Struggling households could get free cash subsidies to help cover living costs through a little-known tool.

It contains a database of around 1,400 grants and support schemes and simplifies the process of checking your eligibility.

There are around 8,000 charities and organizations in Britain offering cash to help struggling families. These can be searched using the Turn2us Grants Search tool.

Not all subsidies have to be repaid. The tool searches the subsidies and lets you know if you qualify.

Each grant is different, but they can provide support for a range of different necessities, such as groceries and even kitchen appliances.

Other grants have specific requirements for spending. For example, a business grant must be spent on business expenses.

Similarly, an education grant may need to be spent on education or training costs.

One grant user who used the tool said after finding out he was eligible for a £1,000 grocery grant, he used it to cover the costs of a move.

They said: “It was a huge help at a difficult time for me.”

Christelle Tambi, product owner of the Grants Search tool at Turn2us, said: “Anyone can qualify for a grant from a charity that could provide some vital extra cash.

“The amount can range from £100 to £2,000 depending on what you need it for.

“Our free online Grants Search tool makes it easy to find out.”

“Answer a few quick questions about your situation and discover grants from UK charities in minutes. “

How to use the grant search function

First go to the Turn2us website (grants-search.turn2us.org.uk).

Then simply search for what is available specifically in your area by entering your zip code.

You will then be asked to provide details about yourself, such as your name and gender.

You can also go deeper by telling Turn2Us about your current health and work situation.

Once you have found a grant you think you qualify for, you can apply through Turn2Us.

Huge change to child benefit to save thousands of parents from ‘unfair’ taxation, Jeremy Hunt confirms

You must be logged into your Turn2Us account to register. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for free.

Each fund has a different time frame. This can vary from five days to three months.

If you are successful, you are usually allowed to spend the money on whatever you want, but cash is usually provided for essentials and bills.

Meanwhile, others are provided to help pay for white goods, which can come in handy if your fridge or freezer breaks down.

Who can submit an application?

Anyone can apply for a grant and many charities help people who cannot claim benefits due to their status in Britain.

Although it is not guaranteed that you will receive a subsidy.

Claiming benefits does not affect your right to apply.

What other grant tools can I use?

There are some other search tools you can use to find grants you may qualify for.

The government website has a grant search function with more than 100 government grant funds.

You can find the tool by searching the government website for ‘find a subsidy’.

Get Grants Funding Finder is a free resource for grant fundraisers with information about hundreds of grant funders, including what they fund, how much they give, and how to apply.

The grants are divided into twelve groups: arts and heritage, capital, children and young people, community, disability, education and employability, environment and animals, faith, health and wellbeing, school, sport and honorable groups.

What other support is available?

Councils in England are still providing support through the Household Support Fund, which is worth £842 million.

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt also expanded the Household Support Fund (HSF) for the fifth time, adding a further £500m to the pot.

What you are entitled to depends on where you live. Each local authority sets its own participation criteria.

If you have a disability and are working, you may be eligible for a grant worth up to €66,000.

The grants are available through the government’s Access to Work programme, which is administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

It may seem obvious, but you should check to see if you can qualify for benefits if you haven’t already done so.

The latest research from analytics firm Policy in Practice shows billions in benefits are going unclaimed, including £7.5 billion in Universal Credit.

The Sure Start Maternity Grant is available to new or expectant mothers and is worth up to £1,000.

The money is intended to cover the costs of having a child and for those receiving certain benefits, including Universal Credit and Pension Credit.

A total of three million people are eligible for the Warm Home Discount this winter, with most receiving the £150 payment automatically.

But there are those who need to apply before the March 31 deadline.

Are you missing out on benefits?

You can use a benefit calculator to check whether you are not missing out on money you are entitled to

Charity The Turn2Us benefits calculator figuring out what you could get.

Upright free calculator determines whether you are eligible for various benefits, tax credits and Universal Credit.

MoneySavingExpert.com and charity StepChange both have benefits tools powered by Entitledto’s data.

