A WOMAN who turned down a measly sum for hit TV show Dragon’s Den now earns 50 times more.

Peony Li appeared on BBC One’s Dragons’ Den tonight after pitching her healthcare company We Are Jude to the business moguls.

We Are Jude provides bladder care education, products and treatments and increases awareness of bladder health.

The core product Li presented to the Dragons is a clinically tested bladder strength supplement that claims to improve women’s incontinence problems.

Special guest Dragon Emma Grede – the self-made millionaire and co-founder of Skims and Good American alongside the Kardashians – was impressed and made an offer.

She offered £100,000 in return for three percent of the sales, but decided Peony was standing firm and turned it down.

Grede fell short of what We Are Jude had already secured from previous investors.

Despite turning down the money, Li’s company now rakes in £5 million a year, with her products quickly selling out at Boots and QVC.

Li said it felt completely surreal to step into Dragons’ Den because she never imagined she would be part of such an iconic show.

She said: “It was nerve-wracking, not just because I put years of work into creating Jude, but because it’s not just a business – it’s part of me, it’s about my story, so it was a big deal to put myself out there.

“It meant so much that the Dragons recognized the importance of what I was building and were able to see Jude’s potential impact.

“I was of course very flattered that such great business people believed my vision and were willing to invest in my company.

“But I’m so passionate about what I do and Jude’s future that I knew I had to stand my ground if I didn’t get exactly what I was looking for.

‘It wasn’t just about me – I felt strongly that a lower bid would reduce the input of my early investors, who had so much faith in my vision that they gambled on the company when it was just an idea.

She believes her experience represents “a common challenge for women in business”: the need to avoid the temptation to settle for less.

And especially when you negotiate with business giants and authority figures.

Despite turning down financial help from the business giants, Li said she learned a lot from the experience.

Li said, “The Dragons’ advice was invaluable, but I had to take what they said into account while staying true to my strategy.

“I was convinced that it was crucial to introduce Jude products into retail spaces, even if it was earlier than usual for similar companies.

“Being seen in these retail spaces, especially next to established brands like Tena pads, was not only a milestone for us, it symbolized a progressive shift in the incontinence industry.”

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards’ youngest daughter Lola Sheen was spotted out in Los Angeles this week – as her big sister Sami, 20, ramps up X-rated OnlyFans content.

Last October, Denise posted a glamorous photo of herself and Sami side-by-side with the caption, ‘Should my mini me @samisheen and I do another collab?’

Denise was slammed by fans online over the stunt, with one writing, ‘This is beyond foul.’

Another fan raged, ‘This is f*****g creepy, weird, inappropriate, and so many other things.’

Denise later backtracked and claimed that she wasn’t collaborating with Sami during an interview on The Viall Files last month.

However, Denise’s decision to ‘support’ Sami’s career as a self-titled ‘sex worker’ has been criticized by some in her close circles who fear it is ‘damaging’ her daughter’s reputation.

But this season, along with his Maidstone teammates, he has written and highlighted his name in the history books for their incredible FA Cup heroics.

Corne scored the winner at Ipswich, adding to the goals he scored against Stevenage and Barrow in the previous rounds, making the Stones only the second club from the bottom fifth tier to reach the last 16 of the FA Cup.

And Corne told SunSport: “When I first came here things were negative. The club had dropped out of the National League, there were a few management changes and the place was hostile.

“I was still a young player and the fans were not interested in me.

“There were negative reactions because of our poor results. After the defeat they expected immediate success in the lower division, but we did not get that immediately.

“Most of the negativity took place on social media and on the fan forum. So when I went out on race day I always tried not only to get a good result but also to win over a group of fans.

“I was loved at my previous club Welling, no matter how I played, because they held me in high regard. That wasn’t the case here at Maidstone at first.

Corne is a diamond in the rough from non-league.

Despite being a midfielder, the Stones forward is always good value for a goal when he appears in and around the penalty area.

And his brilliant result against the Tractor Boys was as clinical as anything you’ll see in the Premier League.

It’s a surprise that League One or Two clubs haven’t snapped him up yet, but perhaps one of them will this summer.

Corne, who grew up idolizing Frank Lampard and Claude Makelele, came through Fulham’s youth academy at the same time as Patrick Roberts and Cauley Woodrow.

But the West Londoners never offered him a scholarship.

So since then he has done the hard work in non-league with Greenwich Borough, Ashford Town, Welling United, Braintree and now Maidstone.

And he combines playing with coaching children at Welling and his cup performances have proven inspiring to the youngsters.

He said: “I coach boys and girls and do the under 13s, 15s and the school kids. All the kids were so excited to see us on TV.

“The parents come up to me and say, ‘Oh, they love you’ – so it was worth it. It’s good to know that Maidstone United is inspiring children.”

Corne’s goal at Portman Road will live on forever in football folklore.

And he described the jubilant moment the ball hit the back of the net and the scenes that followed: “There was a lot of surprise, a lot of shock and the 4,500 Maidstone fans just went crazy.

“Even now just talking about it gives me chills. It was a wonderful feeling and I have already watched the goal a few times!

