Delhi: It was a night to remember for the Mumbai Indians, who have now become the first team to qualify for the play-offs in this WPL season with a well-fought seven-wicket win on Saturday. But it’s not the victory in Mumbai that grabbed all the attention; a bizarre moment occurred during the match after the 18th over was bowled and Mumbai still needed 23 to win off 12 balls. Play was halted after the sprinklers were turned on between overs for no reason, causing water to spray from one of the overs and so the super-soppers had to be called in to dry things out quickly and get the match going.

Mumbai captain Harmanpreet Kaur was the star of the show as she hit a breathtaking 95* from 48 balls to take her side over the line with a ball to spare. Her 48-ball blitz was peppered with five sixes and ten fours.

Chasing 191 to win, Mumbai got off to a good start but Hayley Matthews departed after a start to 18 off 21. Nat Sciver-Brunt did not last long as she died by two runs. Yastika Bhatia was the next to go, but not before she had already scored a handy 49 off 36 balls. From then on it was Harmanpreet all the time. During her stay she mainly focused on boundaries. From the other end, Amelia Kerr was steady as she gave most of the attack to the captain, who was on fire. Kerr remained unbeaten on 12* off 10 balls.

Mbappe received the ball from Ousmane Dembele in the 15th minute and after using his electric pace to keep the ball in play, he advanced into the penalty area and set up on his favored right foot.

The 25-year-old moved the ball into Arsenal transfer goalkeeper Martin Zubimendi’s side before unleashing a vicious strike that found its way into the back of the net.

The shot had so much force that it actually pulled the net off the upright and a THREE MINUTES DELAY to proceedings in San Sebastian.

Staff members at the Reale Arena had to repair the goal before play could continue.

Mbappé later doubled his side’s lead with a second goal for himself in the 56th minute, securing a 2–1 victory and a 4–1 aggregate victory for the Parisians.

PSG made little work of Sociedad and will now progress to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Thanks to Mbappe’s support, he extended his excellent record in Europe’s most prestigious competition to 46 goals and 26 assists in just 68 Champions League appearances.

It’s no wonder the world’s best teams are sniffing around the World Cup winner who is set to bid farewell to PSG at the end of the season.

Spanish giants Real Madrid appear most likely to secure the superstar’s services, but Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool have also been linked with a shock move for Mbappe.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta explained last month that he believes his side should be ‘in the conversation’ with players of Mbappe’s calibre.

‘We need to be in the conversation,’ says Mikel Arteta as Arsenal boss has his say on Kylian Mbappe transfer saga

He said: “If we want to be the best team, we need the best talent and the best players, that’s for sure.

“I am not [part of those conversations]. Maybe Edu and the owners are, but I was only involved in those conversations in the final phase.

Asked directly whether he would be interested in Mbappe even though it looks like he is on his way to the Spanish capital, Arteta said: “If there is a player of that caliber we always have to be in discussions.

“But like you said, it looks different. That’s what I’ll say.”

  • Celena Morrison, executive director of Philadelphia’s Office of LGBT Affairs, was arrested along with her husband during a dramatic traffic stop
  • The incident was caught on camera and the pair have since been released

A top Philadelphia city official and her husband were pulled over by state troopers during a traffic stop, with the officer desperately shouting, “I work for the mayor.”

Celena Morrison, executive director of the Office of LGBT Affairs in Philadelphia, was arrested Saturday along with her husband Darius McLean. They have both since been released without charge.

The shocking incident was recorded by Morrison, who can be heard shouting “I work for the mayor” as the unidentified state trooper holds her husband.

McLean, seen along the highway as the officer handcuffs him, calls out to his distressed wife. He then shouts, “It’s because I’m black.”

Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker, for whom Morrison works, called the video “deeply concerning” in a statement about X.

The incident was captured on camera and shared on Facebook. Darius McLean, Celena Morrison’s husband, is arrested along the highway

Pennsylvania State Police said the trooper initiated a traffic stop on westbound I-76 around 9 a.m. for a vehicle with multiple violations.

They said state police initially stopped a gray Infinity sedan — believed to be driven by Morrison — for “multiple vehicle code violations.”

