GOOGLE is reportedly eyeing the upcoming Pixel 9 launch to unveil a new, life-saving feature that will make Android devices trackable even when they’re turned off.

If you thought this concept sounds familiar, it does: Apple’s iPhones have had access to this feature in the Find My app for years.

Google has its own Find My Device service, which can help you find a lost Android phone.

But the company has been working on upgrading its own Find MY Device feature since August last year.

This feature allows your phone to be located even when it is turned off.

Mishaal Rahman

Last summer, Google announced that Android owners will soon be able to use Bluetooth and offline services to locate phones.

But both features have yet to appear on Pixel devices.

And the tech giant has remained tight-lipped on an official launch date.

However, trusted Android source Mishaal Rahman has noted that Google could roll out the feature alongside its Pixel 9 handset in October.

Rahman added that the feature will be available to Pixel 8 owners once it arrives.

“I have good news for Pixel 8 owners: your phone should support Android’s Powered Off Finding feature when Google’s Find My Device network launches,” he wrote in an after.

“This feature allows your phone to be located even when it is turned off.”

Google reveals list of freebies you can claim today and lets Gemini AI text for you first – drivers should check this too

It combats every thief’s first job: disabling the device to prevent tracking.

“Finally,” said the spectator tweeted in response to the new feature.

Another added: “This is a great feature, especially if the phone is stolen.”

Although it appears that only Pixel 8 and 9 owners will be protected by the feature.

Rahman added: “Unfortunately, it appears that neither the Pixel 7 Pro nor the Pixel Fold currently support this feature.”

How to set up Find My Device on Android

First of all, you need to grab your Android phone and go through this list:

  • Make sure it is enabled
  • Sign in to your Google account
  • Connect to mobile data or WiFi
  • Enable location
  • Turn on Find My Device

To enable Find My Device, go to the Settings app.

Then tap Security > Find my device, or Security and locationor Googling > Security.

Now switch Find My Device to the “on” position.

If you use your lost phone for two-step verification, you will also need a backup phone or backup code.

If you don’t meet these requirements, Find My Device won’t work correctly.

A childhood favorite is back on B&M shelves after 20 years – and shoppers are delighted.

Malted drinks retailer Horlicks brought back its popular ‘malt tablets’ last year, but customers are only just discovering them.

Horlicks have brought back their chewable tablets

The tablets were originally launched in the 1930s and were supplied to British and American troops as energy-boosting treats during World War II.

They were last available around the turn of the century, but were popular among fans in the 1980s.

The malted beverage company reportedly said it has brought back the candies “in response to unprecedented demand from consumers across the country.”

And it seems like it was the right decision as Facebook users are raving about the treat and some are even experiencing a wave of nostalgia.

“I need these!”, one wrote, “I love them so much. When I find them I’ll clear the shelf,” said another.

A third added: “I had these when I was little after swimming.. wow I have to go get some.”

Even consumer champion Martin Lewis is a fan, joining a group calling for their return.

He posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I was just craving Horlicks tablets.

‘I haven’t had one in twenty years. I don’t think they exist anymore. Does anyone know?’

Other fans said: “If I am Prime Minister – and according to recent evidence anyone could be – Horlicks tablets will be distributed to all households.”

Another wrote: “I miss Horlicks tablets!!!”

A third posted: “I’m still sad they’ve stopped the Horlicks tablets.”

While a fourth said on Facebook: “We would buy them in bottles! We miss these SO much!!!!! PLEASE please make them again!”

And a fifth wrote: “We used to buy them from the pharmacy as a kid, miss them and still have a teaspoon from a jar of Horlicks every now and then, please return them.”

The treats were originally marketed as an energy booster and were found in pharmacies with products including Lucozade tablets.

But many seem to have enjoyed them as a malty sweet, with some comparing them to the inside of a Malteser.

Shoppers will soon be able to pick up the tablets at discount chain B&M.

They will be launched in all B&M stores next week. You can find the nearest one using the store locator on the website.

The tablets are said to have “the delicious, malty taste and texture of the original.”

They even come complete with all-new, modernized cans. You can buy a pack of 20 tins for £1.75.

Horlicks isn’t the only chain to bring back old favorites recently.

Shoppers are rushing to supermarkets to get their hands on a ‘discontinued’ fan favorite from Nestle that has been spotted on store shelves.

Nestle’s KitKat ice cream tray has been spotted on the shelves of Farmfoods.

Fox’s has brought back its seasonal sticky toffee pudding Crunch creams and shoppers are happy about it.

Lucozade fans literally couldn’t wait to discover a favorite flavor disappearing from supermarket shelves.

The soft drink company’s popular Caribbean Crush was temporarily discontinued last December after problems with the bottle supplier.

