Dana White is making a shocking political U-turn after endorsing Donald Trump in the election

Dana White was a quasi-permanent fixture in Donald Trump’s campaign as he threw his full support behind the Republican candidate in his bid for re-election.

The UFC president, who is close friends with the 78-year-old, has been such a staunch supporter that he even stole the spotlight during Trump’s victory celebrations at Mar-a-Lago after beating Kamala Harris at the polls.

But now that Trump has sealed his return to the White House, the UFC chief wants nothing to do with the newly elected president’s second term — and not politics at all.

“I’m never doing this again,” he told The New Yorker. ‘I don’t want anything to do with this s***. It’s dirty. It’s disgusting. I don’t want anything to do with politics.’

It appears the Republican Party cannot rely on White for support in the future, now that his alliance extends to Trump, and Trump alone.

With Trump’s presidential campaign marking White’s first and last foray into politics, it’s no real surprise that the 45th president is the sole recipient of White’s political support.

White has been a longtime friend and staunch supporter of Trump, with the former president reiterating his support for the UFC over the years.

Trump asked the UFC president and CEO to speak on his behalf at the last three Republican National Conventions before inviting him to the victory party on stage after this month’s election victory.

White was invited to say a few words at the podium on stage, and after some glowing praise for Trump, he launched into what seemed like a victory speech of his own.

And the UFC president continued to praise Trump this week, calling him one of the toughest men he knows.

“Donald Trump is tougher and tougher than anyone,” White also told The New Yorker. “All you can do is pray that you’re a quarter of the man Donald Trump was when a man tried to take seven shots to his head with a high-powered rifle with a goddamn scope on it.”

And Trump has returned White’s support in recent decades, publicly backing the UFC — and even claiming to be its savior.

Trump has regularly attended fight nights, most recently arriving at Madison Square Garden last weekend for UFC 309 with Elon Musk and White in tow.

“As the UFC has grown, there have been a lot of people who have jumped on the bandwagon and become fans,” White said. “Trump was there from the beginning.”

Trump basked in his post-election glory at the UFC event – his first since his re-election – as American fighter Jon Jones appeared to dedicate his victory to the newly elected president.

Jones emerged victorious for the president-elect at Madison Square Garden, where he got into the patriotic spirit after a knockout win over Stipe Miocic.

Jones and Trump shook hands and capped off a night of fighting that was as much politics as it was punches in a raucous MSG where “USA!” chants echoed throughout the arena.

“Thank you very much to President Donald Trump for being with us tonight,” Jones said in the cage before handing Trump the belt and imitating the president-elect’s now-iconic arm shimmy dance.

“I’m proud to be a great American champion. I am proud to be a Christian American Champion.”

After leaving the cage, the UFC heavyweight champion made his way to where Trump was sitting with Musk and presented him with his championship belt.