You can use The Policy in Practice calculator to determine which benefits you can receive and how much money you have left every month after paying your housing costs.

Exactly what you are entitled to will not be clear until you file a claim, but calculators can indicate what you may be eligible for.

A COUPLE have told how they bought a £100 painting at a house sale without realizing it was a lost masterpiece worth thousands of pounds.

The owners, from Suffolk, had hung the JMW Turner painting in their living room for thirty years.

The couple bought the artwork in the 1990s as part of a job during the eviction of a Georgian country house.

The family decided to hang the painting on the wall in their dining room in their home.

But the family didn’t know they owned a 19th-century treasure.

The painting had hung in our dining room for over 30 years – we frequently discussed that the photo might be Turner’s, but did not pursue it further.

Owners

The £100 bargain on a house sale turned into a windfall of almost £50,000.

The painting shows the entrance to Bishop Vaughan’s chapel in St David’s Cathedral and has the sign “W Turner” at the back.

Despite the authenticity mark, the couple thought it stood for Joseph Mallord William Turner, a 19th-century landscape artist.

The rare painting is Turner’s only completed architectural study on that subject.

HIDDEN TREASURE

One of the owners, who remains anonymous, said: ‘We bought it as a consignment of paintings at a house sale in the Suffolks in the early 1990s.

“The painting had hung in our dining room for more than thirty years. We regularly discussed that the photo could be of Turner, but did not pursue it further.”

It wasn’t until the family visited Pembrokeshire in 2022 that they discovered the truth behind the painting.

Their curiosity was aroused during a visit to St. David’s Cathedral.

Why is JMW Turner such an important artist?

JMW Turner was a child prodigy and studied at the Royal Academy of Arts from 1789, when he was only 14.

Turner opened his first gallery in 1804 and became professor of perspective at the Academy in 1807, lecturing there until 1828.

But one of the main reasons he was so unique was because he loved to paint live, from observation, “en plein air”, meaning in the open air.

In Turner’s day, such a practice was a rarity, as most artists worked in their studios.

He painted in all weathers, from misty sunrises to violent storms, with one famous story claiming that he once tied himself to the mast of a ship – just to experience the feeling of waves crashing around him.

In addition to his ethereal landscapes, Turner also created darker paintings that capture moments from history, including Blizzard: Hannibal and his Army Crossing the Alps.

He also enjoyed new technology, often painting steamboats and trains, which was quite a novelty in the mid-1800s.

They then rushed to the Tate Glore Gallery website to discover a replica of the painting.

The happy owner added: “After a trip to Wales in 2022, when we visited St. David’s Cathedral, our interest in our photo was reignited. At this point we went to the TATE Clore Gallery website and discovered the Turner sketch relating to our watercolour.

The archives of the Tate in South Wales possesses a similar but less developed drawing of the chapel.

Experts have verified the 13-by-9.5-inch watercolor as a Turner original.

The valuable item has now gone under the hammer at Cheffins in Cambridge for a whopping £37,000.

ONE OF THOUSANDS

Patricia Cross, from Cheffins, said: “This piece is an important new discovery that provides a glimpse into Turner’s early development as an artist.

“It is a wonderful example of his architectural drawing demonstrating his extraordinary attention to detail and his imaginative understanding of light and dark.

“It’s based on one of Turner’s first tours Wales as a professional artist and would have been completed as a presentation piece for one of his clients, back in his studio in London.

“The discovery of this new addition to Turner’s early works alongside the resurfacing of Chepstow’s previously untracked watercolor to date from a similar period, which we sold last year for £93,000, shows that Turner’s early watercolors are increasingly coming to the fore.

“It is the true definition of an auction house sleeper, and we were privileged to be able to offer it to the market.”

After his death in 1851, Turner left behind thousands of paintings and sketches.

It comes as a family discovered that a painting they had owned since the 1960s is actually a masterpiece that has been lost for a century.

The resurfaced painting has an estimated value of £42 million, but it remains a mystery how the family acquired the artwork.