Cadbury has brought back a discontinued product that last hit supermarket shelves a decade ago and shoppers are going wild.

Food fans were devastated when the company stopped distributing Christmas chocolate tokens in 2014.

Earlier this year, Home Bargains shoppers rushed to buy a bag of classic ’90s candies, including a discontinued ‘staple’.

The discount store is now stocking a mixed bag of Barratt’s favorite lollipops, including the discontinued Frosties flavour.

Meanwhile, B&M shoppers are excited about a new ‘heavenly’ McVities biscuit flavor hitting shelves.

Plus, Cadbury fans are “obsessed” with a new chocolate bar launching in Britain in December.

An Air Force officer who set himself on fire outside the Israeli embassy in DC in protest against the war in Gaza has died in the hospital

Aaron Bushnell, 25, was an ‘aspiring engineer’ and seeking to ‘transition out of the military.’ The US Air Force confirmed on Monday that he succumbed to his injuries overnight.

He was hospitalized in critical condition on Sunday after he doused himself in accelerant and struck a lighter, causing his body to become consumed by flames. DC Fire and EMS said he sustained ‘life-threatening injuries’.

Horrific video of the incident showed Bushnell explaining the reasons for his ‘extreme act of protest’ while he walked up to the building and screamed ‘Free Palestine’ – as his body went up in flames.

The fire burned for more than a minute before police and security staff managed to extinguish it.

Aaron Bushnell was a DevOps engineer based in San Antonio, Texas, according to his LinkedIn

The active-duty airman was a DevOps engineer based in San Antonio, Texas, according to his LinkedIn profile. He touted himself having ‘very good communication skills’ and ‘thriving in team environments’.

Bushnell was pursuing his bachelor’s degree in computer software engineering and is CompTIA Security+ certified, a credential that indicates he has the baseline skills to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career.

He had apparent links to at least two anarchist groups, Burning River Anarchist Collective and Mutual Aid Street Solidarity – both of which are based in Ohio. Bushnell followed the groups on Facebook.

He was seemingly raised in a devout Christian family and even worked for Paraclete Press, a Christian book and music publisher based in Massachusetts where his mother still works, according to the company’s website. His father owns a construction company.

During his youth, Bushnell also performed in a local indoor marching band called Spirit Winter Percussion.

Video shows how Bushnell approached the heavily-guarded Israeli embassy on DC’s International Drive just before 1pm on Sunday. He was in combat uniform and speaking into a camera on a selfie-stick.

‘My name is Aaron Bushnell,’ he told the camera, ‘I am an active duty member of the United States Air Force and I will no longer be complicit in genocide.

‘I am about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all.

‘This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.’

For more than 30 seconds he walked on silently, passing the neighboring Chinese embassy and holding an open flask of liquid in his left hand.

As he reached the embassy, he placed the camera on the ground and marched to the gate, showering himself in the fluid before placing his service cap on his head.

Tossing the flask away, Bushnell struggled to ignite his lighter as a voice is heard challenging him.

His camera recorded an unseen man asking ‘Hi sir, can I help you?’ as he approached the embassy gates.

Twelve seconds later the voice is heard asking again ‘Can I help you, sir?’ before Bushnell struck a lighter and ignited the fluid.

Dailymail.com has chosen not to show the subsequent footage which recorded Bushnell being consumed by flames for more than a minute before police and security staff managed to extinguish them.

The video shows the flames spreading all over his body, engulfing his head as he continues to scream ‘Free Palestine’, his voice cracking in agony as the flames intensify. He managed to stand for almost a minute before falling to the ground.

Sirens were already wailing in the background and a man in plain clothes pointed a pistol at him as others doused him with fire extinguishers.

He was taken to hospital by DC Fire and EMS with ‘critical and life-threatening injuries’.

Sunday morning, before he headed to the embassy, Bushnell seemingly promoted his act of protest on Facebook, sharing a link to his LillyAnarKitty twitch account, where he live-streamed the demonstration.

‘Many of us like to ask ourselves, “What would I do if I was alive during slavery? Or the Jim Crow South? Or apartheid? What would I do if my country was committing genocide?”‘ Bushnell wrote. ‘The answer is, you’re doing it. Right now.’

The video was only seen by a few dozen people on Twitch before it was removed by the platform, however it has since been viewed by over one million people on X.

Bushnell described himself on LinkedIn as an ‘aspiring software engineer’ with a ‘passion for solving complex problems with code’.

Highlighting his educational and work experience in software development and Linux system administration, Bushnell said he was looking to ‘transition out of the US Air Force into software engineering’.

He praised his military successes, claiming that he has been ‘commended by senior leaders for my ability to explain complex technical matters’.