A green Dodge sedan then pulled up behind the trooper’s car, believed to be driven by Morrison’s husband, McLean.

The officer then approached the Dodge and police said the driver was “verbally combative” and “resisting arrest.”

Morrison began recording the incident and she can be heard shouting “I work for the mayor” as her husband scrambled to the ground.

As the officer stood with her husband on the side of the road, Morrison said, “That’s my husband… That’s my husband, please.”

The trooper tried to handcuff McLean and a scuffle broke out.

McLean can then be heard saying, “It’s because I’m black,” to which the trooper responds, “It’s not because you’re black.”

The trooper then approaches Morrison and she drops her phone.

He can be heard shouting at her: ‘turn around’ and ‘give me your hands or you’ll get a bag’.

Morrison then tells her husband not to worry, before adding: “He just punched me.”

Later you hear her say, ‘What’s going on? Why are you so aggressive?’

The officer then picks up her phone and says, “This was a simple traffic stop because you didn’t have your lights on. You didn’t have your lights on and you’re tailgating.”

Both Morrison and McLean were taken into custody on resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, disorderly conduct and other related charges, but were released without charges on Saturday.

The sharp dispute arose just after half-time, when the teams took to the pitch again with West Ham taking a 2-1 lead.

Nothing physical was seen between the pair, but Maupay could be seen laughing as Nolan confronted him.

But the 27-year-old striker was pushed away by teammate Mathias Jensen before he could do more to deal with Nolan.

It was not immediately clear what started the war of words, but Gary Neville suggested what might have sparked the fire during his commentary duties for Sky Sports.

He said: “The Brentford forward was apparently standing outside the referee’s room [at half-time] and Nolan has taken offense.”

Nolan became frustrated in the first half as he argued with the various members of the Brentford bench after Simon Hooper denied West Ham a penalty.

Ultimately, it was Nolan who had the last laugh as West Ham blew away Brentford in a 4-2 win to win their first game of 2024.

Maupay is known for his antics on the pitch and has seen several Premier League opponents fall for his talkative mind games.

We had barely been at the club for an hour when I turned to my husband and said, “I’m sorry, I’m going back to the hotel.” I really don’t feel great.’ He seemed as disappointed as I felt.

There we were, in Ibiza, on a child-free mini-break, looking for those heady days when we first met, when we drank late and went out until dawn, but it all seemed hollow. That desire for hedonism had just disappeared. All the things I used to love made me feel. . . Nothing.

It wasn’t until I read Dr. Max’s column last week that I realized what was behind it. Ozempic, the weight-loss drug I had been taking for the past five months, had not only helped me lose weight, but had also affected the pleasure I got from other things. Like Dr. Pemberton, Ozempic had dramatically affected my relationship with both alcohol and food.

Since I started last summer, I pretty much stopped drinking. And as a forty-something who still had a bit of a reputation as a party girl, the impact on my life was enormous.

The decision to take Ozempic – prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes – was not one I took lightly. (Another brand, Wegovy, is now prescribed by the NHS to treat weight loss.)

After reading Dr. Max Pemberton’s column last week, the writer understood that Ozempic had affected her relationship with alcohol

I was 42 and had had a baby two years earlier. Despite eating healthily and staying fit (I had a personal trainer, had run a marathon and taken on various exercise challenges), I couldn’t lose the weight.

At 6ft tall and over 12 stone, I was classified as obese. I didn’t recognize myself.

I spoke to some friends who were using Ozempic and researched their medical paperwork before sending my details and photos to an online pharmacy who agreed I was a suitable candidate.

Shortly after I started taking it last June, it changed my attitude towards food. Not only does it soothe the hunger pangs, but I also noticed that I didn’t feel like eating anything anymore. I always thought, ‘I really want a pizza.’ Or ‘I would like a Pret sandwich.’ or crave a baked potato.

But none of that was there. It was a strange suppression of my food cravings.

It had the same effect when it came to alcohol. I work in digital marketing and do quite a bit of customer entertainment. I like margaritas, espresso martinis, champagne. . . or did.

But after taking Ozempic, nothing tasted good. It was bitter or sour, and when I drank I didn’t get the buzz from the drink that I did.