Abigail (@designingabigail) shared the home transformation in a TikTok video.

She laid out a towel and a “Hello” welcome mat and then got to work hanging Easter eggs on her pink door.

Abigail attached hooks to her shingles and hung rattan baskets full of colorful flowers.

She also ‘planted’ stuffed carrots and pastel-coloured plastic Easter bunnies in the flower boxes outside her window.

Green grass confetti added a beautiful finishing touch to the Easter garden.

Using Rust-Oleum, she spray-painted a green bucket pastel blue and filled it with paper bags to give the inside height.

She tied it around the bucket with a giant pastel ribbon and finished the display with pink filling and large stuffed Easter bunnies.

Although the final look looked elaborate and expensive, she explained that the project cost her less than $30.

“Almost everything was from Dollar Tree,” she revealed.

One commenter asked how she managed to stick the egg decor on her door without damaging the frame.

“Just regular commando comics!” she replied.

The eggs were garden stakes from Dollar Tree, which I could easily remove the stick from before hanging them up.”

Others were impressed with her creative and affordable holiday project.

“Very cute!” said one admirer.

On the advice of consumer expert Helen Dewdney of the website The Complaining Cow, Lynsey Hope looked at her unused electrical appliances.

Mum-of-three Lynsey discovered she could rake in £1,330 by flogging them. Here’s how. . .

KITCHEN

MORPHY Richards soup maker, £20; Lakeland bread maker, £75; ninja ice cream maker, £100; Slush Puppy Maker, £20; Tefal pressure cooker, £50; Donut machine, £9; ninja smoothie maker, £35; Choc Fountain, £10

LYNSEY SAYS: “I always complain about how little space I have in my kitchen cupboards and that’s no surprise considering what I’ve built up over the years.

“There’s the ice cream machine that I’ve barely touched, while the soup maker and donut machine have only been used once.

“I’m very happy to sell this one and make some money.”

HELEN SAYS: “Unwanted items can accumulate, especially in the kitchen.

“Generally speaking, you want to get about half the original price, depending on the condition.

“Take shipping costs into account – eBay takes a commission on this, so very heavy items can end up being more expensive than a new one.

“For example, if something heavy sells for £15, after you deduct postage and fees, you may only be left with a few pounds.”

RYOBI garden lawn mower, £45; Karcher patio washing machine, £70; Ooni pizza oven, £120

LYNSEY SAYS: “I rarely venture into the garden shed, but decided to take a look and see what I could get rid of without annoying the man.

“We never have time to use the pizza oven and it takes up half the shed, so I think we can get rid of that.”

HELEN SAYS: “Garden items sell well at this time of year as the weather gets warmer.

“By using Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace you are less likely to have to pay postage.

“Try putting a little more on these sites than you want first and say ‘or the nearest offer’ – and then be prepared to negotiate.”

LAKELAND three level heated airer, £90; Karcher window vacuum cleaner, £35

LYNSEY SAYS: “The window vacuum is bulky and takes up space in an already cluttered hallway cupboard, so I’d like to get rid of it to make room for the things I actually use, like the iron and ironing board.”

HELEN SAYS: “Heated airers are currently selling well on sites such as eBay and Facebook Marketplace, depending on condition, between £10 and £90.

‘That might help Lynsey make the decision to sell hers.

“Always make sure your items are as described and not more worn than you imagine.”

TONIES Toniebox, £50; Star Wars BB8 alarm clock, £10; Samsung tablet, £10; Juice Sound Square Portable Speaker, £10

LYNSEY SAYS: “The children’s rooms are so full of toys that I forget about the technology they have built up.

“Olive, six, has an old tablet in her room, while the Toniebox is barely used and worth around £50.

“I put it on eBay and started getting offers right away.”

HELEN SAYS: “Children’s items such as the Toniebox often do well on Gumtree.

“The best time to sell is before Christmas, when items often go for more.

“It can also be a good idea to list everything at once, as people will be tempted to bid on more than one item and you can save on postage.”