‘Throughout my time in the military in both leadership and followership roles, as well as prior work experience in a variety of civilian roles, I have thrived in team environments and gained very good communication skills,’ he said.

Bushnell said he could bring those ‘skills to the table in any role’, but noted he was ‘truly passionate about writing software ‘and ‘can’t wait to help drive innovation in the civilian world’.

It is understood that the airman was pursuing his undergraduate degree in computer software engineering, however it is unclear where he was studying.

His biography states: ‘I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Western Governor’s University, and have taken several supplementary classes in software development outside of college.’

However, Bushnell’s educational history does not list the Utah based university and instead lists Southern New Hampshire University as his current place of study. His profile indicates he enrolled at the school in May 2022 and was expected to graduate in May 2025.

His LinkedIn profile also states he attended the University of Maryland Global Campus from January to November 2023.

Bushnell has reportedly been a member of the Air Force since May 2020, when he began basic training. His profile states that he ‘graduated top of flight and top of class’ in November that year.

He says he trained as a Client Systems Technician and had ‘hands-on experience in troubleshooting, building, and repairing computer information systems’. He also trained in cyber security, earning his CompTIA Security+ certification.

He was stationed in Texas in December 2020 and worked in IT infrastructure monitoring and oversight. He was promoted to DevOps engineer in March 2023.

Prior to his military service, Bushnell worked in IT and web development at Paraclete Press in Brewster, Massachusetts for two years. He helped supported the Christian publisher with IT functions and maintained its e-commerce website.

His mother Danielle is the Purchaser and Contracts Administrator at Paraclete Press. She has been ‘beyond blessed to be a part of carrying out the mission’ of the organization for ’27 years and counting’, the firm’s website states.

His father David is a carpenter and owns Bushnell Construction, according to his own LinkedIn profile. The business operates out of Orleans, Massachusetts where David and Danielle moved in 1994 with their two sons.

Bushnell and his brother Sean were both members of the percussion ensemble Spirit Winter Percussion – also based in Orleans. The brothers appeared to compete with the marching band and even earned silver medals at a contest in 2018.

The family also appears to have strong ties to their faith, with David even linking himself on Facebook to several religious organizations, including the Community of Jesus church in Orleans. The church was previously characterized by CBC Radio Canada as a ‘mysterious and abusive Christian cult’.

Bushnell also follows several religious Facebook pages. He also follows Ohio-based nonprofits that appear to promote anarchy and the Kent State University (KSU) Students for Justice in Palestine group. There is no obvious indication that Bushnell is directly connected to KSU.

A spokesperson for the US Air Force confirmed on Sunday that Bushnell is an active-duty airman.

A spokesperson from the Secret Service told DailyMail.com: ‘The US Secret Service, Uniformed Division responded to the 3400 Block of International Drive, NW, DC regarding an individual that was experiencing a possible medical / mental health emergency.’

The Metropolitan Police Department’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal was called to the scene on Sunday in reference to a suspicious vehicle that may be connected to the person.

The Israeli embassy released a statement after the incident, reading: ‘On Sunday, 2/25, at around 1 PM, a man set himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington and was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

‘No Embassy staff were injured and are safe.’

A similar incident occurred in December when a pro-Palestine protestor set themselves ablaze outside the Israeli consulate in Atlanta.

The city’s police chief, Darin Schierbaum, described the incident as an ‘extreme act of political protest,’ and said a Palestinian flag was recovered from the scene.

At least two people were injured in the act of self-immolation, including a security guard who attempted to intervene.

Bushnell’s protest came as the White House faces growing pressure over the four-and-a-half month old conflict which has claimed more than 30,000 lives.

Democrat ‘Squad’ member Rep Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and former Jewish Rep Andy Levin are among those who have endorsed the ‘Listen to Michigan’ campaign.

‘Biden’s blockade of the cease-fire resolution will only intensify the outrage and galvanize pro-peace voices to vote ‘uncommitted’ to make their voices heard,’ said campaign leader Joseph Geevarghese.

Dearborn’s Democrat Mayor Abdullah Hammoud warned this week Biden could no longer take the Arab vote for granted.

‘My greatest fear is that Mr Biden will not be remembered as the president who saved American democracy in 2020 but rather as the president who sacrificed it for Benjamin Netanyahu in 2024,’ he said.

Meetings between Warner Brothers and JK Rowling can be filled with shouting and tears, it is claimed, as bosses at the entertainment giant brand the author their biggest asset.

The British writer, who wrote all seven volumes of the famous wizard series that sold millions and inspired eight blockbuster films, wields an immense amount of control over the series’ future. She sold the rights to Warner Bros. early in her career – but with clauses that give her considerable clout over how Harry Potter is portrayed on-screen.

