I transformed my ‘terrible’ lime green bathroom on the cheap with Amazon bargains
A WOMAN has revealed how she and her husband gave her lime green bathroom a mega makeover without spending a lot of money.
Mother-of-four Katy Stephenson explained that while homeschooling her children during the coronavirus lockdown, she decided to paint her bathroom bright green.
However, four years later, the clever mother changed her mind about the bathroom design and wanted to give it a fresh new look.
As a result, she picked up bargains from the high street and got her husband to work.
Delighted with the DIY overhaul, Katy took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Post on DIY on a budgeta private Facebook group with 2.2 million members, Katy shared photos of her bathroom, which has been transformed from drab to fabulous, all on a budget.
Katy confirmed that to keep costs down, she bought items from Amazon, B&M and Dunelm and even used a clever curtain rod hack to add style to her space.
Alongside her post, she wrote: “It has taken weeks with so many problems caused by the builders who installed the original bathroom by taking shortcuts.
“There was literally blood, sweat and tears in this bathroom.
“All done by my wonderful husband between work shifts.
“A few things to add, like a black hand soap that I keep forgetting to pick up and pictures for the wall above the toilet, but I haven’t found what I’m looking for yet.
“But I am so happy with the end result.”
Katy’s bathroom has been totally transformed – what was once a lime green room is now incredibly chic and trendy, with gray interiors that we’re sure cleanfluencer Mrs Hinch would love.
Not only did the walls get a lick of fresh paint, but she even got a new shower and floor.
