In one video on TikTokshe pulled out the sides of her hair to show where her son Silas had cut it.

And at the back of her head, tucked into her messy bun, were several tubes glued so tightly that she couldn’t get them out.

“I tried really hard to get those damn things out of my hair,” she said.

“I’ve tried olive oil, I’ve tried coconut oil, I’ve tried acetone. I’ve literally tried it.

“This will literally make me cut off most of my hair.”

Sarah continued to sob and said: “I didn’t know it was that bad. I didn’t know it was that damn bad.

“Oh, I’m literally in a spiral. I’m in crisis. Yeah, I’m not doing well.”

People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: “Props to you two year old, I can never find the super glue let alone get the lid off!

“You have a smart boy!”

“Like I would have died with my four foot hair if my son had done that,” another added.

‘We would shave our heads and not lie.

“He has a foot of bangs on top of his ponytail, that would be gone too.”

“Omg I’m so sorry mom! You must have been so tired,” a third added.

While others insisted her locks could still be saved.

“You can still make a nice slickback pony,” one person wrote.

“Don’t cut it off, let it grow into the rest and slowly cut off the bottom, as the top grows it will eventually even out!”

Hairstyles that are kind to your locks

  1. Loose braids: Opt for loose, soft braids instead of tight braids to minimize tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
  2. Low ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to prevent snagging.
  3. Messy sandwich: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Don’t pull your hair too tight and use soft hair elastics.
  4. Soft waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
  5. Half up, half down: This hairstyle involves pulling back some of the hair while leaving the rest loose, reducing pressure on your scalp.
  6. Headbands and scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
  7. Loose braids for sleeping: Loosely braid your hair before going to bed to prevent tangles and breakage during the night.

“Don’t give up on the glued parts yet,” advised another.

“Go to the salon and see what they can do.

“Definitely a hair 911…but on the plus side, it didn’t gouge your eyes out.

“Seriously, it could have been a lot worse!”

“Please book with a stylist and let them know in advance that you need help fixing the ‘irreparable’ so they know they can take some time to help you and focus just on you,” said one third.

“I think you need to go to a salon to get the glue out and see what a professional can do,” someone else commented.

“You’re so beautiful, I bet they can give you a cute short haircut that will make the most of this.”
