Youngest Indian Millionaire: Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy has gifted his four-month-old grandson Ekagrah Rohan Murthy Infosys shares worth Rs 240 crore, making Ekagrah Rohan Murthy in all likelihood India’s youngest millionaire.

To explain further, Ekagrah now owns 15,00,000 shares, equivalent to a 0.04 percent stake in Infosys, which is billed as India’s second largest information technology services company (according to a filing with the BSE).

With this share transfer, NR Narayana Murthy’s equity stake in Infosys has fallen from 0.40 per cent to 0.36 per cent, out of a total of over 1.51 crore shares.

The BSE filing stated that the transfer of shares took place ‘off-market’.

Ekagrah Rohan Murthy is the son of Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, Rohan Murthy who, along with his wife, Aparna Krishnan, announced the arrival of their son in November 2023.

The birth of Ekagrah was announced on November 10 by Rohan Murthy and daughter-in-law Aparna Krishnan and Narayan Murthy, inspired by the Sanskrit word uninterrupted meditation, named his grandson Ekagra.

Narayana Murthy founded Infosys in 1981. From then until 2002, he was the CEO of the company. He then served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2006.

In August 2011, Murthy retired from the company with the title of Chairman Emeritus. However, in 2013, he rejoined the company as executive chairman. During this time, his son Rohan Murthy worked as his executive assistant.

His daughter Akshata Murty is married to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

A mother of three says she has been forced to sleep on the sofa with her toddler because the council won’t give her a bigger flat.

Elena Erimea, 36, moved into her one-bed basement home 12 years ago and says that while it was cramped, it was “manageable.”

But now that she has three children, aged 14, seven and two, she says that even though the situation is ruining her life, the council won’t force her out.

Elena, from Angel, North London, said: “I can’t take it anymore.

‘I feel like we’re stuck and will never get out of here.

“I argue a lot with my 14-year-old daughter because she is frustrated about not having personal space.

“I also want my privacy and personal space, because I have to sleep in the living room.”

Elena shares a sofa bed with her youngest child, while her two other daughters sleep in bunk beds in the flat’s only bedroom.

The mother says the cramped flat has also affected her daughter’s ability to study for her final exams.

Elena cannot afford to buy or rent on the private market and told My London her only option is to beg Islington Council to move her to another council house.

She is willing to move to Luton, Beds, for a bigger home, but has faced an uphill battle given the huge waiting list for social housing across Britain.

Any move out of the borough would have to be organized by Elena herself, Islington Council said, highlighting the “extremely challenging” social housing situation in Britain.

Elena was almost freed from her nightmare a few months ago when a woman offered to trade her three-bedroom apartment for their current home.

But she backed out at the last minute because the bathroom was “full of mold.”

Elena explained, “No one wants to downsize and move to a bad property.”

But after the setback, she fears she will never be able to escape life in the one-bedroom flat.

A spokesperson for Islington Council said: “We understand Ms Erimea’s wish to move and have assessed her application in accordance with our allocation policy.

“Unfortunately, demand for social housing exceeds supply and the housing crisis means it is simply not possible to rehouse everyone who approaches us looking to move.”

ACCORDING to one dad, the responsibility of parenthood includes financial planning for the future – and it starts now.

His young daughter doesn't know it yet, but she's already on her way to amassing some serious wealth.

“My daughters will be millionaires by the time they're 30,” Brennan said (@budgetdog_).

The girl father of a toddler and baby wanted everyone to participate in his money-making method.

His strategy, designed to set his children up for success, included putting $250 into a 529 plan that they could use for college.

He and his wife also put this same amount into a parental tax brokerage so they could learn how to best invest.

He was also the first employer of his children.

“They are paid by BudgetDog LLC to be in these types of roles. Fifty dollars an hour goes into their Roth IRA,” he said.

And he believed that the skill rather than the stash of cash was the most important of all.

“They learn about compound interest at a young age. One dollar at their age is more than $148 when they reach retirement age,” he said.

This will create a large couch for these babies.

“With grants, scholarships and those working, this will cover their state school,” he said.

