A Vermont driver who killed actor Treat Williams in a car crash has avoided jail after pleading guilty to a reduced charge at the request of the victim’s family.

Ryan Koss received a one-year deferred sentence, had his driver’s license revoked for one year and must complete a community restorative justice program.

Koss, 35, killed Williams, 71, after crashing his SUV into the victim’s motorcycle on the motorway in Dorset on June 12 last year.

“I am here to apologize and take responsibility for this tragic accident,” Koss said during an emotional hearing on Friday, where he also offered his condolences to Williams’ family and fans.

“I forgive you, and I hope you forgive yourself,” said Williams’ son Gill Williams, 32, as he addressed Koss in court and told him the family did not want to press charges or see him jailed.

But he also added, “I really wish you hadn’t killed my father.” I really had to say that.’

Koss, who worked as managing creative director of the Dorset Theater Festival in Vermont, had known Williams for years through his work and considered him a friend.

After the crash, he called Williams’ wife to tell her what happened and took responsibility for what happened, County Attorney Erica Marthage said.

Gill Williams said his father was “everything” to their family and was an extraordinary person who lived life to the fullest, and it is now difficult to figure out how to move on.

“It’s very difficult for this to happen because of someone’s negligence,” he said, urging people to take driving much more seriously and keep an eye out for motorcycles.

Statements from Williams’ wife, Pam, and his daughter, neither of whom attended the court hearing, were read out.

Pam Williams said in her statement that it was a tragic accident and that she hopes Koss can forgive himself.

“Our lives will never be the same, our family is torn apart and there is a huge hole that will be impossible to fill,” Pam Williams wrote in her statement.

Daughter Ellie Williams wrote in her statement that she was too angry and hurt at the time to forgive Koss, but hopes she will do so in the future.

An eyewitness told DailyMail.com that Koss collided with the motorcycle, causing Williams to fly off his bike.

Williams’ nearly 50-year career included starring roles in the TV series “Everwood” and the film “Hair.”

Ian Ziering spoke out after being involved in a brawl with several bikers on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles.

“Yesterday I witnessed an alarming incident involving a group of individuals on mini bikes,” said the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, 59, wrote via Instagram on Monday January 1. “While stuck in traffic, my car was aggressively approached by one of these drivers, leading to a disturbing confrontation. In an attempt to assess any damage, I got out of my car. This action unfortunately escalated into a physical altercation, which I navigated to protect myself.”

A video of the incident obtained by TMZ, showed Ziering in an altercation with several people riding motorized minibikes on Hollywood Boulevard on Sunday, December 31. He explained that his daughter Mia, 12, was in the car with him at the time, but both were unharmed. (Ziering shares Mia and daughter Penna, 10, with ex-wife Erin Ludwig.)

“I am relieved to report that my daughter and I are both completely unharmed, but the incident has left me deeply concerned about the growing audacity of such groups to disrupt public safety and peace,” Ziering explained in his message.

He continued: “This situation highlights a wider problem of hooliganism on our streets and the need for effective law enforcement responses to such behaviour. As a citizen and parent, I find it unacceptable that groups can freely engage in this type of behavior, causing fear and chaos, while the authorities’ response appears inadequate.”

Wan declined to comment to publication, but a DC spokesperson refuted the claims, saying: “James is known for treating members of his cast and crew with the utmost respect and fostering a positive, collaborative environment on set – the Aquaman films were no exception. .’

Sources further claimed in the publication that Heard was almost kicked out of the sequel by Wan and the studio due to a “lack of chemistry” with Momoa — but her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk saved her job.

It was claimed that a letter was sent to her lawyer Karl Austen informing Heard of the decision following Aquaman’s release in 2018 – and that Momoa had played no role in the decision to fire her.

Another source claimed that Heard did a chemistry test with Momoa before landing the role in the first film, beating out actresses including Abbey Lee.

Heard’s ex-boyfriend and Tesla billionaire Musk, 52, reportedly sent one of his trial lawyers a “scorched earth letter” to Warner Bros. threatened to burn the house down’ if Heard was not brought back for the sequel, a source claimed.

Warner Bros. then withdrew and kept Heard on board. Representatives from Warner Bros. and Elon Musk have been contacted for comment by DailyMail.com.

Musk first met Heard in 2012 when the actress was filming Machete Kills in Los Angeles, at a time when the star was in a tumultuous relationship with Depp.

When that marriage ended amid allegations of domestic violence, Heard quietly began spending more time with the South African-born billionaire before eventually confirming their status just months after the ink was dry on her divorce from Depp.

The couple dated for 12 months between 2017 and 2018, with Musk visiting her on the set of Aquaman in Australia. In February 2018, they finally called it quits for good.

It was also claimed that “at least” two scenes featuring Heard were cut from the sequel: an action scene in which Mera fights Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) and a love scene with Momoa, insiders familiar with the production claimed.

In July, Heard broke her silence about returning to the role of Mera in the Aquaman sequel.

The actress, who reportedly earned $2 million for her role in the first film, said she was “honored” to return to the DC Extended Universe, but admitted there was “a lot of pressure.”

The actor had received the two-wheeler as a gift from a Sony Pictures executive for his work on the 2022 film Bullet Train, which also starred Joey King.

The Troy actor recently picked up the BMW Bobber bike in person from Roughchild Motorcycles in Los Angeles.

A source revealed that the bike was a gift to Brad from Sony Pictures as a thank you for his performance in Bullet Train.
