Elsewhere in the interview, Mr. Trump also renewed his attack on the Lord Zensky and claimed that Ukraine negotiated with 'no cards'.
“I watched for years and I have seen him negotiate without cards,” said the American president.
“He has no cards. And it makes you sick. It just makes you sick. And I've had it. He has been at a meeting for three years and nothing has been done.
'So I don't think it's very important to be at meetings, to be honest. He makes it very difficult to close deals. '
Trump also claimed that Mr Putin wants to 'close a deal' after the US and Russian officials gathered earlier this week for conversations in Saudi Aarabia.
And he suggested that the Russian president “doesn't have to close a deal” because he could complete an invasion of Ukraine if he wanted. ”