In the past, when I was out with a client, we might have a few cocktails and a few bottles of wine over dinner. When I was out with friends, we would drink champagne or margaritas. When I went to the club with my husband and friends at the weekend, we would drink two or three gin and tonics before leaving the house, and at night it wouldn’t be unusual for me to drink eight or nine vodka sodas.

But on Ozempic I stopped drinking alcohol completely.

Most people knew I was on a health kick, even though I hadn’t told them I was taking Ozempic, so it wasn’t hard to explain the change in my behavior. And if anyone wondered where I got the willpower, they didn’t ask. I still went out with clients and friends, but I ordered one drink and nursed it with a bottle of sparkling water all night long.

Of course, ditching the booze undoubtedly helped with weight loss, but I also experienced the other benefits of being sober. I slept better (when I wasn’t in the mood for the little one), and because I wasn’t hungover, my productivity improved and I was better able to deal with toddler tantrums.

While I’m not sure I would have ditched alcohol without Ozempic, I couldn’t really complain about it.

However, that evening in Ibiza surprised me. I had had some sangria earlier that evening and I think the unexpected sugar injection hit me hard. That’s the thing about Ozempic, I don’t know if it’s physiological or psychological, but it makes you want to make healthier choices, live a healthier life.

And when you don’t, you really feel it.

Ozempic – prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes – can help people lose weight

Ozempic – prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes – can help people lose weight

The rest of the trip was the same. We had tickets to some of our favorite clubs, but my heart wasn’t in it. At 1am, with no booze to keep me going, I just didn’t feel like staying up. I also didn’t want to fall into bed for the kind of action we enjoyed pre-baby.

Losing weight with Ozempic has made me much happier with my body – after eight months I’m now close to eight and a half stone, my target weight, so I feel more comfortable wandering around in my underwear or being naked – but that’s not the case. hasn’t set our sex life on fire.

To be honest, I’m not sure I can blame my low libido solely on Ozempic. Having a toddler who doesn’t sleep has a big impact on that front, and my husband doesn’t have a particularly high sex drive, so often I was the one to initiate it.

But lately he’s been the one suggesting an “early night” and I’ve just gone along with it. There’s no doubt that Ozempic has changed the way I feel and respond to things I used to enjoy, but I’m starting to think it’s affecting me in the bedroom too.

If so, I hope I get my libido back when I get off it. Once I reach my target weight, I try to maintain it without the injections.

I feel like my brain has been reprogrammed when it comes to food. I can’t imagine going out and ordering a huge pizza, or craving something sweet like I used to. I’m not sure if the same goes for alcohol, but I know that staying away from booze helps me stay slim.

Until I started taking Ozempic and stopped drinking, I hadn’t realized that a night out would knock back 3,000 calories on drinks alone. And morning workouts (and waking up) are much more fun when you’re not working through a hangover.

I’d like to think the new, sober me is here to stay. But it remains to be seen whether Ozempic has temporarily tamed the party girl in me, or banished her forever.

A hairy lady has revealed that even though people are constantly staring at her bushy pins, men are supposedly obsessed with them.

Aria Loca from Mexico is fed up with society reinforcing the idea that women need a hairless body. That’s why she rebels against the norms.

The 34-year-old has opted for a low-maintenance look, and she doesn’t care who can see her blurry bits.

Although her hairy appearance sometimes draws surprised looks, Aria says men online are completely enamored with her rugged style.

But despite receiving daily messages from men professing their love for her fluffy pins and armpits, her natural looks have still brought excitement to her dating life.

Aria Loca, 34, from Mexico, revealed that even though she gets stares in public, men online are obsessed with her rugged looks

‘I once had a relationship with someone who didn’t feel like it. I kept shaving to please them, but I would never do that again now,” Aria revealed.

“If they can’t fully accept me, they’re not for me, and I’m not for them.”

But after building her TikTok page – @vivalahippieloca – around her frizzy body hair, the electric travel woman is now often showered with compliments from men.

“Now I get comments every day from men saying they love hairy legs and armpits on women,” she said.

Aria, who started growing her body hair at the age of 21, was initially inspired by the cover of Patti Smith’s Easter album, which showed the singer showing off her hairy armpits.

