No one wants to start the new year with a painful hole or a high credit card or insurance bill. And of course no one hopes to have to deal with that at the end of the year. Dental problems are never convenient, so it's best to plan ahead by doing as much preventive work as possible.

We're told time and time again to sing “Happy Birthday” a few times or recite the alphabet twice, but sometimes even the most diligent brushing ends in a disappointingly early visit to the dentist. Even if you feel like you're doing everything right, those hard-to-reach spots can get in the way of your cavity-fighting plans.

You spend hours watching makeup tutorials on YouTube and hundreds of dollars on high-end makeup and skin care products. Wouldn't it be great if your beat lasted longer than a quick run to the coffee shop or 30 minutes at the bar, with all the time and energy you put into perfecting your look? Sigh, one […]

Well, thank goodness for that UsThe year is 2024 and tools have been designed to solve the problems we cannot handle on our own. Electric toothbrushes are the dentist-recommended cheat code for better dental health, not just a bathroom statement that proves to your friends and family that you care about your pearly whites. If you finally want to make the leap from manual to electric, this one is the crown jewel of home dental care. It gives you the precision of a daily dental cleaning — and it's on sale now!

Grab the Philips Sonicare ExpertClean 7500 rechargeable toothbrush for $130 (originally $200) at Amazon! Please note that prices are correct at the date of publication but are subject to change.

Compared to a manual toothbrush, this sleek electric option can remove up to 10 times more plaque and produce up to seven times healthier gums in two weeks. The brush works in four modes, each with a unique speed, pattern and pressure to achieve a specific purpose – whether that's cleaning, whitening, promoting gum health or deep cleaning. Meanwhile, a handy timer guides you through your two-minute brushing journey!

It also has pressure sensors to really personalize the brushing experience. This protects gums and teeth from over-brushing, which can be the result of using the wrong dental appliance, also known as a manual toothbrush! It cleans effectively without excessive pressure along the gum line, where gum disease tends to form.

One of the most innovative features of the ExpertClean 7500 is the app integration. The free app gives you daily progress reports, which track your frequency, brushing quality, duration, and other metrics that impact your overall oral health. And you never have to wonder when to replace the brush head again; both the device itself and the app will alert you when it's time to buy a new one.

This set includes two brush heads, a Premium Plaque Control head and a Premium Gum Health brush head. It also includes the Philips Sonicare handle (obviously), a charger, and a charging travel case, so no excuses for a mediocre dental routine when you're in Rome or wherever your next plane ticket takes you. But you don't have to charge the device too often; a fully charged battery lasts for weeks!

So if you're tired of gambling and hoping for the best every time you go to the dentist, you'll want to give this “absolutely groundbreaking” electric toothbrush a try.nothing short of impressive” while it is still on sale!

King Charles is a ‘spoiled’ monarch who has his shoelaces ironed for him, claims Harry and Meghan’s biographer.

Author Omid Scobie makes these claims in his new book, where he also claims that His Majesty insists on traveling with luxurious, perfectly steamed 1,000 thread count linens.

In another snide attack, Scobie says that Charles likes it when someone squeezes an inch of toothpaste for him onto his toothbrush as part of his bedtime routine.

An excerpt from the 42-year-old’s new book Endgame, published in The sun states: ‘If laces are worn even the slightest bit, an employee should quickly replace them with a new, ironed pair.

“There’s even a rumor (which, surprisingly, sources have confirmed) that Charles likes it when someone squeezes exactly an inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush before his bedtime.”

King Charles is accused of being a ‘spoiled’ monarch who irons his shoelaces and enjoys watching someone squeeze an inch of toothpaste onto his toothbrush

Other claims in the book, which was leaked to The Sun on Sunday, say the monarch called Prince Harry “that fool” when the Duke of Sussex revealed details of the family feud in a Netflix documentary.

Scobie writes that an aide said the show ‘took the wind out of everyone’s sails’, while there were ‘heads in hands’ in the palace with ‘migraines coming’.

The latest plug comes after Scobie launched a hateful attack on the Princess of Wales, portraying her as a woman terrified of doing anything other than grinning photo opportunities.

In an interview published today to accompany his latest book, author Omid Scobie says: ‘The little achievements we’ve seen from the Princess of Wales might go unnoticed if it were from another member of the Royal Family, but with Kate it’s like ‘wow!’ ‘

His cruel lashing – described by a friend of the princess as ‘hideously unfair’ – will enrage the royal family.

Insiders said the princess – intelligent, hardworking and passionate about the causes she promotes – has proven popular with the public in recent years.

But in a striking indication of the dismissive tone of the new book, Scobie says that ‘we are infantilizing’ [Kate] massively so that the bar is always lower’.

Today’s Sunday Times says the book portrays the princess ‘as a woman terrified of doing more than taking grinning photos’.

In the past, Scobie, 42, has been called the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ‘mouthpiece’ for his sympathetic portrayal of the couple.

His new book Endgame, a frontal attack on their perceived enemies, is expected to further widen the rift between Harry and his family.

Leaked extracts seen by The Mail on Sunday paint an unflattering picture of King Charles, with Scobie branding him “a flawed father” and a conniving person – and accusing him of effectively punishing leaks about his sons to the press .

