The news surprised the parents, who claimed that the convicted person should not be near children anywhere.

The sex offender was charged in 2010 due to the sharing of sexually explicit images of minors on Limewire, a platform for sharing person to person, reports the Johnson County Post.
He pleaded the following year guilty of distribution or reception of child pornography via the internet and was sentenced to eight and a half year in prison plus seven years of supervision after release.
But he will stay in the register of sex offenders for the next 17 years, because at the time of his arrest, the police found hundreds of photos and videos of naked girls between the ages of one and 14 – including a photo with a girl of six to eight years old Sexually abused, according to Fox 4.
“There is no way in which I would leave someone like that around the children,” said Daubert, who noticed that district officials did not even inform the parents about the decision to allow him on campus.
Natasha Goellner, a mother of a girl at the school, also wrote on social media that her daughter was on the dance floor when the man started recording.

Goellner and at least nine other parents e -mailed district officials about the incident in the aftermath.
In an e -mail back, who posted Goellner online, said chief inspector Tonya Merrigan that the district policy allows registered sex offenders with family members in the district to come to school events and to be followed during them.
“This process is designed to maintain the safety and well -being of all students, while the student can have his parent or guardian in the activity,” she explains.
She noted that the requests are 'rare' and 'carefully revised' and said that in this case the Safety and Security Director was informed of the presence of the sex offender and 'a possible safety threat has continued to assess.
“That said, I asked an immediate assessment of these administrative guidelines with direction to provide extra clarity about the specific steps needed when considering a special request.”

The Board of Education will now assess the policy during its in March meeting to tackle who can allow the requests, specific expectations for supervision, photo boundaries and family reports.
There would then be a 30-day pattern assessment period before the revised policy was approved in April.
“We remain committed to maintaining a safe and supporting school environment,” a spokesperson for the district told FOX 4. “This policy update will reflect our continuous dedication to the safety of students.”
Both Daubert and Goellner now say that they are planning to be involved in the assessment process of the district and will also contact the state legislators to see how they can influence the Studies Act – who currently does not prohibit sex offenders from entering school buildings.