Explaining why she ditched the shaving cream over a decade ago, she said: ‘I saw other women showing off their body hair and it seemed so rebellious and cool.

“Many of us don’t realize that we have been brainwashed from birth to conform to societal norms.”

She added: ‘Women with smooth, hairless skin are plastered everywhere and this is what we think women should look like.’

The 34-year-old claims her friends are jealous of her confidence as they too wish they could embrace their natural vagueness.

“I’ve received some responses from friends saying they’d like to stop shaving like me, but they’re too afraid of what others will say,” she said.

Aria’s journey to embracing her natural self hasn’t been a walk in the park, however, as she often finds herself on the receiving end of online hate – but she doesn’t let it deter her.

‘Negative reactions come from online. There will always be haters, there’s not much you can do about that,” she joked.

‘I don’t think much about what other people might think.

“However, I like to spread awareness and like to think that I could change my perspective just as mine was changed.

“I may get some looks in public, but I’ve never had a negative comment in person.”

The content creator believes that everyone should be more accepting of their natural self.

‘We are all beautiful just the way we are and if women weren’t meant to have body hair we wouldn’t have body hair either, but it’s there for a reason.

“I like to embrace my femininity by embracing my body hair.”

The TikToker explained that she started losing her hair very suddenly, which she said had a “huge impact” on her mental health.

She said it was falling out in clumps every day, and she had no idea why.

Sonia said: “If you are losing hair this way, you should consult your doctor in case you have vitamin deficiencies or other medical problems.

“I had a blood test done and was told my iron levels were very low.”

After consulting with a doctor, Sonia started taking hair vitamins and multivitamins every day to improve her overall health.

You can buy hair vitamins at Boots for around €20.

In addition, Sonia made a homemade hair oil with six different types of oil.

She used coconut oil (available in the supermarket for around £2), almond oil, castor oil, black seed oil and two different types of hair oils.

All of these products contain beneficial vitamins and minerals that can help stimulate hair growth and maintain healthy hair.

Sonia said she used the oil mixture twice a week and left the oil on for a few hours before rinsing.

In addition, Sonia said that she only washes her hair twice a week and washes it with a special brand of shampoo called Hairburst.

Hairburst can be purchased at Holland & Barrett for £27.49.

A description on the website reads: “Designed to promote normal hair growth, Hairburst shampoo and conditioner is here to help you fall in love with your locks again and guide you on a hair restoration journey, regardless of your hair type.”

After just a month of using the above products, Sonia said her hair feels “fuller”, no longer falls out and is slowly growing back.

Hair loss in women can occur for many reasons, such as stress, postpartum or genetic factors.

Always consult your doctor before starting any hair loss treatment.

A BIG change to the welfare system will result in thousands of people's benefits being cut off over the next year.

Around 400,000 claimants will be moved from so-called legacy benefits to Universal Credit this year.

Those receiving tax credits have already begun to move under what is known as managed migration.

Those receiving income support, housing benefit and employment support will now be switched this year under a new timetable unveiled by the government earlier this month.

After receiving a migration notice, people on these older style benefits must make their claim for Universal Credit within three months.

If they don't, their old benefits, typically worth thousands of dollars a year, will automatically be terminated without replacement.

In addition to missing out on payments, they also run the risk of missing out on additional protection, which means they will not receive a lower amount under the new system.

Recent figures show that around 16,000 people on tax benefits asked to move have failed to make a claim for Universal Credit after three months.

This is evident from analysis of government data by anti-poverty organization Z2K.

On average they are about £359 a month worse off.

Managed migration restarted in 2022 after a lull in the pandemic.

Last year this increased with 117,690 notices sent and the Government aims to have 2 million into Universal Credit by the end of this year.

From April, those receiving income support with tax credits and housing benefit will receive letters asking them to apply for Universal Credit.

Those claiming housing benefit only will receive migration notices from June.

Anyone receiving Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) and child tax credits will be asked to switch from July.

Meanwhile, Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) applicants will be contacted from September.

From August, those receiving tax credits who have reached state pension age will be asked to apply for Universal Credit or Pension Credit, depending on their situation.