What Rowling calls ‘Ministry of Magic’ meetings with execs can became deeply emotional, according to the Wall Street Journal. Some of the twice-yearly conferences have reportedly resulted in tears and a ‘screaming match’, according to the paper.

The Journal did not say who allegedly got upset, or why. Rowling is said to show exceptional concentration and focus during such meetings and does not look near her phone at all during them.

She also focuses on the smallest details of her empire, once allegedly asking why chocolate sold at the Harry Potter theme park in Orlando was not fair trade. She is said to have taken a dim view of Harry Potter mobile phone games, fearing youngsters would feel pressured into buying add-ons for them.

Rowling is also said to have threatened to boycott Warner Bros. during tenser encounters with executives, who are currently planning to create a lavish TV series based on the Harry Potter novels.

Warner Brothers boss David Zaslav set up meetings with Harry Potter creator JK Rowling in an attempt to get her on board with a future that the studio wants to heavily involve Hogwarts

Zaslav – the controversial CEO of Warner Brothers – reportedly told Rowling at one of their meetings that she is a big part of his ambitions for the studio going forward

Nonetheless – the continued popularity of all things Harry Potter mean she’s considered the jewel in Warner’s entertainment crown and is reportedly referred to as an A+ asset.

The only other two stars in the same firmament are said to be Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg. But Rowling, 58, is seen as Warner Bros. key hope for future success, due to 93 year-old Eastwood’s age and Spielberg’s recent work with other studios.

Rowling is also said to have considered her legacy with her Warner Bros. contract, with a representative appointed on behalf of her estate likely to exert similar control over the Harry Potter universe when its author dies.

Entertainment analysts credit her continued heavy involvement with the Harry Potter series as the reason for its continued prestige and popularity.

They point to a glut of poorly-received Star Wars spin-offs made after George Lucas sold the series as evidence of what can happen when a creator sells-out and a once beloved franchise is spread too thinly.

The self-made author – who Nasdaq reports is worth $1 billion – began writing the Harry Potter series during the early 1990s while she was a single mother living on welfare.

Rowling is pictured in London in November 2001 with Rupert Grint (L), Daniel Radcliffe (C) and Emma Watson (R) – the stars of the Harry Potter movies. All three have since distanced themselves from Rowling over her stance on transgender issues

She has been credited with turning a generation of children onto reading, paying the top rate of tax in her native UK and for being exceptionally generous with charitable donations.

But in recent years Rowling has become a controversial figure over her views on transgender rights. She has said she believes that trans women should not have access to some female-only spaces or be able to compete against biological women in sports.

Rowling has also spoken out in support of others who’ve been canceled for sharing such views and spoken of her own sexual assault as evidence of why female-only spaces are so important.

The controversy saw the stars of her movie franchise – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint – all distance themselves from her.

Rowling was notably absent from a 2022 Warner Bros. special commemorating the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter film’s release.

That sparked speculation of a rupture with Warner Bros. top brass, but insiders insist nothing could be further from the truth.

CEO David Zaslav flew to Edinburgh in Scotland to meet with Rowling on being appointed to the top job in April 2022.

He and his team hope to turn the Harry Potter books into a lavish TV series that could be the most expensive ever produced and create a whole new generation of viewers for the fantasy series.

Zaslav attempted to bond with Rowling – few in the WB universe had her ear prior to his takeover – by discussing their childhoods and families in London as he attempts to ‘breathe new life’ into her beloved book series, according to WSJ

On an earnings call held Friday, the executive said Max is aiming to debut the new show in the first quarter of 2026, Variety reported.  It is rumored to have a budget of $250 million, making it the most expensive TV program ever made.

The CEO confirmed on that call that he and a delegation of Warner execs had met with Rowling just weeks earlier.

Rowling is known to be deeply protective of the franchise, notoriously holding biannual ‘Ministry of Magic’ meetings where she talks to executives – who spend weeks preparing ideas – about what the universe can and can’t do for the future.

She was also granted veto over any ‘non-author written sequels’ to the series in film and TV that has likely slowed the upcoming series by several years.

In interviews during the film series’ early days, she’d even publicly told CBS her disdain for action figures, eventually a huge part of the studio’s sales strategy.

At the beginning of the films, Rowling had signed a deal that had give WB much more control but by the 2010s, she’d negotiated a larger cut from merchandise sales to an ‘understanding’ that she and her associates get a say on who manages the franchise for the studio.

In recent years, she had become much more distant from the studio. The few who are close to her show-off by calling her Jo (Rowling’s first name is Joanne).

Rowling’s point person and one of her few remaining connections to Warners was Neil Blair, her primary business partner. He had helped write her first contract with the studio as one of WB’s lawyers.