“After the match the music was blaring and the scenes were like nothing I had ever experienced before.

“In the changing room I had myself a bath – because we don’t have one on our premises – and I just lay there chilling and taking it all in.

“The Ipswich players were classy and then wished us well.

“What we did that day gives you a bit of motivation.

“It’s something you dream about coming true and it reminds you why you still play the game.”

And while Corne gets a lot of credit for his goals, he is quick to point out that this was only achievable thanks to the incredible shifts made by the entire team.

Moreover, he was wise to follow his brother’s advice and remain confident in those difficult early days at Maidstone.

He said: “James has been my worst critic but also my biggest fan over the years. Without him, my family and teammates, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

An artist who spent almost forty years converting her country cottage into a ‘real dollhouse’ has been told the property is now ‘unsellable’.

Mary Rose Young and her husband Phil Butcher bought their house, which also serves as a pottery studio, in Lydney, Gloucestershire, in 1987.

At the time, the couple were able to purchase the property for £30,000 and decorated each room in their unique style.

Ten years ago, Mary and Phil decided they wanted to open a boutique hotel and put their house up for sale.

At the time, estate agents were convinced the house was worth £500,000. However, buyers may have been put off by the quirky interior design choices.

Mary explained in 2021: ‘I created this house around my own life and I didn’t think about it being sellable.

‘We live like two children in a dollhouse and, in retrospect, why would anyone else want to buy that? It’s like a playhouse for adults.

“I thought it might go to some crazy collector of my work who might want to buy it, but no one was interested.

“Only one person came to see it the year it was on the market, and they weren’t here long.

“I think they just came out of curiosity about the decorations and were never interested. The brokers became desperate.

‘I could have painted over all my work, but I didn’t want to. I love my home and the home really works for me.

‘I am a colorful person and even have pink hair. As I get older, I like it more and more.’

Mary appears to still live in the property and last posted about the house in October 2023.

Mary shared a photo of a rainbow perfectly framing the house, writing on Instagram: ‘Somewhere under the rainbow! This is Mary Rose Young’s home, studio and gallery, taken yesterday… and yes, it rained in The Forest.’

Furthermore, Mary says she sees nothing unusual in her design choices.

She explained, “I don’t notice how colorful it is anymore because I’ve lived here for so long.

“Many people are self-conscious and don’t say much when they see the decorations, but the right response is to smile and say ‘oh wow.’

‘It should make you feel like a kid walking into a candy store. I want people to feel like adults can have fun too.”

Mary Rose Young sells her pottery on her website and her Easter-inspired collection starts from £95 for an egg cup.

A woman has been forced to give up her Taylor Swift Eras experience after being offered a life-saving kidney transplant.

On the way to Swift’s show in Sydney on Friday, Queensland mother Tamara Gray received a life-changing phone call.

“I got a call from the hospital saying they had a kidney,” she said 9News.

The 35-year-old, who was listed for a kidney transplant, never expected she would receive a donation as she headed to Gold Coast Airport to catch her plane to Sydney.

“I’m not going to lie, there was a split second when I considered saying no [to the kidney]but you know what, I’m not crazy,” she said.

Tamara has IgA nephropathy, an autoimmune disease that affects the kidneys, and needs to spend 15 hours a week on dialysis.

The Swiftie said the timing of the call had been miraculous.

Her flight was delayed and she was about to board a plane to Sydney when she got the call.

“If I was on that flight I would have missed the call and I only have 30 minutes to respond or they will move on to the next recipient.”

Her friends attended the concert without her, but she says there is no bad blood between them.

It comes as Taylor made a terminally ill nine-year-old girl’s dream come true on Friday.

During the first of her shows in Sydney during her Eras tour, Swift chose young Scarlett, who is battling an aggressive form of brain cancer, as the recipient of her signature ’22’ fedora.

Taylor has established a tradition of giving a signed hat to a lucky fan in the crowd while she sings her song, 22.

Earlier on Friday, Scarlett’s stepmother Natalie had posted on social media that it was her stepdaughter’s wish to meet Taylor.

“Scarlett received a ‘wish’ from the Make A Wish Foundation and her wish was to meet Taylor Swift,” Natalie wrote in the post.

“Unfortunately, they told us this wasn’t possible, so through the power of social media and some generous people, we made it possible to attend the concert and received tickets.”

She then shared a photo of Scarlett, who has only 12 to 18 months to live, holding a poster that read, “Taylor, can I please have the 22 hat?”

Later during the concert, the young girl’s wish was Taylor’s command.

The singer invited Scarlett on stage, hugged her as she handed over the fedora and then tenderly kissed her hands.

Footage of the moment was shared on social media and many fans expressed their joy at the heartwarming scene.

“Sobbing,” one wrote, while another posted a series of crying emojis.

‘It’s the best!! She so deserves it!!” said another Swiftie.

“Aw, they picked the right Swiftie,” wrote another, while another declared: “Not even there and me and my sister are in tears.”

‘Looking my eyes out. So precious!’ another expressed.

Swift will perform four shows in Sydney until Monday, February 26.