HOMEDICS mini massage gun, £20; GHD Rise hot brush, £107; Fujifilm Instax mini 11 instant camera, £60; Russell Hobbs clothes steamer, £20; GHD hair straighteners, £25

LYNSEY SAYS: ‘There’s quite an appetite for the bedroom. The instant camera has been lying unopened in a drawer for over a year.

“I bought the GHD brush quite recently, but end up only using my GHD hair straighteners, of which I have two sets – so I’m planning to sell the old ones too.”

HELEN SAYS: “You may think you’re getting a good price on GHDs, but there are plenty of straighteners across all platforms, so they may not fetch as much as you’d expect.

“There is certainly still a market for old camera equipment – try specialist sites such as vintagecashcow.co.uk.”

LYNSEY SAYS: “I upgraded my Kindle last year and was planning on passing this Paperwhite model on to a friend, but he has since bought his own model.

“I can definitely get this from the lounge, together with the speaker and desk fan.

“It’s a cool room, so I don’t need the fan, even in summer.”

HELEN SAYS: “When temperatures start to get high, fans often sell out in stores, so it’s worth holding on to them until summer.

“Then put them on eBay and watch the bids rise.

“Make sure you have weighed and measured your items before listing them, and remember: a courier may be cheaper than Royal Mail.”

LYNSEY SAYS: “I hate this machine with a passion.

“We bought it to prevent damp before we had new windows installed, but it takes up so much space and I can’t remember the last time I turned it on.”

HELEN SAYS: “Dehumidifiers are interesting because prices vary greatly depending on the model.

“Meaco is a good brand, so they earn well.

“Shipping is expensive, so offering pickup can make these large items more attractive to both buyer and seller.”

LYNSEY SAYS: “Even if it’s not worth much, I might as well make some money from the laptop and free up some space.

“I haven’t used a camera since smartphones were invented and I’m not sure why I’m still sticking to the old Nokia.”

HELEN SAYS: “Many people are surprised at how much you can get for used laptops.

“Often people just buy them for spare parts.

‘You won’t get a pack of them, but they are worth something, so never throw them away before trying to sell them.

“Make sure you check website policies – for example, eBay has very strict policies about what electrical items can and cannot be sold.”

XBOX often treats players to new custom consoles based on popular games and TV shows.

We recently reported on the Final Fantasy 14 Xbox, at the time the most expensive console to date.

Featuring a custom Xbox console with a FF14 design that doesn’t work, and a fully functional Xbox Series X|S, it was rated more than twice as high as the usual custom consoles.

However, the latest custom console blows these prices out of the water, thanks to its eye-wateringly expensive custom vault.

To celebrate the launch of the Fallout TV show, Xbox is giving one fan the chance to get their hands on a custom console themed around the new series.

Unlike other giveaways that usually only include the console and controllers, this one has a fully functional vault.

The vault alone, which comes with a custom Fallout design and Vault Boy inside, is estimated at $4.5k (£3.5k).

This prize pack also includes a custom Xbox Series X with a white, static design. There is also a custom Fallout controller that is white with a yellow border.

All of these items bring the estimated value of the prize package to over $5,000 (£4,000).

To enter, you must be over 18 years of age and a resident of the United States.

You’ll then need to follow the official Xbox Twitter account and retweet the giveaway with #FalloutXboxSweepstakes.

Youngest Indian Millionaire: Infosys founder NR Narayana Murthy has gifted his four-month-old grandson Ekagrah Rohan Murthy Infosys shares worth Rs 240 crore, making Ekagrah Rohan Murthy in all likelihood India’s youngest millionaire.

To explain further, Ekagrah now owns 15,00,000 shares, equivalent to a 0.04 percent stake in Infosys, which is billed as India’s second largest information technology services company (according to a filing with the BSE).

With this share transfer, NR Narayana Murthy’s equity stake in Infosys has fallen from 0.40 per cent to 0.36 per cent, out of a total of over 1.51 crore shares.

