Brits rate Singapore Airlines as the number 1 airline, with THREE British airlines in the top 10
Singapore Airlines has been named the best airline in the world by the British.
The award comes after a YouGov poll, which ranked the company first among the 28 major airlines in net customer satisfaction.
A total of 74 percent said they were satisfied with Singapore Airlines, putting it ahead of Emirates, which came in second with a score of 71.9 percent.
In third place is Air New Zealand (70 percent), followed by Virgin Atlantic in fourth (63.9 percent) and Jet2 rounds out the top five with a satisfaction score that is slightly lower: 63.8 percent.
Next comes Qatar Airways (6th, 62 percent), then Cathay Pacific (7th, 59 percent), Etihad Airways (8th, 59 percent) and Norwegian (9th, 57 percent).
British Airways finishes in tenth place thanks to a satisfaction score of 52.6 percent.
The British flag carrier is performing better in the rankings showing which airlines respondents are considering booking with in the next twelve months.
Just over 52 percent of Brits said they were likely to book a flight with British Airways in the coming year, making it No. 1 in the top 10 of the rankings.

EasyJet comes in second, with 49 percent of Brits surveyed considering booking a flight with the budget airline in the next twelve months.
Jet2 (3rd, 37 percent), Ryanair (4th, 32 percent) and Virgin Atlantic (5th, 31 percent) round out the top five.
Emirates (6th, 28 percent), TUI Airways (7th, 27 percent) and KLM (8th, 20 percent) are the next most ‘considered’ airlines.
Qatar Airways (ninth, 19.7 percent) and Etihad Airways (10th, 18 percent) complete the top 10.
These results will of course be influenced by the destinations served and the size of the fleet.