POKÉMON Day is just around the corner and people can't wait for the upcoming Pokémon announcements.

There are plenty of rumors going around about what will be shown, although nothing is certain yet.

1

A new Detective Pikachu movie could be on the wayCredit: The Pokémon Company

Nevertheless, as Pokémon experts, we have made some predictions about what will be shown.

Here's what we think will appear in the February 2024 Pokémon Presents.

Live Service Updates – Pokémon Presents

Each Pokémon Presents starts with a number of updates and events for the live service games.

These announcements usually include free in-game items, upcoming events, and other new additions.

We expect updates for Pokémon Café Remix, Pokémon Unite, Pokémon Masters EX, Pokémon Go, Pokémon Sleep and possibly TCG Live.

The live service announcements aren't usually groundbreaking, but they are welcome updates for players.

Worlds Reveals – Pokémon Presents

This year the Pokémon World Championships will take place in Honolulu, Hawaii, but we've only seen a short teaser for the event.

The championships hold competitive tournaments for Pokémon Go, Pokémon TCG, Pokémon Unite, and Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

We'll likely see the exact dates for the event, as well as some more information about what's to come.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Events – Pokémon Gifts

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is the first mainstream Pokémon game to include live service elements, and they have been extremely successful.

With regular Mystery Gift giveaways and tera-raid events, we'll likely see some of these announcements during Pokémon Presents.

There was a big Mewtwo event held last year, but we haven't heard anything big yet this year.

However, a new seven-star Tera Raid announcement is expected, and perhaps some Mystery Gifts.

Pokémon Movies – Pokémon Presents

After the success of Detective Pikachu and the Super Mario Bros. movie, we think another Pokémon movie is probably in the offing.

A sequel to the original Detective Pikachu game was released last year, so Detective Pikachu Returns is a likely candidate for a movie.

Pokémon regularly released animated films, but we haven't had any since 2020, so this is another possible reveal.

We also expect announcements of Pokémon TV shows and short films and series.

Older Pokémon games on Switch – Pokémon Presents

This one is less likely, but we still think there will be some announcement about this during the Presents.

The teaser for the event featured music from Pokémon Red and Blue, and these games are rumored to be coming to Switch.

We're not sure if these will be standalone games that you can purchase or if they will be added to Nintendo Switch Online for free.

However, players have been asking for Red and Blue to make a comeback on Switch and it would be a welcome revelation.

Top Pokémon Games – Pokémon Presents

We don't think any regular Pokémon games will be revealed during Pokémon Presents, as the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC has only just been released.

However, if one is announced, we have a few ideas about what could be in the works.

Signs point to a game involving Johto or Unova, thanks to some new Johto evolutions and regional forms, and the inclusion of Unova in Scarlet & Violet.

These will likely be Let's Go games or Legends games aimed at both regions.

There is a possibility of Unova remakes, but we think this is less likely, especially soon after the release of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

If you want to read more about Pokémon, find out how to watch the Pokémon Presents.

Melbourne's highly anticipated St Jerome's Laneway Festival kicked off with a bang on Saturday as Stormzy, Angus Stone and Steve Lacy all took to the stage.

The trio attracted huge crowds to their sets and wowed fans with their incredible performances during the hot music celebration.

Stormzy, 30, born Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., dominated with some of his biggest hip-hop hits in recent years.

The Shut Up hitmaker gained attention in the UK underground music scene in 2014 with his Wicked Skengman series of freestyles set to classic grime beats.

Now, the singer-songwriter takes the stage in a simple black tank top and sweatpants as he brought a strong energy to his performance this weekend.

The British rapper connected with the crowd in an impeccable display of talent and was supported by some astonishing visuals on the jumbotron behind him.

Elsewhere, Angus Stone, 37, who now goes by the nickname Dope Lemon, sang some smooth indie tunes for his fans while playing an electric guitar.

Dressed in a striped white shirt and white jeans, the musician looked incredibly stylish on stage as he hid his eyes behind dark sunglasses.

The female hostage who screamed for her life as she was driven into Gaza on the back of a motorcycle on October 7 was likely kidnapped by Palestinian civilians following Hamas terrorists into Israel.

The world watched in horror as a video emerged of Noa Argamani, 26, sitting on the back of a motorcycle, her face etched with fear as she screamed “Don’t kill me” at the men around her.

As the motorbike sped towards Gaza, a desperate Noa reached out to her helpless friend Avi Nathan, who had also been arrested at the Nova music festival on October 7. Noa and her boyfriend have not been seen since.

For more than two months, Noa’s family has waited helplessly for news that their beloved daughter has survived the Hamas attack and would be among the hostages released so far in a prisoner swap.

