But if you use an iPhone, there is bad news.
Apple has removed its data security tool at the highest level in the UK, known as Advanced Data Protection (ADP).
ADP protects data stored in iCloud with end-to-end coding, which means that the data can only be seen by the user who owns the ownership, and only on his trusted devices.
The decision to remove the tool comes shortly after the British government asked for the right to see data.
“Apple can no longer offer Advanced Data Protection (ADP) in the United Kingdom to new users and the current British users will eventually have to disable this security function,” said an Apple spokesperson.
“We are seriously disappointed that the protection of ADP will not be available to our customers in the UK, given the continuous rise of data breaches and other threats for the privacy of the customer.”

What is advanced data protection?
Advanced Data Protection (ADP) is the highest level of Apple's cloud data security and is designed to protect your data with end-to-end coding.
Until now, this has led to no one else access to your data – not even Apple, and this data even remains safe in the case of a data breach in the cloud.
However, ADP has now removed ADP as a function for new users in the UK, in response to a request earlier this month from the British government.
“Improving the security of cloud storage with end-to-end coding is more urgent than ever before,” said Apple's spokesperson.
'Apple is committed to offering our users the highest level of security for their personal data and hopeful that we can do this in the United Kingdom in the future.
“As we have often said before, we have never built a back door or master key to one of our products or services and we will never do that.”
What does this mean for iPhone users?
Fortunately, the removal has no influence on the 14 iCloud data categories that are standard end-to-end coded.

This includes data such as iCloud Keychain and Health, as well as communication services such as iMessage and Facetime.
“Apple does not have the coding keys for these categories and we cannot help you restore this data if you lose access to your account,” Apple explains on the website.
However, nine iCloud categories are now only protected by standard data protection, without option for end-to-end coding.
These nine categories are iCloud Back -Up, iCloud Drive, photos, notes, memories, safari leaf alloys, Siri snelves, speech memos, wallet and Freeform.
“Standard data protection is the standard setting for your account,” Apple explains on its website.
'Your iCloud data will be coded during transport and stored in a coded format at rest.
'The coding keys of your trusted devices are secured in Apple data centers, so that Apple can decode your data on your behalf when you need it, such as when you sign up for a new device, restore a backup or restore your data after you After you I forgot your password.
“As long as you can successfully register with your Apple account, you have access to your back -ups, photos, documents, notes and more.”
From today, Apple ADP can no longer offer new users.
And if you are in the UK and have already engaged it, Apple says that it will soon give guidelines on what to do.
The tech giant cannot automatically disable ADP and instead you get a period to switch it off to continue to use your iCloud account.
ADP remains available everywhere outside the UK.
Earlier this month, the British government demanded to gain access to encrypted data stored by Apple users in its cloud service.
The requirement was conceived by the Home Office under the Investigatory Powers Act (IPA), which force companies to provide information to law enforcement agencies.
At the time, Apple refused to comment, but pointed out on its website that it regards privacy as a 'fundamental human right'.
