10-year-old girl found dead with throat slit: Shocked parent makes horrific discovery in Gold Coast home

A 10-year-old girl was found dead in her home with her throat slit.

One of the girl’s parents made the horrific discovery at a home in Emerald Lakes in Carrara, on the Gold Coast, just after 6pm on Tuesday.

Police and ambulance were sent to the building, but the girl could not be saved.

A crime scene has been designated.
