‘India and US stronger by working together,’ says US Secretary of State Antony Blinken | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday that India and United States are stronger by working together and strengthening both nations. He shared these thoughts after meeting External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar at the G7 meeting in Fiuggi, Italy.
Blinken told X: “The US and India are stronger when we work together. Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and I met today in Italy to discuss the importance of our continued close collaboration to promote global security and prosperity.”
After their discussion, State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “The United States is committed to continuing to work closely with India to address global security challenges.”

The dialogue between Blinken and Jaishankar reinforced both countries’ commitment to strengthening their bilateral ties, as stated in Miller’s official summary of the meeting.
Blinken in a separate post on Together, we will strengthen a free and open Indo-Pacific across the Taiwan Strait, on the Korean Peninsula and in the South China Sea.”

Earlier on X, Jaishankar also shared details of their discussion, which covered global affairs and the progressive partnership between India and the US.
The Indian Foreign Minister also held important discussions with his counterparts from the US, South Korea, Japan and Italy during the G7 Foreign Ministers meeting.

“Discussed opportunities in the areas of technology, innovation, clean energy, fertilizers, railways and investments. We also exchanged perspectives on IMEC, Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific. The recently announced Joint Strategic Action Plan provides direction for our activities. I look look forward to welcoming him to India in 2025,” he added.