But their fears have been exacerbated after it emerged that Noa could have been kidnapped not by Hamas, but by a gang of Palestinian civilians who invaded Israel hours after the terrorists’ first attack.

Analysis of text messages, phone records, satellite images and interviews indicate that Noa was taken on a motorcycle by Palestinian civilians who had followed Hamas terrorists into Israel, reports NBC News.

This could be why Noa has not been released along with the more than a hundred women and children taken hostage during last month’s ceasefire. Hamas may have no idea where she is if she is being held by civilians.

Along with hundreds of other young Israelis, Noa and Avi were enjoying a peace festival in the desert when they were forced to flee for their lives from Hamas terrorists.

Noa desperately messaged her friend at 8:10 a.m. saying she was in a parking lot and “couldn’t get away,” to which her friend replied, “Hide.” Let me know you’re okay.’ More than two hours later, she told her friend, “We don’t have a car.”

That was the last time Noa’s friends and family heard from her, with footage showing the festival-goer screaming as she was taken to Gaza on the back of a motorcycle.

For months, her family and the world had believed that Noa had been taken to Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

But analysis of the sun and shadows appearing in the video of their capture, which shows the couple surrounded by men, suggests they were kidnapped several hours after the attack, the news channel reported.

This also points to the theory that the couple was brought to Gaza by Palestinian men who traveled from Gaza to Israel several hours after the attack began.

Her family and friends are desperate for Noa to be found, not least because her mother Liora Argamani is currently battling stage four brain cancer.

They had some hope that she was still alive after seeing a video, posted on October 7, of Noa sitting on a bench drinking from a water bottle while two barefoot people walked behind her.

“In this situation, when you see someone you love so much and someone so close to you, it just drives you crazy,” said Noa’s college roommate, Amir Moadi, 29. “Because you can’t do anything.”

“Imagine what it is like for her family,” Moadi said last month, revealing that her family only found out she had been snatched when they came across the images online.

“In this situation, when you see someone you love so much and a person so close to you, it just drives you crazy,” Amir Moadi, 29, a roommate and friend of Argamani, said in an interview. “Because you can’t do anything.”

Last month, Noa’s mother Liora begged President Joe Biden and the Red Cross to intervene and bring her daughter home before she dies, telling her only child, “If I don’t see you… just know that I you love. a lot.’

“I have cancer, brain cancer,” Liora said from the family’s temporary apartment in Tel Aviv, near her cancer treatment clinic.

I don’t know how long I have left. I wish for the chance to see my Noa at home.

‘I call on President Biden and the Red Cross to bring my Noa back as soon as possible so that I have the opportunity to see her.

‘Noa, if I don’t see you… please know that I love you very much. Please know that we have done everything we can to get you released. The whole world loves you.’

Liora is battling stage 4 brain cancer and her husband Yakov says doctors have no hope.

‘I don’t want to elaborate on it, but it’s not good. The doctors have not given a good prognosis, but I believe it is in God’s hands. I believe it will turn out fine.’

Apart from a photo of Noa drinking water in what appeared to be Gaza, which was posted in a Hamas telegram channel, the family has had no news of her safety.

‘We know nothing more than what the media has reported. All we have seen are the images of Noa being kidnapped and then sitting on the couch with a bottle of water.’

On October 12, her family sent her a message for her 26th birthday in the “hope it would reach her.”

Noa’s grief-stricken father Yaacov gave an interview on Israeli television shortly after the attack.

He said: ‘I was hoping this was a mistake and it wasn’t true. And then a man in the hospital asked if I wanted to see him. I said yes and then I’m sure it’s Noa… she was so petrified, so scared.’

Then he starts sobbing uncontrollably. “I was always so protective, but at this moment I couldn’t protect her,” he told Israeli broadcaster Channel 12 News.

‘All my life since she was born I have tried to protect her and cuddle her, support her and love her. I wish I could at least encourage her or say something to her in this difficult moment.”

Noa’s aunt, Yaffe Ohad, said they were “crazy with worry.” She said: “We know that Noa was kidnapped, probably in the hours of the start of the fighting.”

Along with hundreds of other young Israelis, Noa and Avi were enjoying a peace festival in the desert when they were forced to flee for their lives from Hamas terrorists.

Revelers had gathered for a nighttime trance music rave near Kibbutz Re’im, close to the Gaza Strip, to mark the end of the religious holiday of Sukkot.

But the festivities turned into chaos yesterday morning after Palestinian terrorists began firing rockets and gunfire into the crowd.

Images circulating on social media showed hundreds of people screaming and crying as they fled the rave site on foot, chased by the sound of gunfire.

Dear Diary:

I moved to New York City from my home in South Carolina in 1976 with the goal of becoming a freelance photographer.

