The best Primark buys for autumn 2024

Fall is just around the corner and it’s time to make some additions to our cozy wardrobes.

Here, Fabulous fashion editor Clemmie Fieldsend reveals her top 5 purchases at Primark this autumn.

The Edit overcoat£60

I know what you’re thinking: ‘£60 for Primark?’ Yes, it’s a higher price tag than we’re used to from Primark, but it’s worth every penny.
It’s from their Edit range, which is more premium than the rest of their collection and is built to last.
It’s a blended wool blend that’s durable and warm, plus a timeless, straight silhouette that’s slightly oversized and will last this season and for years to come.

Extra large shopper with crocodile effect£16

Big bags are back… Finally in a big way.
This tote bag exudes luxury with its crocodile effect and burnt orange colour, plus it’s ideal for packing your laptop, lunch, spare shoes, handbag – basically everything you need for the day – all for £16.

Rita Ora work jacket£32

Field jackets can be found on the backs of celebrities and catwalk models this season, with designer brands Barbour, Burberry and Bottega all favoring the functional look.
Great for wearing over jeans or contrasting with a floral or flowy dress, they are the perfect transitional jacket.

Square neck midi dress with leopard print£18,

You may have seen, heard and read that leopard print isn’t going anywhere in the fall, so to define the trend, this dress is a must.
Sleeves? Bill. Midi length? Bill. Ultra flattering square neck? Bill. It has it all.
Combine with black knee-high boots or your favorite sneakers during the day and dress up with gold heels and accessories in the evening.

Barrel denim jeans£16

Barrel, balloon, horseshoe: whatever you want to call them, this is this season’s must-have pant shape.
I tried Primark’s pair and they fit like a dream, are comfortable and flattering.
So if you don’t think you have anything that’s quite on trend, swapping your favorite denim for this style will bring you right up to date.

One person said: “My goodness that looks a lot more £££££ – that is stunning.”

To this Jade replied: “Really!! I couldn’t believe how good quality it was.”

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

How does Primark do it? Continue to provide trendy items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it is still only four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • Although their clothing offers the “latest trends”, they “do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And finally, they try “to be as efficient as possible in transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our T-shirts so they can be placed directly on the shelves.”

A third commented: “Beautiful.”

But while everyone loved the dress, there was one user who wasn’t so sure.

One person slammed: “Too much.”

But stunned by the comment, Jade replied: “Too many sequins at Christmas? That is blasphemy.”