Predictably, William also comes under fire. The author says he is increasingly in cahoots with palace courtiers who devise dirty tricks.

According to Scobie, the Prince of Wales uses his aides and their press contacts to portray his younger brother as emotionally vulnerable.

Endgame also suggests that William and Kate found the Sussexes’ merciless quips in US animated satire South Park earlier this year ‘very funny’. William, it adds, hated Meghan from the start.

And the book says the king thought his son was a ‘fool’ for making a heartbreaking Netflix documentary claiming his father told ‘lies’ and his brother ‘screamed and shouted’ at the Sandringham Summit, which led to the Sussexes moving to the US. US.

Writing about what he sees as a power struggle between the favored prince and the ‘unpopular’ king, Scobie claims that Charles is jealous of William’s position and knows that although his reign will only be a transitional one, his eldest son will have time to breathe new life. the monarchy.

He also claims that Charles resented Harry’s popularity with the media.

He accuses Charles of scheming and conniving and says the king turned a blind eye as aides leaked details about his sons to the media.

In a part that will leave the king particularly dismayed, the book claims he once used Harry’s troubles to improve his own public image.

At the time, 2002, Harry’s drug use had been exposed in the now defunct News Of The World. The book states that Charles piggybacked on the story, allowing aides to leak personal details about Harry to create a ‘great dad’ story.

This is a reference to reports suggesting that Charles had arranged for Harry to take a quiet educational visit to a rehabilitation center in Peckham, south-east London, where he spoke to addicts and gave him a ‘short, sharp shock’.

Another extract from the controversial book suggests that palace aides expressed doubts about whether Charles would be a suitable king

The Sussexes repeatedly denied working with Scobie in Finding Freedom, the 2020 bestseller he wrote about them with Carolyn Durand.

But Meghan later admitted in the High Court that she had authorized an aide to secretly brief the couple.

Scobie insists he is not friends with the Sussexes, nor has he had any direct contact with them through the book.

Sources close to the Sussexes deny they are ‘connected’ to it. Scobie describes it as a failure for the king not to engage in dialogue with his son after his bombshell interview with Oprah and the Netflix documentary, adding that his poor relationship with Harry shows his inability to handle constitutional crises.

Endgame also makes controversial claims about William’s relationship with his brother. Scobie writes that the Prince of Wales did not like Meghan Markle from the start and renounced his brother after their marriage.

He adds that this was because William no longer needed to use Harry as a useful distraction.

But the claims are not just about ancient lands.

Scobie claims that palace corruption and toxic media spin have continued into the present and reflects on what he describes as the selfish agendas of the king and his eldest son.

This is part of Endgame’s thesis that the royal family is ‘desperate’ and floundering after the death of the late queen.

Other extracts suggest that palace aides expressed doubts about whether Charles would be a suitable king.

To survive, Scobie claims the palace is now using Donald Trump-style “jingoism.”

I’m A Dentist And This Is Why You Should Never Run Your Toothbrush Under Water Before Brushing – It’s An Unnecessary Step

A dentist has warned people not to run their toothbrush under the tap before using it.

Dr. Sahil Patel, who works on Harley Street in London, said most of his patients complete this step, which affects how well their toothpaste works.

Speak against The sunthe expert highlighted how wetting your toothbrush “dilutes” the formula of your chosen product, making it less effective.

Describing how this habit could wreak havoc on a patient’s oral hygiene, he explained, “Toothpaste already has the right amount of moisture.

“When it’s wet, it foams up faster and you’re more likely to spit it out.”

Dr. Sahil Patel, who works at Harley Street, said soaking your toothbrush in water ‘dilutes’ your product and makes it less effective

In addition, Dr. Patel says he feels his patients can be too heavy-handed when brushing morning and night.

Patel urged people not to hold their brushes in a fist and told them not to “scrub” their teeth.

He added, “Pig bristles should be right against the teeth and you should feel soft.”

In addition, Dr. Patel said people should start brushing the back of their teeth, as this area is often overlooked.

“If you start at the front and do the back last, you’re more likely to stop and put your brush down, miss the back, or not clean the back properly,” he added.

Earlier this year, dentist Dr Payal Bhalla also warned people not to brush their teeth in the shower.

Dr. Bhalla – who is clinical director of Quest Dental in Ipswich – says this habit not only shortens the life of your toothbrush, but also increases your chances of contracting disease.

Talking to the SubwayDr Bhalla emphasized how regular exposure to scalding hot water in the shower breaks down hair.

This means that people who think this approach will save time should replace their toothbrush more often.

Meanwhile, the expert warned against “the transfer of germs from other parts of your body to your mouth” when brushing your teeth in the shower.

She continued, “The shower head can harbor bacteria, and if you brush your teeth under the shower head, you may be exposing your toothbrush to those bacteria, which in turn increases your risk of illness.”

In addition, the dentist advised people not to leave their toothbrush in the shower between washes.

She added, “Bacteria can build up on your toothbrush and potentially lead to oral health problems.”

Instead, she recommended keeping your toothbrush in a dry and clean place and away from potential cross-contamination sites, such as shared toilets or sinks.
