Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) once teased some upcoming features of its much-awaited Activa electric scooter. Honda Activa E with dual interchangeable batteries

Honda has unveiled the new teaser on its official social media account, revealing some new hints about the upcoming car. According to the tweet, the EV scooter will be equipped with two battery packs. The teaser further revealed that the scooter will come with swappable batteries, which could make use of Honda’s Mobile Power Pack swappable batteries. Interestingly, at the Bharat Mobiltiy Expo 2024, HMSI showcased its electric Benly e-scooter, which used similar battery configurations, so you could expect the upcoming Activa E to have this configuration.

The brand also recently showed off another teaser teaser which revealed that it will come with at least two trims. The base variant will come with a standard TFT display, while the higher spec model will have a multi-colour screen interface. The advanced display shows essential information including battery charge status, available range, current speed and selected driving mode.

Honda Activa E Expected Features and Specifications

According to reports, the electric scooter is expected to deliver a range of 64 miles in the standard riding mode. The brand could also add a sport mode option for better power delivery. The powertrain configuration could also include a swingarm-mounted motor, similar to the architecture seen in other electric scooters in the market segment. This setup is intended to optimize weight distribution and driving characteristics.

The battery packs will be removable, allowing them to be quickly exchanged at charging stations. Apart from this, the higher variant is also said to feature turn-by-turn navigation functionality and music playback controls. The vehicle could also come with LED lighting elements which could be standard across both variants. Pricing details are yet to be announced by HMSI, although market speculation points to a competitive position in the segment.