Those claiming only income-related ESA will not be moved until 2028.

In 2024/2025, the DWP estimates that approximately 440,000 people will be contacted, with the following breakdown:

  • Tax discounts and rent allowance 120,000
  • Income support – 110,000
  • Rent allowance only – 100,000
  • Income-based ESA with child tax credits – 90,000
  • Income-based JSA – 20,000
  • Tax credits only – 10,000

Experts have previously warned that managed migration puts vulnerable people at risk of losing money.

Top bosses at charities including Mind, The Trussell Trust, Turn2Us and the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute said in 2022 that around 700,000 people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and dementia could struggle to take part in the trial.

More than 20 organizations have called on the government to halt managed migration to fix flaws in the system that could allow those at risk to fall through.

A DWP spokesperson previously told The Sun: “We want to help everyone transition to Universal Credit as smoothly as possible, as part of our work to streamline the benefits system, and recent research has shown that tax credit claimants are able to get through navigate Universal Credit. system to submit a new claim with minimal support.

“Benefits are only stopped as a last resort. Within a three-month period, claimants are contacted several times to remind them of the action they need to take. Support is also available through our dedicated migration helpline.”

What is managed migration and who is affected by it?

Universal Credit replaces six benefits under the old social security system, commonly called legacy benefits. They are:

  • Working tax credit
  • Child tax credit
  • Income-related jobseeker's allowance (JSA)
  • Income support
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Housing benefit

Now, if you have any of these benefits, you can choose to switch, but you may not be better off.

You'll need to carefully consider what switching will mean for your money, as you won't be able to go back once you have Universal Credit.

Using an online benefits calculator can help you compare and is free and easy to use by charities such as Turn2Us And Entitled toand it is also worth asking them for advice.

You can switch to Universal Credit if there is a change in your circumstances, such as a move, a change in working hours or if you have a baby.

But eventually everyone will switch to Universal Credit.

This is known as 'managed migration' and plans for this were put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Help with claiming Universal Credit

In addition to benefit calculators, anyone switching from tax benefits to UC can find help in a number of places.

You can visit your local employment center, but search for find-your-nearest-jobcentre.dwp.gov.uk/.

There is also a free service called Help to Claim from Citizen's Advice:

You can also get help from advisors online at www.citizensadvice.org.uk/about-us/contact-us/contact-us/help-to-claim/.

Am I better off with Universal Credit?

Around 1.4 million people will be better off with Universal Credit, the government estimates.

Another 300,000 will see no change in payments, while around 900,000 people will be worse off under Universal Credit.

About 600,000 are expected to receive additional payments if they move under managed migration, so they don't immediately lose out on money.

The majority of them – around 400,000 – are entitled to Employment Support Allowance (ESA).

About 100,000 people benefit from tax credits, while fewer than 50,000 of them are expected to experience other inheritance benefits.

Examples of those who the government believes may be entitled to less on Universal Credit include:

  • Households receive ESA who and the Severe Disability Premium and Enhanced Disability Premium
  • Households with a child with a lower disability receive a supplement on top of the old benefits
  • Self-employed households that fall below the minimum income limit after the 12-month grace period expires
  • Working households who have worked a certain number of hours (e.g. singles).
  • parent who works 16 hours and is entitled to working tax credits
  • Households receiving tax benefits with savings over £6,000 (and up to £16,000)
  • But they could miss out on any future benefit increases and see payments frozen.

Those who voluntarily move and are worse off will not receive these additional payments and could lose money.

Those who miss the deadline and file a claim later may also not receive this transitional protection.

The clock starts ticking on the three-month countdown from the date of the first letter, and reminders are sent via mail and text message.

After this, there will be a one-month grace period during which any Universal Credit claim will retroactively expire and transitional protection can still be granted.

The latest data from the DWP shows that 61,130 people have made a claim for UC, and 39,920 have been offered transitional protection.

Another 40,540 are still in the process of switching to the new benefit.

T-pain says he no longer takes credit for writing country music songs because of the racist backlash.

The two-time Grammy winner, 39, is best known for creating R&B and hip-hop hits Jamie Foxx DJ Khaled, Bruno Mars and more. He says he has also composed music for country artists.

