand central staircase and a lobby with lift shafts and lavish stone balustrades and pillars.

The roof has low lighting and a garden space for a fountain below.

As if that weren't enough, an entire floor would house Van Hoogstraten's art collection.

The half-finished house gained such a bad reputation in East Sussex that it was dubbed “The Ghost House of Sussex” by locals.

Neighbors previously complained about the grotesque condition of the area.

But the owner attacked the locals and called them 'peasants'.

He said: “Even the most idiotic peasants could see… that we have been busy preparing the palace grounds in preparation for planned works.”

Hoogstraten was also suggested to give up his neoclassical building to house the homeless.

Neighbor Richard Baxter said: “With all the housing issues we have this country The building can certainly be put to good use. It's a shame that it's just going to get ruined.” The mirror reported.

In a hate-filled tirade, the owner responded: “The 'homeless' – the majority of whom do so out of choice or sheer laziness – are one of the dirtiest burdens on the public purse today.

“The likelihood of me offering them the opportunity to occupy Hamilton Palace is simply ridiculous.

“Similarly, it is ridiculous that I harbor these Muslim 'migrants' and encourage their siege of our country and the unwarranted plunder of its resources. We must remove them all.”

He also denied that the house was falling apart.

“Far from 'crumbling', Hamilton Palace was built to last at least 2,000 years. The scaffolding only remains in place as part of the ongoing routine maintenance that such a property requires until completion,” he added.

The embarrassed businessman made his fortune as a slum owner rent properties that are in poor condition to desperate tenants.

But he became infamous after the gruesome murder of his gang members company rival Mohammed Raja – executed on Hoogstraten's orders.

Raja was murdered in 1999 at his south London home, where he was stabbed five times before being shot in the head.

Hoogstraten was sentenced to ten years in prison after being found guilty of manslaughter, but his sentence was later overturned.

A judge awarded Raja's family £6 million in damages, with the callous Hoogstraten insisting they “won't see a cent”.

Another High Court judge ordered him to pay £1.5 million in legal costs to the family in 2016, but these have still not been paid.

Hoogstraten claims he now has “no assets at all in Britain” and cannot pay the damages. He claims his empire has been broken up and is now owned by his five children.

Hamilton Palace is now believed to be owned by Messina Investments, which is run by his four eldest children: Maximilian, 30, Alexander, 28, Britannia, 25, and Louis, 25.