I packed all my worldly possessions into a U-Haul truck and headed north. My wife, who was pregnant at the time, followed in our VW camper.

Eight months later, our son, Nicholas, was born at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Greenwich Village.

The next few years were a whirlwind of excitement and adventure. We used to live in the Village, on Jones Street.

Nicholas was a colicky baby and I received many disapproving looks as I carried him screaming through the nighttime streets of the village in the hope of calming him down.

Three years later we moved to Brooklyn Heights, which was almost like a suburb. We were on Henry Street and later on Lower Court Street.

A second child followed in 1982, but this boy from the South became increasingly dissatisfied with raising a family in the big city, no matter how much I loved living there.

Every time I returned to La Guardia from an out-of-town assignment, seeing the New York skyline through the window of a yellow cab on the way home stirred my heart and soul. But the truth was, I needed more room to move.

That’s why we decided to leave in 1987. A moving company loaded most of our belongings and we packed our Isuzu Trooper as tightly as possible while still leaving enough room for the four of us.

There was one thing we had to do before we finally said goodbye to the city.

Crossing Manhattan on Canal Street, we stopped next to a Sabrett’s cart and ordered four dogs. I got mine with mustard and cabbage.

Dear Diary:

I was on a busy southbound #1 train traveling from Riverdale to Midtown. Standing across from me was a young woman with long, curly hair and long, synthetic nails.

I watched her out of the corner of my eye as she tried to open a can of soda. Her nails made the action impossible.

After she made about five attempts, a middle-aged man standing next to her, who had also been watching her from the corner of his eye, quietly took the can from her hands, opened it and handed it back.

Dear Diary:

Crying in public is one of my favorite experiences in New York. I shed a tear on the subway when I hear a certain song or read a sentence from a book that moves me.

I’ve cried on the steps of Union Square Station about boys and jobs. It’s so cathartic. As I cry, life continues around me, reminding me that my tears are small and temporary.

One time I ran into my ex-boyfriend, exactly three months after we broke up. He was coming out of the Beverley Road Q station as I went inside.

We both stood still. I saw his face shrink.

“Can I give you a hug?” he asked.

I nodded.

We held each other and cried for just a minute as people swarmed around us. We said we missed each other.

The woman we bought tamales from looked at us. Maybe she could guess what had happened.

I heard the train below us and we parted ways.

“Have a nice day, honey,” he said.

That old term of endearment rang in my ears as I stood weeping on the platform.

An old woman smiled at me. A child looked at me curiously. Life went on.

Dear Diary:

I was working the box office at an Off Broadway show when my boss told me that a celebrity guest was expected that evening.

By the time the show was about to start, no celebrity had appeared yet. Then, with a minute to go, walking came across a man I recognized as the actor Paul Sorvino and an entourage of three.

“Oh, hello, Mr. Sorvino,” I said. ‘The show is about to start. I will lead you to your seat.”

The man seemed slightly nervous.

“My name is Aiello,” he said. “Danny Aiello, young man.”

I’m still smart.

Dear Diary:

I’m from Toronto and my oldest friend lives in London. Every few years we meet in New York for a week of fun.

Last summer we were in a gallery in the West Village looking at prints based on posters from old Bob Dylan concerts.

After a while we started talking to the owner. He asked when we had first come to the city in our lives.

My friend surprised me by saying that when he was ten, his parents took him to New York to see a specialist because they were concerned that he was small and not growing.

“How tall are you?” the gallery owner asked.

“Six feet,” my friend said.

The owner stopped.

“You’re going to be okay,” he said finally.

My boyfriend and I are in our late sixties.

A plane passenger was left fuming after a mother changed her son’s nappy in a seat and ‘didn’t bother’ to take him to the toilet.

The furious traveler took to Reddit to share her ‘terrible’ experience, with many users calling out the mother’s misstep and others calling for child-free flights.

However, experts suggest the passenger could have offered to help the struggling mother, rather than calmly judge.

Captioning her online rant “Child-free flights should be an option,” the passenger said she had been on a four-hour overnight flight “back home” and sat across from a woman with a “very young child” she estimated . between one and two years old.

An angry airline passenger attacked a mother who was changing her son’s diaper on board. After being posted on Reddit, many users are calling for child-free flights, but experts say the passenger could have offered to help the ‘poor mother’

The passenger, whose nerves had already been tested by the child screaming “incoherent toddler babble,” kicking the back of her seat and putting his feet up on her armrest, became desperate when the mother chose to leave his diaper on her seat. change. three times.

Posting on the ‘Childfree’ subreddit, she wrote: ‘[She] didn’t bother taking him to the bathroom even though she was sitting one row up from the very back of the plane, right next to it. It smelled terrible.’

