RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das was discharged hours after being hospitalized in Chennai
Reserve Bank of India Governor Shaktikanta Das was discharged from Apollo Hospital in Chennai on Tuesday evening after a brief hospitalization for acidity, a central bank spokesperson confirmed. Badger is reportedly in stable condition.
Earlier on Tuesday, Das was admitted to hospital for observation. The RBI quickly issued a statement to address the situation: “Reserve Bank of India Governor Shri Shaktikanta Das suffered from acidity and was admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai for observation. He is doing well now and will be discharged within the next 2-3 hours. There is no cause for concern.”
The central bank reiterated that Das’ health is stable and he is doing well.
