13-year-old girl from Chennai sets world record with 800 kg millet portrait of PM Modi – Times of India
A 13-year-old student from Chennai, Presley Shekinahhas a new world record by creating a portrait of Prime Minister Narendra Modi using 800 kg of millet. The painting, measuring 600 square feet, was completed in a non-stop session of 12 hours as a tribute to the Prime Minister on his upcoming birthday on September 17.
Presley Shekinah, the daughter of Pratap Selvam and Sankeerani, is currently in class 8 at Vellammal schoola private institution in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu. The family lives in the Kolpakkam area of the city.
The young artist began her endeavor at around 8:30 in the morning and completed the portrait at 8:30 on Sunday. In a video posted on social media, the girl can be seen engrossed in her artistic endeavor, paying meticulous attention to every detail of her work.
Her achievement has been recognized by the Unico World Record and registered under the student achievement category. R Sivaraman, the director of the organization set up to recognize artistic talent, presented Presley Shekinah with a world record certificate and medal in recognition of her achievement.
Presley’s achievement was celebrated by the school’s principal, headmaster, parents and family members, all of whom expressed their appreciation for the young girl’s talent and dedication.