A 529 college savings plan is a state-sponsored investment plan that allows you to save money for a beneficiary and pay for education costs.

You can withdraw money tax-free to cover almost any type of college expense.

With another $250 automatically invested through the parent's taxable brokerage, the projection was a maximum of $400,000 by age 30.

By investing through a Roth IRA with as much as they can make through BudgetDog with more modeling and content projects, he predicted his children could also earn another $697,000 by age 30.

Fast fashion giant SHEIN is under fire for selling 'sexy' clothes and padded bikinis for girls aged six months.

The Chinese retailer has become a top shopping destination for many in recent years, selling items at incredibly cheap prices and shipping to more than 150 countries.

However, parents have targeted the producer for its children's range, with dresses and swimwear that some consider inappropriate.

A €7.49 teal velvet dress, with a sweetheart neckline, bodycon fit and ruffles, can be purchased for girls aged eight to 12.

The young model on the website leans against a table with her chest pushed forward suggestively.

Meanwhile, a £5.49 figure-hugging sequin dress, with one shoulder detail and a bright pink shade, is available for girls aged six months to three years.

And a range of padded bikinis are also being marketed for girls of the same age.

These designs feature vibrant color schemes, playful motifs, ruffles and cutouts that give the impression that they are intended for adults.

Some child models have complemented their outfits with heart-shaped sunglasses and a coconut in hand.

One amazed American shopper, who goes by the handle @Cathyrn24 on TikTok, shared screenshots from the SHEIN website and explained: 'I was just looking through SHEIN toddler dresses and I can't believe these are even an option.

'One review was 'sexy and cute' – that's a literal child.'

The brand offers its youngest customers countless mini dresses, with a plunging neckline and plenty of leg room.

Cathyrn continued, “Disbelief that parents are actually buying this for their children.”

The selection of figure-hugging clothes on display included a Fuzzy Trim Bow Front halter dress, priced at £5.49, which was reminiscent of the racy Christmas outfits worn during the Jingle Bell Rock scene in the 2004 film Mean Girls .

The Chinese company, which is valued at around £53 billion, has gained global recognition and acquired many of its rivals, including Missguided, in October last year.

It is currently the eleventh largest clothing retailer in Britain and is expected to rise to sixth place by 2027.

Other items in the childrenswear range include a figure-hugging one-shoulder dress with ruffled edges, £5.99, a puff-sleeved belted dress with houndstooth print, £9.49, and a Barbie-esque one-shoulder sequin lantern sleeve dress, £5.49 – all available for girls aged six months to three years.

SHEIN dominates online clothing shopping and has surpassed rivals Zara and H&M into the top spot.

The brand releases more than 6,000 new products on its website every day, usually costing less than £10 each.

As such, it has been compared to the infinitely large magic carpet bag worn by Mary Poppins in the 1964 film of the same name.

While the Uniqlo bag retails for £14.90, very similar bags are listed on SHEIN for £5.

Uniqlo's parent company Fast Retail said on Tuesday that a petition was filed in a Tokyo court on December 28 against SHEIN Japan and two of its subsidiaries.

In justifying its complaint, Fast Retailing said that the “imitation products that SHEIN sells are very similar to its own product.”

A spokesperson for SHEIN said the company “respects the intellectual property rights of others and takes all claims of infringement seriously.” We are currently investigating this matter.”

Everyone from Adele to Meghan Markle is a fan of the Stanley Cup, the viral £45 water bottle that has become extremely popular with Gen Z.

But now new mums are giving the super-sized, 850ml insulated water cup to their babies, prompting a dire warning from dentists.

Dr. Sachin Soni, owner of Lady Bay Dental Care in Nottingham, warned that drinking from a straw can be harmful to young teeth.

'If a mother or father came along and asked if it was okay or not I would say try to avoid it in young children as it can negatively impact tooth position and growth of the developing jaw' , he told FEMAIL.

'CChildren who use a straw too often can sometimes cause changes in tooth position while the jaw is still developing.

'We advise parents to limit the frequency of straw use, usually young children between 1 and 3 years of age.'