The BSE filing stated that the transfer of shares took place ‘off-market’.

Ekagrah Rohan Murthy is the son of Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murty, Rohan Murthy who, along with his wife, Aparna Krishnan, announced the arrival of their son in November 2023.

The birth of Ekagrah was announced on November 10 by Rohan Murthy and daughter-in-law Aparna Krishnan and Narayan Murthy, inspired by the Sanskrit word uninterrupted meditation, named his grandson Ekagra.

Narayana Murthy founded Infosys in 1981. From then until 2002, he was the CEO of the company. He then served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2006.

In August 2011, Murthy retired from the company with the title of Chairman Emeritus. However, in 2013, he rejoined the company as executive chairman. During this time, his son Rohan Murthy worked as his executive assistant.

His daughter Akshata Murty is married to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

A little-known grant worth up to £66,000 is available to help people with disabilities stay in work.

To make things even easier, thousands of households can now apply for cash online instead of going through a lengthy paper application.

People with disabilities can claim grants of up to £66,000 to help them stay in work

Grants are available through the government’s Access to Work scheme, which is administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

The money can pay for specialist equipment such as a screen reader, remote video interpreters or support services so that someone with a disability can work from home.

It can also be used for transportation costs if the individual cannot use public transportation.

The money can also be used to do things like:

  • A support person or job coach who helps you at your workplace
  • A support service if you have a mental illness and are absent or find it difficult to work
  • Adjustments to the equipment you use
  • Specialist equipment
  • Disability awareness training for your colleagues
  • A communicator during a job interview
  • The cost of moving your equipment if you change locations or jobs

You do not need to receive disability benefits to apply for access to work.

And any benefits you already receive are unlikely to affect your application.

What is the arrangement for access to work?

The Access to Work program aims to help workers aged 16 and over in England, Scotland and Wales, who are disabled or have a physical or mental health condition, to remain in work.

It is an unrestricted fund that pays out up to £66,000 per person annually.

Since it is a grant, it means that you do not have to pay the money back.

Grants will be tailored to your needs and you will be allocated an Access to Work advisor who will work with you and your employer to assess which equipment or assistance is best.

You or your employer purchase the necessary items or services, and Access to Work will reimburse you up to the amount of the subsidy offered to you.

Nearly nine in 10 adults with disabilities claim that sport has stopped them from being lonely and has helped their mental health

Who is eligible for the scheme?

Access to Work grants are available if you are over 16 years old and your employer is based in England, Scotland or Wales.

A different system applies in Northern Ireland.

You must be about to start a job or probationary period, or already have a paid job or be self-employed.

If you have a job offer, you can apply for Access to Work up to 6 weeks before you start work.

Although there is no maximum income limit, if you are already receiving certain benefits while out of work, you may not receive a subsidy.

However, those receiving Universal Credit, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Income Support can still get help from Access to Work if they work more than an hour a week.

How do I apply for an Access to Work grant?

The Access to Work scheme pays grants of up to £60,000 per year per person to help disabled workers keep their jobs.

Check your eligibility before applying.

You can apply for Access to Work online or by telephone.

You need the following information:

  • Your contact details
  • Your workplace address and zip code
  • Information about how your condition affects your work and what support you think you need
  • Details of a contact person at the workplace who can confirm that you work there, if you are employed (they will not be contacted without your consent)
  • Your Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) number, if you are self-employed

If you need the form in another format, such as Braille, large print or an audio CD, please call the Access to Work Helpline.

You can apply online by visiting https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work/apply.

You can also sign up by calling the Access to Work helpline on 0800 121 7479.

How long does it take to receive a grant?

If you start work within four weeks, your application will be a priority.

You should call the Access to Work helpline if you do not hear about your application within a week of your application.

If you are already working, it may take up to 12 weeks before you receive an assessment.

Exactly what you are entitled to will not be clear until you make a claim, but calculators can indicate what you may be eligible for.

