While addressing a media spokesperson, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra said the Congress leader said they are doing the work of the judiciary while talking about the charges against Adani and added, “where the mother-son duo ( Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi) is not on bail they are doing the work of the judiciary! Half of them are out on bail and they are doing the work of the judiciary!”
“Today Rahul Gandhi again held a press conference. Again he showed the same behavior and set things up the same way he has done so far. There was nothing new in PC. He has a few names, ways of doing that on PC and trying to level allegations against BJP and Prime Minister Modi,” Patra said in a press article.
“I remember Rahul Gandhi had appeared in a similar manner on the Rafale issue in 2019. He had claimed that there would be a big reveal. During the Covid pandemic, he similarly held press conferences about vaccines. later had to apologize to the Supreme Court,” he added.
The comments came after Gandhi addressed US prosecutors’ claims that Adani and associates paid $250 million in bribes to Indian officials. He emphasized that the businessman had violated both Indian and American law.

Meanwhile, at today’s press conference on the US allegations, Patra said: “Today we are seeing in the media since this morning an issue about a company. There is a case against that company in the US. There are accusations and counter-accusations. We are clear about it convinced that, as far as the company and the case against it are concerned, the company will make a statement and defend itself. Justice will take its own course.”

He also stated that the whole matter is about agreements on power purchase and agreements on state distribution companies (SDCs). For the distribution of electricity between the US and India, there are two companies: an Indian company and an American company.

BJP’s Amit Malviya questions timing of Adani charges report, says Congress ready to support George Soros
BJP leader Amit Malviya on Thursday said that all the states mentioned in the alleged bribery scandals are ruled by the opposition.
He also said the timing of the report, just before the session of Parliament and the “imminent” presidency of Donald Trump, raises several questions.
“But be that as it may, the essence of the allegation is that US and Indian companies agreed to supply 12 GW of power to the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). This was conditional on SECI entering into a PPA with state-owned electricity distribution companies. There was a partnership between Adani Green Energy and an American renewable energy source, Azure Power, where Azure was allocated 4 GW and Adani Green Energy 8 MW,” Malviya said on X.
“Therefore, between July, the Adanis (in collusion with Azure Power; an American company) paid the equivalent of $265 million to SDCs based in Odisha (BJD ruled), Tamilnadu (DMK), Chattisgarh (Congress) and Andhra Pradesh (YSRCP). February 21 and 22 (by far the largest for AP),” he added.
He further stated that all the states mentioned in the allegations were ruled by the opposition at the time.
The BJP leader also said that an Indian court could similarly, on legitimate grounds, accuse US companies of bribing US government officials to deny them access to Indian markets.
