With the cold winter weather here to stay, many of us are looking for gadgets to keep the house from getting moldy and to dry clothes quickly.

Fortunately, B&Q has the answer with the Blyss 16l/d dehumidifier.

And the best part? The dehumidifier currently costs only €99 instead of €190, saving you a total of €91.

Gabrielle wrote: “Save 91! B&Q.”

While it may seem like an expensive gadget to buy for your home, many people rave about its multifunctionality.

Not only does it help prevent condensation from forming on windows, which can lead to mold, but it also dries your clothes in no time.

B&Q bosses say: “This electric appliance efficiently reduces excess moisture, promotes a healthier environment and saves energy.”

The dehumidifier costs just 35p to run for an hour – a significant difference from running the heating for an hour, which costs £1.50.

It comes with a 2.4 liter tank to remove excess moisture in the home, including your wet laundry.

The post went viral on the Facebook page, Extreme Coupons and Bargains UKwhere it received praise from members of the group.

My windowsills were dripping wet with condensation every morning, but with a purchase of € 2.99 I got rid of it immediately

One person wrote: “Drying clothes indoors traps moisture and promotes moisture.

“These dehumidifiers collect that moisture in a tank, which helps clothes dry faster and removing that moisture from the room mine is great, especially now that the cold, damp weather is forcing the windows to be closed.

Another commented: “I have this, have had it for two years now and love it as my room can dry laundry and it stops condensation on my windows.”

“I bought two and they work great. The laundry dried quickly,” wrote a third.

Even more winter washing tips

Tackling winter laundry can be a challenge, but these helpful tips can help you stay on top of it:

  • Use a dehumidifier: Place a dehumidifier in your drying room to speed up the drying process and prevent moisture.
  • Spin cycle boost: Run an extra spin cycle on your washing machine to remove excess water from clothes, which will reduce drying time.
  • Indoor drying rack: Invest in a good quality indoor drying rack and place it near a radiator or in a well-ventilated area.
  • Tumble dryer balls: Add dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
  • Space saving hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable clothesline to maximize indoor drying space.
  • Microfiber towels: Place microfiber cloths over your drying rack to absorb extra moisture from hanging clothes.
  • Partly dry outside: Hang the clothes outside on dry days before bringing them inside to dry.

These hacks can help you keep your laundry routine efficient and your clothes fresh, even during the colder months.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “In the basket!”

“We have this one, it’s fantastic, worth its weight in gold… tempted to buy another one in case it breaks in time,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I had this, it’s good. It took about 3 years to get it in! It dries the laundry excellently.”