But that hasn't stopped dozens of mothers from sharing clips of their babies enjoying drinking from the giant cup, which has become a viral sensation.

While the colossal tumblers come from a variety of makers, such as brands like Yeti (Victoria Beckham's favorite model) or Simple Modern (Meghan's favorite), the current king of water bottles is the Stanley 'Quencher'.

The hashtag #Stanleycup now has more than seven billion views on TikTok and a cult-like following online, with celebrities like actress Shay Mitchell and Love Islander Molly Mae Haag evangelizing about it. They come in dozens of different colors, all of which sell out within minutes of release.

In the US, hordes of customers queued outside a Target store overnight for a deal on the limited-edition cup, with men even queuing to buy them for their young daughters – and now mums are letting their children have their swap milk bottles for the giant accessory.

Now that the trend has crossed the Atlantic, flasks at John Lewis are selling out quickly.

And it's not just babies who need to be careful about protecting their teeth.

Trends like water tok, where young people flavor their water, have undoubtedly helped accelerate the Stanley craze.

Millions of Gen Z women were inspired to make funky water by adding kitchen cupboard staples like chia seeds and lemon and flavor sachets.

While adding colorful agents to your water can make it more palatable if you're not a natural H2O lover, this may be tempting, but dentists recommend the opposite.

'Beverages with high sugar content increase the risk of tooth decay, acid erosion and sensitivity,' says Dr Sachin Soni.

But this hasn't deterred fans from the craze.

Primark and The Range will create dupes at a much lower price point of £8 and £4 respectively to keep up with the trend.

But what's so special about the Stanley, which was first made in 1913?

The all-steel thermos was invented by physicist William Stanley Jr. because he wanted to “keep his coffee hot all day.”

It became popular for its portability and ability to reliably store drinks for hours without leakage.

Just last week, Stanley sent social media into overdrive with a highly anticipated limited-edition collaboration with Starbucks for Valentine's Day.

Videos emerged of shoppers in America queuing overnight to get their hands on the brightly colored pink and red cups worth £35. Viral footage even showed a man trying to grab a box of it before being tackled and beaten up by other customers who had been queuing for hours. The cups are now selling for as much as £150 each on eBay.

So how did an insulated cup – which, let's face it, once reserved for construction workers and mountain climbers – become the ultimate fashion statement?

Since William Stanley Jr – not of the Stanley knife – invented the steel vacuum flask in 1913, the Seattle company has sold a variety of cups – from 14 oz (400 ml) to 64 oz (1.8 L), suitable for long-haul drivers, road trip workers, picnickers, hikers and more.

World War II pilots carried Stanleys on their planes. As recently as 2012, Stanley said its products particularly resonated with “an experienced police officer with a 30-year career” and “a retired Army soldier.” It's safe to say that Stanley fever didn't happen overnight.

It wasn't until 2016, when the company released their Quencher model, that the brand captured the imagination of Generation Z, born between the late 1990s and 2010s.

On TikTok, influencers started sharing how much water they had in their cup and how it kept them “hydrated.” Pop queen and TikTok royalty Olivia Rodrigo created a new wave of devotees last year.

“I was actually influenced by TikTok to buy this,” Rodrigo said, cradling her lilac cup in a video interview with GQ.

“I thought, 'I need this. This looks like it's going to change my life.' And that was absolutely right.'

Stanley's revenue has soared, from $94 million in 2020 to $194 million in 2021, and doubled again to $402 million in 2022.

Ostensibly, it is the usability of the product that appeals. At the heart of the Stanley Tumbler's popularity is its insulation technology which, as I can testify, really does keep drinks hot or cold for up to 24 hours.

In November last year, TikTok user Danielle Marie Lettering proved this point to the hilt. She posted a video of her car catching fire. Amid the charred debris of her burned-out Kia, her copper-colored Stanley sat completely intact in the cup holder on the driver's seat, the ice still frozen in the cup. The video now has more than 94 million views. The company was clearly excited about the marketing opportunity and when Stanley saw the video, the company offered to replace not only the cup, but her car as well.