“Country music is where I get all my harmonies, country and gospel music. That's where all my harmonies come from,” T-Pain said in one TikTok video posted on Tuesday, January 30. “Good music is good music. I don't care where it comes from or what style it comes in. All the people I know don't think it's cool to listen to other genres of music.

The musician said that being black has caused some people to react negatively when they see his name among his country compositions.

“I've written a lot of country songs. I've stopped taking credit for it because as cool as it is to see your name in the credits and all that, the racism that comes after is just like…I'll just take the check, put me out there not on s–t. I'll just take the check, buddy, never mind.”

T-Pain showed his love for country music at his 2023 On top of the covers live album featuring his version of 'Tennessee Whiskey'. The song was originally released by a country artist David Allan Coe in 1981 and has been re-recorded by country stars Chris Stapleton And George Jones.

The rapper “Buy U a Drank” also collaborated Taylor Swift when they performed his parody of her classic “Love Story,” titled “Thug Story,” at the 2009 CMT Awards.

T-Pain pioneered the use of the Auto-Tune pitch-correcting audio processor for vocals when he began his recording career in 1993. Since then, it has been used by countless stars, including Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and the Black Eyed Peas.

However, some artists criticized the trend. In 2009, Jay Z knocked off hip-hop artists who recorded with Auto-Tune in his song “DOA (Death of Auto-Tune).” His lyrics include: “Go back to rap, you T-Paining too much.”[

Usher also bashed Auto-Tune, and in the 2021 Netflix docuseries This Is Pop, T-Pain said Usher’s remarks sent him into a depression back in 2013.

“He was, like, ‘Man, I want to tell you something, man.’ He was like, ‘Man, you kind of f—ed up music,’” he recalled, adding, “I didn’t understand. Usher was my friend.”

However, later that year, they ended their beef when they met on stage during an event in Atlanta.

“I love you, bro,” T-Pain told Usher. “We ain’t going through nothing, bro. We ain’t going through a goddamn thing. It’s all love. In times when we’re divided the most, we need to be together the most. I love you, bro. I’m never not gonna love you, bro, trust me. My dawg.”

It's a seismic moment for British Airways and its first-class customers: the airline will no longer serve the acclaimed Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne in its most expensive cabin.

It's a move that could potentially cause a stir, if not a quick eyebrow raise. And BA seems to be aware of the consequences, because the replacements are reassuringly expensive.

From today, the airline will serve Pommery Cuvée Louise 2006 in its Concorde Room in London Heathrow's Terminal 5, and from March 1, a new Champagne option will be available on board in First on a rotating basis.

BA has served Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle in his First cabin for 12 years and Concorde Room for 12 years. It retails for as much as €225 per bottlewhile the Pommery costs approx 200€ per bottle.

All prestige cuvée replacements have been carefully selected by the airline's Master of Wine, Tim Jackson, from well-known champagne houses and will rotate across the airline's drinks menu, 'offering more variety to frequent travellers'.

British Airways will no longer serve the acclaimed Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne in the First cabin. From March 1, First customers traveling on the airline's flagship route to New York can enjoy Veuve Clicquot La Grande Dame 2015 (above), which retails from £156 at retailers

The first premium champagne to be added to the airline's First Class drinks menu is the Lanson Noble 2005, available from March 1 to June. The 2004 version can be purchased at about £170.

Duval-Leroy Femme de Champagne 2004 is available from July to September and can be purchased in-store for around £80.

Bollinger Grande Année, which sells from £129.99, is served in October and Lanson Noble Blanc de Blancs 2005 from November to December. The 2004 version is available in stores €180 per bottle.

Tim Jackson said: “We know how important food and drink is to our customers, both on the ground and in the air, as we served around a million bottles of bubbly last year alone.

'We have spent a lot of time carefully curating a rotation of the highest quality to meet our customers' expectations.

'We look forward to receiving feedback from our frequent flyers on their favorite champagne and we will continue to develop our offering.'

Elsewhere, the airline says it continues to improve the customer experience at the airport for its premium customers.

The First Wing security is currently being upgraded with new technology and is expected to reopen in the coming months, “providing a more seamless security experience.”