As if that wasn’t enough for the passenger, she complained, “There was also a baby in another seat who would scream every now and then.”

It seemed that the woman also had a greater tolerance for a puppy on the plane, which she said “didn’t make a fuss,” although she wondered if it was anesthetized.

The woman concluded her post with this drastic solution: “These parents need to sedate their damn kids, or they’re just not allowed to take them on certain flights. Good Lord.’

While the airline passenger was left outraged by the ordeal, parenting expert and regular speaker joined in The Baby ShowRachel Fitz-D, told MailOnline that it would have been best for the passenger to approach the situation with ‘compassion’ rather than hostility.

She explained: ‘The parent with the screaming baby is not negligent and is probably as distressed as the passenger next to them, and almost certainly embarrassed.

“If either of them would start a compassionate conversation instead of sitting in a steely silence and speaking out later on social media, chances are they would find strategies together that would help them all.”

A parenting expert has said the irritated passenger could have started a conversation with the mother to ease the tension (stock image)

Rachel suggested that the disgruntled airline passenger could have had a light-hearted conversation with the mother, or perhaps even offered to get a flight attendant’s attention to help. Likewise, she said the mother could have tried to defuse the tension by striking up a conversation with a nearby passenger.

We’re weighing the issue, etiquette expert Dianne Gottsman said fellow passengers could have been “more understanding” rather than judgmental.

It’s always nice when a fellow passenger is compassionate, rather than judgmental

She said: ‘It is undoubtedly an uncomfortable situation for the mother of a baby on a flight, who has to determine the best and safest place to change her baby’s nappy.’

She added: ‘Most planes have at least one toilet with a changing table and asking a flight attendant where the changing table is would be the best option, even though the toilets are extremely small. Another option would be to change the baby’s diaper on the floor.

“Changing the baby’s diaper on the seat clearly irritated the fellow passengers, but in the mother’s defense, she probably did what was best in that particular situation.”

According to Diane, the key in the future is to have “essentials” on hand, such as a changing blanket and sealed bags to put the dirty diaper in.

She said, “It’s always nice when a fellow passenger is compassionate, rather than judgmental, but it’s also uncomfortable to sit next to someone who has strong odors like egg salad, tuna, or in this case, a dirty diaper.”

Nevertheless, the Reddit post sparked a heated debate in the comments section, leaving many users shocked and wishing child-free flights would become commonplace.

One person wrote: ‘I’d pay almost double for a child-free flight. “I don’t blame the kids, I blame the parents.” A second person agreed: ‘I really think airlines should support the idea of child-free flights.’

Another added: ‘I honestly don’t know why it’s nothing? If you do it once a week or even once a month, I and others would happily fill those seats eagerly!’

  • She fell seven meters after her hand slipped and hit a metal structure
  • The safety lock on her seat appeared to be unlocked while driving

An 11-year-old girl was left hanging from a Ferris wheel after a glitch caused her to slip from her seat.

The terror unfolded when a safety lock on the seat she and her friend were sitting on was unlocked as the ride rolled around a fairground in Rio Preto da Eva, Brazil.

The suspected mistake caused the chair to flip, causing the girl and her 13-year-old friend to fall out.

The older girl fell more than twenty feet to the ground, while the younger child managed to grab the chair.

Footage showed her dangling high above the ground as people below watched in horror.

The young girl held on for dear life as the Ferris wheel continued to spin at the fairground in Rio Preto da Eva, Brazil

As the ride creaks, she eventually loses her grip and falls to the ground as high-pitched screams are heard.

She is seen hitting a structure apparently made of metal during her descent on the night of October 31.

The other girl’s father, Raimundo Claudinei, was sitting in a different seat with his youngest daughter when the disturbance occurred.

He told local media: ‘We had made about five turns and I realized something was wrong.

‘Then I looked and saw my daughter already hanging upside down.

‘And when I looked again, she was already hanging and falling. As I held my seven-year-old daughter, I didn’t know what I could do.’

After the girls’ dive, paramedics provided first aid to the pair on the spot.

Both were then taken to a local hospital before being transferred to a larger facility in Manaus, approximately 56 miles away.

The older girl was still in hospital with injuries to her pelvic area.

Her family said she was still awaiting tests.

The younger girl has already been fired.

Raimundo recalled how the Ferris wheel felt extremely unsafe, with only a piece of rope separating the riders from a terrifying fall.

The amusement park has now been closed by the authorities and a report has been filed with the police.

Raimundo said he plans to sue the location if his daughter is found.

He told local media: “I will wait until she comes home and then take appropriate action together with the relevant authorities.”

The younger girl’s family also plans to take legal action, local media report.
