You’ll want to grab this $1 Hulu Black Friday deal before it dries up

Black Friday brings us another streaming service deal up for grabs thanks to a special promo for Hulu. If you have been waiting for the right time to subscribe stream original shows like Shogun, The Bear or Only Murders in the Building, it’s a great time to take advantage of Hulu’s holiday offer to get the ad-based subscription for $1 per month for 12 months. Currently the regular price is $10 per month. The deal is open to new customers and those who haven’t had a Hulu subscription in the past 30 days, and reduces the monthly price by 90%.

This discount runs from Wednesday, November 27 through Monday, December 2 at 11:59 PM PST and applies only to the standalone Hulu ad-supported plan. The deal excludes current Hulu subscribers, those with the Max bundle, and customers with any Disney bundle, including the Disney Basic Duo plan with ads. The catch? You should be billed directly through Hulu and not through a third party like Roku or Amazon.

Hulu has more than just entertaining originals and FX content. The US-based service streams live news, network TV shows and movies from major studios like Disney (watch Alien: Romulus now), Searchlight Pictures, Fox and more. It’s the only place where you can watch the anime series Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and you can watch primetime favorites like Grey’s Anatomy, Abbott Elementary, High Potential, and Family Guy on the platform. There’s a lot of holiday content airing this season, but if you’re into streaming TV, this Black Friday deal might be a must-have.

As an added bonus, you have the option to sign up for a Starz add-on for $1 per month for six months. It’s available to current or new Hulu subscribers who don’t have a Starz account. Starz, home to Outlander, the Power universe, Sweetpea, and a host of TV shows and movies, typically costs $11 per month.

Why this deal matters

In case you missed it, Disney raised prices on all of its streaming services in October. Hulu with ads now costs $10 per month, while the ad-free plan goes up to $19. If you don’t have Hulu at all as a standalone plan or as part of a bundled package, the Black Friday discount will save you $9 – an incredibly low price that is hard to beat in the streaming world.