THOUSANDS of cash-strapped Britons can claim a one-off payment of £145 to help with rising living costs – but will have to act quickly to get the money into the bank.

The cost of living crisis has taken its toll on all of us, leaving many people to tighten their wallets.

But those on a low income or on certain benefits can receive free financial help from their municipality.

If you live in Windsor and Maidenhead borough, you can get £145 of free cash to cover food and energy costs.

The council has worked with 18 charity partners to decide who needs the help.

Since 2021, they have already served 2,821 residents and distributed 36,350 free school meal vouchers to families through our partnership.

Much of this support is aimed at those who are most struggling, including care leavers, older people and families.

The aid comes through the Household Support Fund, which is worth £842 million.

The money is provided by the government, which has distributed it to councils in England.

They then decide how to divide their share of the fund.

Applicants must also be in “severe financial need” and over 18 years of age.

Councilor Catherine del Campo, Cabinet Member for Adults, Health and Housing, said: “Our partnership with the community has been vital in ensuring residents have access to a wide range of support for living costs and has already helped so many people assisted.

“We know the cost of living remains high and it is very important that residents continue to reach out for support when they are struggling.

‘The cost of living affects everyone, and people should not feel ashamed about asking for help.

‘There are many people who want to help and you will not be judged regardless of your circumstances.

“The partnership we have created provides a sustainable source of support for residents, providing comprehensive support to residents that goes beyond government assistance.

“You can also make an appointment with our Financial Inclusion Team to ensure you claim everything you’re entitled to, and see our ‘Here to Help’ web pages for more support and advice on living costs around energy and water bills, rental costs, council tax, food, childcare, school meals, benefits and more.”

Meanwhile, Danielle Lane, community development officer at housing association Abri, said: “The collaboration between the council and the various support groups has been exceptional.

“We have all been involved in setting up the process and working together to resolve issues – this has made the process seamless and simple for everyone involved.

“The Cost of Living Partnership is now well established and will continue to look for ways to support each other and residents during the ongoing cost of living crisis.

“Over the past year we have supported more than 200 customers who urgently needed help with heating and family essentials.”

What should I do if my municipality is not on the list?

Although the final phase of this DWP Household Support Fund has now been fully distributed, the cost of living remains high and local partners are committed to working together to help residents access support.

The Government recently announced that the Household Support Fund will be further expanded, but allocations for councils and qualification criteria are yet to be confirmed.

It is best to contact your municipality to see what help is offered and whether you need to take action.

You can do this by using the government’s location tool on its website.

But you may want to act quickly because competition for the fund is fierce and once a municipality uses up its share, there is nothing left.

That said, the Household Support Fund has been extended several times since it was first launched in October 2021, so it could be extended again when the current batch closes, in March 2024.

Gucci treated a top saleswoman who sold $50 million worth of designer goods like a slave, mocking her age and bullying her until she withered away and her hair fell out, a lawsuit alleges.

Tracy Cohen worked for eighteen years as a customer advisor sales associate for Gucci’s Chicago store on Michigan Avenue. She sold more than $50 million worth of goods, including $5 million in 2021 alone. But in October 2023, she was fired without severance.

Cohen, 54, claims she was discriminated against because of her age and that bosses favored those under 40. She also claims she was targeted because of her gender and disability: anxiety and depression.

She was told she was “crazy” and “old” because she complained about working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Cohen says she has been denied thousands of commissions to punish her for filing a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Illinois Human Rights Division.

In the complaint, Cohen alleged that Gucci’s top boss ignored her pleas. When she went to her manager and human resources, hoping to finally get help, she was told she had been suspended and was “being investigated.”

The lawsuit against Kering, Gucci, Gucci, Gucci America, Inc. and Gucci North American Holdings was filed on January 22, 2024 in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division.

The lawsuit alleges that “during her employment, Gucci, instead of wooing her with recognition and giving her opportunities for success, instead consumed nearly every second of her life and exploited her through a modern-day slavery program of psychological abuse, manipulation and discrimination.” with her collaborators – Gucci and Kering – destroying her sense of self and putting her in constant fear of losing her job.”

