Maharashtra exit poll results 2024: advantage for Mahayuti, say pollsters | India News – Times of India
Exit polls released by Matrize, Peoples Pulse and Chanakya gave an upper hand to the Eknath Shinde-led Mahayuti in the Maharashtra elections.
According to Matrize projections, the BJP led Mahayuti Alliance It is expected to win between 150 and 170 seats in the 288-member assembly. The Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) is expected to win between 110 and 130 seats. Smaller parties and independents are expected to win 8 to 10 seats.
The Peoples Pulse exit polls gave the Mahayuti alliance 175-195 seats and the MVA 85-112 seats.
The Chanakya exit poll has predicted a strong performance for the Mahayuti alliance in Maharashtra with 150-160 seats. The MVA is expected to secure 130 to 138 seats.
However, the P-Marq has predicted a neck-and-neck battle between the two alliances. According to the exit poll data, Mahayuti is expected to win 137 to 157 seats.
The agency has predicted 126 to 146 seats for the MVA.
The above figures are projected based on exit poll surveys. It will be interesting to see if the D-Day exit poll results on November 23 hold up.
In the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, the BJP had won 105 seats, the undivided Shiv Sena 56 seats, the undivided Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) 54 seats and the Congress 44 seats.
