13 law enforcers now, while 6 new ASGs appointed – Times of India
NEW DELHI: For the first time, the Union government has the full strength of 13 legal officers to represent it in South Carolina. Six new faces, senior lawyers hailing from different states and some of whom have expertise in their fields, have been appointed as additional advocates general.
Besides the existing ASGs – SV Raju, N Venkataraman, KM Natraj, Aishwarya Bhati and Vikramjit BanerjeeThe Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of senior advocate S Dwarkanath, Archana P. Dave, Satya Darshi Sanjay, Letters ChaharRaghvendra P Shankar and Rajkumar B Thakare (Raja Thakare) as ASGs for the SC.
With the addition of six more, the strength of the ASGs will increase to 11, besides the top officials of Attorney General R Venkataramani and Attorney General Tushar Mehta.