Cohen was hired by Gucci in 2006. In 2018, she became the number one salesperson at Gucci Chicago, surpassing at least twenty other sales associates. She was responsible for 15 percent of the store’s entire monthly quota.

In 2021 – the year she moved $5 million worth of goods – she received a bonus of just $20,000, it is claimed.

According to the complaint, Gucci and Kering devised an elaborate scheme of deception to induce Cohen to sell more Gucci products while she remained in fear of losing her job.

“Defendants controlled nearly all aspects of Plaintiff’s life by isolating her from society, requiring her to work 24 hours a day while connected to her electronic sales equipment, making negative comments about her age and mental health, and giving her a monthly sales quota that was nearly two to three times the quota of her peers,” the complaint said.

When she was suspended, something that has never happened in her 18-year career, she was told she was “under investigation.”

The company continued to punish her, telling her she could still sell from home during the five-day suspension. But bosses banned her from speaking to any of her co-workers while she was “under investigation,” further isolating, traumatizing and bullying her, the lawsuit alleges.

The lawsuit alleges that co-workers confided in her that they witnessed the suspects assaulting her, but never came to her aid. Instead, they watched her physically deteriorate,” the complaint said.

A male employee under the age of 40 told him, “Why don’t you just quit,” after watching her manager bully her, according to the complaint.

She was also denied an assistant to help her manage her excessive workload, according to the complaint.

“Plaintiff continued to work under exploitative conditions as her hair fell out, and as she visibly wasted away to skin and bones, suffering the physical manifestation of Defendants’ disparate treatment of her,” the complaint said.

While in the top position, she continually told her superiors that she was suffering from exhaustion, anxiety and depression, and that their behavior was exacerbating her disabilities.”

When she confronted both Gucci and Kering, she claimed the managers had bullied her. When she asked to be transferred to another store, they refused, while transferring younger, non-disabled, less successful colleagues to other locations.

In September 2022, when she went to then-president and CEO of Gucci, Marco Bizzarri, who had reportedly created a “values framework” dedicated to women’s rights and equality in the workplace, hoping she would listen to him, the lawsuit that he ignored it.

“President Bizzarri ignored Plaintiff, the female employee who generated nearly $50 million in revenue for Gucci and Kering during her nearly 18-year career,” the lawsuit said.

Cohen claims in the lawsuit that she was excluded from prestigious opportunities, and that she felt guilty when she tried to take time off. One such instance was when her father was dying and she had to care for him, she claimed.

In March 2022, when She was asked to nominate a dear customer for Billie Eilish concert tickets. Management told her her customer choice was too old, according to a letter reviewed by DailyMail.com.

“I believe the business community is looking for Gen Z or Millennial customers – he could be a good fit for Elton John,” the letter said in part.

The lawsuit also details Gucci’s alleged abusive and exploitative labor practices around the world. Cohen says Gucci officials maintained sweatshop conditions in China, forced pregnant women to have abortions and ignored sexual harassment complaints.

She further highlighted the luxury goods giant’s alleged decision to push new mothers out of their jobs, leaving women suffering from incontinence, calling women “crazy” and forcing female models to wear straitjackets against their will on the catwalk.

Cohen’s attorney Tamara Holder told DailyMail.com that “they fired her because she spoke out.”

“We’re highlighting Tracy’s case, but other women are coming forward. We look forward to the opportunity to showcase how these fashion brands treat women in the workplace.

“We have had other women come forward – high-achieving women – from other locations,” she added.

Holder said the first interaction she had with the lawyers was a “threat” and plans to litigate it in court.

“The threat was that they demanded I drop the human trafficking charges from the lawsuit and threatened me with sanctions if I didn’t do so.”

Holder said that since the story broke, five additional women from the Seattle area, Houston and California have come forward.

Holder said: ‘All from various Gucci retail locations across the country with virtually identical claims.’
